Brad was great with communication and even though he was and is very busy he still got all tasks done in a timely and professional manner

Brad took the time to dig out the old rotten wood in the ground for the temporary fix. He even built and installed the new post when I wasn't home and then picked up his payment AFTER it was all said and done.

Reasonable price, good work

This is the 3rd time that I have hired Brad to do work at our home. This time, Brad installed a new water heater and expansion tank to replace our older water heater. I supplied the parts and Brad did the installation. He does a thorough job of explaining all aspects of the project so there are no surprises or misunderstandings. The installation was neat and clean and I am very happy with the installation. Brad is very knowledgeable in all aspects of home repairs and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

He returned our call four days after our leaving a message. Made appt and then had to move it Came out and told us it would be two to three weeks That was three and a half weeks ago. No sign of him.

Performed a difficult and dangerous task of trimming limbs hanging over our house that were 40 ft or higher. Did all this safely, removed branches/debris from this job and debris from another job that they did not perform. Very satisfied.

Brad was professional, punctual, and responsive. He cut a hole in my wall and installed a pet door. He taped off an area to keep things tidy, and brought a vacuum to clean up. He was spot on drilling holes for the 4 very long screws, something that many DIYers had difficulty based on reviews on Amazon.com.

It went very well. Brad called us prior to coming and was reasonably on time. He was very courteous and offered suggestions as appropriate. I would certainly use his services again.

I'm planning to use him again. He's extremely professional and nice. He's responsive. I called him and it was late in the evening. He still came. He actually didn't want to charge me for coming over because he didn't do anything. I thought it was really nice. I still gave him something. He was very honest.

Every job we have asked Brad to do has been performed professionally, the price has been reasonable and the quality of work and follow up has been excellent. The redwood deck is quite old and was not done properly. Brad made it much safer and more attractive. He both repaired and replaced the wood deck and fixed a two inch gap, and then painted the deck with a long lasting two stage paint that we selected. He replaced the controller on a very heavy ceiling fan, which I thought would take two people to handle, and did it promptly and efficiently. He arrived each day when he said he would, or if delayed, he contacted us to change the time and explain any delay. He was wonderful to work with and we will continue to use him in the future and have recommended him to others in the area.

This was our second project for Brad. In this case it was an electrical project. We wanted to improve the lighting in several rooms of our new home. Brad came by and we showed what we wanted done and he came back to us with a reasonable estimate via email within a day or two. We then scheduled the work for mutually convenient times. In two cases, due to how our house was constructed it wasn't possible to execute two of the sub-projects as we originally conceived. But working with Brad we were able to find agreeable changes that still gave us the improved lighting we were after. All the work was completed according to schedule and budget. Brad is very easy to work with, adaptable and knowledgeable in the many skills he possesses.

Brad is reliable, punctual, and seems to have a wide range of capabilities. His charges are quite reasonable. I would not hesitate to use him for most any service or repair work I might need in the future.

All the repairs,replacements went will. He is a pleasure to work with and his prices are fair. Last Friday, the garbage truck hit and broke the electronic gate, Brad came out that afternoon and repaired and reset so it did not close as quickly. we highly reocommend him as a handyman.

First off, I had no issue getting a hold of Brad. He was very responsive and professional. His came out to our house to review the project. His bid was very thorough and professional. For this project, we are going with someone else due to cost. For equivalent work, the person/company we selected, was 60% of his bid price. We also had another quote for close to the winning bid (it was even slightly lower). Due to Brad's professionalism and perceived competence, we would look to him for other projects.

He repaired my disposal and front doorbell; resealed the sink; reglued and mounted a broken cabinet door; replaced filters, fire alarm batteries, high ceiling light bulbs; vacuumed out the lint in my dryer hose. He cut a hedge, cleaned up the leaves in my front yard, and most importantly to me outside, trimmed up a large rosemary into presentable form (this included removing dead roots and large pieces of trunk) after someone calling himself a landscaper hacked it into the neighborhood eyesore. He was friendly, courteous and highly competent at anything I asked him to do. He had the tools and equipment needed for each job. He is somewhat more expensive than handymen I have had in the past, but definitely worth it.

worked efficiently. Mike Hawthorne was punctual. He did an excellent job. You can't tell where the walls were repaired. I would hire him again.

1. Brad showed up on time for our first contact. He assessed the situation and said there were several options, only one of which involved demolishing the old porch. He asked to take a few days to research the options before providing me with his preferred approach and an estimate. 2. He got back to me shortly via phone and email. He said the other options were less likely to be a long term solution or would not be as attractive as simply removing and re-pouring the concrete. 3. I approved the estimate and he said he would be able to start it in three days time. He and his sons showed up on time and quickly demo'd the old porch with a jackhammer. He then leveled, compacted and re-graded the soil adding material to stabilize and compact it. He took great care when setting up his forms to insure that when the cement was poured it would have the correct slope. 4. He had a very complete set of tools for concrete work. With the aid of his two sons they poured the new concrete and Brad continually worked to make sure that the surface was smooth and flat with no valleys or bellies. Once all the concrete was poured and smoothed he double-checked with a level to make sure the required slope was there. 5. The new concrete is now dry and when sprayed with large amounts of water it drains off quickly leaving no puddles. The job also required that several brick pavers at the outer edge of the concrete be removed. Brad was careful not to damage these and stored them in order for easy replacement. They had to be adjusted slightly to match the new slope of the concrete. Brad left some of them at the low end a bit high to allow them to settle. He said that if they hadn't settled after a few months that he would come back and grind their edges down flush with the concrete if we thought it necessary. 6. Brad is a soft spoken, humble guy, very easy to communicate with. He says he has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, which certainly doesn't hurt even on small jobs like ours. 7. I would certainly use Brad again and recommend him to others, in fact I already have.

I emailed Mr. Hawthorne, waited, waited, and never got any re;ly, no phone call - nada. Maybe the job was to small? I don't know, I was asking for an estimate for drywall in my bedroom. At least it would have been nice if he said something!! Sorry but this is not how you treat "potential customers" . I am very disappointed. M.R.
