Description of Work: This rating is for the company and NOT the plumber himself. It took about a week for the work to be finished after it was begun for several reasons. Most importantly, Veterans had only ONE plumber to cover all of appointments in the Tucson area; the rest, as I understand it, are working in the Phoenix area. Therefore, the plumber was over-booked for several jobs in the same space of time. It seems the plumbing in our 1970 residence is a bit irregular, so the job was much more complex than it initially appeared. It took a good deal more time than was expected because the clog could not be located. Two bathroom sinks in adjoining bathrooms shared a drain, and both were severely clogged, resulting in bathroom sinks backed up and full of sludge and liquid which could not be drained. At one point the snake punctured a hole in one of the bathroom's P-trap, covering the cabinet, floor and rug with filthy sludge which had to be cleaned (and the rug discarded). The full sinks stayed that way for nearly a week. The clog was extremely difficult to locate, even with the camera on the snake. The plumber would get started and then have to leave to cover another appointment previously booked by Veteran's main office in Phoenix. This was extremely frustrating for us and the plumber alike. It is my understanding that the plumber subsequently left the company because of the problems with scheduling and being the only Tucson-area plumber for the company which was an untenable situation. Despite the number of hours he spent on our plumbing problem before ultimately finding the clog's location and removing it, he felt it was fair to charge us very little because of our patience with the extreme inconvenience and overall situation. In no way would I hire this plumbing company again and strongly advise anyone else in the Tucson area from doing so until they can remedy the lack of plumbers in our area and drastically improve their scheduling.

Description of Work: Responded very quickly acknowledging my need for service by txt even thou it was late on a Sunday night. Spoke to them Monday and was able to schedule quickly. Roberto came with in time frame and diagnosed the problem quickly. Not a major fix but I was happy he was able to take care of it. Also looked at and answered several questions I had about plumbing issues. Very happy with him and the service.

 + -1 moreRoberto was very professional and courteous. I was supposed to get 2 hours of service for $108. He came out the first timel and said the wall board make have to be broken to fix old faucet, so he postponed doing until I got someone to fix the wall board, should it break. He came again today and was able to fix the faucet without breaking the wall board. He finished fixing the two faucet areas within an hour, but told me he was done because he counted coming out here last week. I didn't think he would charge for that because he didn't fix anything. He was never here for the whole 2 hours. I had a third plumbing problem which he resisted fixing because he said he didn't have any time left on the 2 hours. I disagreed, but didn't say anything because I didn't want to argue with him. If someone is forced to do something, they won't do a good job, I believe. I asked him if he could just look at the (3rd problem) under the sink. He did, and told me to go get another 1/4 " tubing and put it on myself. He charged $75 for parts to the faucets in the bath tub, which I felt was high, but I went along with it, because I wanted to be able to use the tub and shower. I said I would use him again, but I would want clear communication up front about charges and time. I also would like prices of parts ahead of time, should I need them. He did bring parts, so he knew I may need them. Clear communication could be improved.
Description of Work: Changed the faucets on bath tub and clothes washer. Changed the diverter on shower.

 + -1 moreThis is a great company! I called up to buy a $200 coupon for $100. I asked if that would be good for replacing a garbage disposal. The very friendly lady on the phone asked if I need any other plumbing done, when I responded no only the garbage disposal, she said that it $75 and not to buy the coupon. I could save $25.00 this way. She made the appointment for that day and I think his name was Rueben came out and did a wonderful and very clean job. He was very polite and knowledgeable and cleaned everything up very nicely. I would encourage anyone to use them, very professional and honest.

He completed all four tasks including re-installing the original shower head when the new one was found to be defective. All work was completed within the two-hour work order. Would definitely call Veteran's Plumbing and Drain when we need a plumber.
Description of Work: Two hours of labor for $109 (Angie's Big Deal). We had prepared in advance and had parts here for plumber to install. Parts included new control cartridges for two showers, new shower head for one shower and new kitchen pull-out single-lever faucet.

 + -1 morePlumber (Roberto Pou) arrived within 5 minutes of when he had said he would arrive. He looked at the toilets and recommended that I no longer use the Clorox tablets as they eat away the rubber of the flapper. He showed me what flapper surface should look like and then showed me my flapper surfaces (these are flappers that are only six yrs old) and indicated it was the Clorox tablets that I put in the toilet that had made the flapper surface like a washboard and was causing the toilets to leak. He replaced the four flappers. He was to replace one handle that had broken, and showed me where the other handles were ready to break, so he replaced the toilet handles and arms that attached to flappers.

They did not make it that day. I called, apparently the receptionist took my wrong information. They made a specific trip once I told them of the problem. A week passed before the job was completed. My tenant said they were professional, but just dealing with the hassle, wasn't worth it.

I was told to expect the repairman between 8 and 11 am. The repairman called me around 11 to say that he would be late. He arrived before 12. He was very friendly and professional. He fixed the problem with my garbage disposal in 2 minutes. I had paid for 2 hours of labor so it didn't turn out to be a great deal, but the problem was fixed! My overall feeling about the transaction is very good.

 + -1 moreRandy was efficient, pleasant, and checked everything that needed to be checked out before he gave a definite answer as to what the problem was. Unfortunately, it did take a 2nd call to figure out what the actual problem was, but all in all, it was in our better interested, because other potential problems were averted by our having to do this. The whole situation could have been so much worse!
Description of Work: Some faucet repairs were made in 1 of our showers, and the other shower/tub had a drain replaced, and when that did not solve the problem, we called Randy again, and the second time around, he found tha a water line was broken, so he had to replace the entire faucet, which took alot of time, as he had to cut a hole in a wall to get to the problem. He was professional and took care of the problem over 2 days, as he had alot of appointments that he was working on. He actually came to our house in the evenings because he had so much going on.

Description of Work: It was 5pm, 30 degrees and my hose bib started leaking in back of the house out in Three Points, AZ. This was my first time using Angie's List and my first pick for a plumber. Since I live approximately 30 miles SW of Tucson, AZ. which is a good distance outside his service area map. He had another job to finish,and arrived at 7pm. Marcos wasted no time following my wife out to the water meter with a flash light at the other end of the property to shut the water off which needed a special tool which most people don't ordinarily have. He returned to the leak and promptly replace the hose bib with a new one.

Called ahead of time and showed up when stated within a 15 min window. Bit of an oddball job changing out one modelfor a different one, couple of plumbing workarounds, but they handled it with professionalism.
Description of Work: Had Frank replace a non-working InSinkErator Badger 5 with a newer model InSinkErator Evolution Essential. They did an excellent job, newmodel is very quiet, can still hold a conversation when it is on. Put up with12 years of having to turn the TV up every time the old garbage disposalwas running.
