Sevice was as advertised. They were as careful as possible, no damage, and cleaned up after service. You will still have to reseal and touch up paint around grates but that would be with any service. The technicans, Mike and Francisco, have been with the company for 8 and 9 years respectively. They were very professional and knowledgeable, and explaned the service and what to expect during service.

They were very courteous and friendly. I scheduled it like the next day, it didn't take long at all. They were very quick on that. It was air duct vacuuming, not the actual cleaning. I was happy with them.

The service arrived timely this morning with what I thought was a small army (3 men). They explained to me what the procedure was for cleaning the ducts and it would take 1-1/2 to 2 hours.. These young men (Mike, Pat and Cisco?) were very professional and capably efficient. Because there were 3 crewmen, they finished early. They swiftly cleaned up and packed up. I paid the remainder of my bill (since my 1784 sq ft house was larger than what the 1300 sq ft special allowed). Like western cowboys, they rode off into the horizon of Fountain of the Sun (just before the rain started).

It went very very well. Technicians were very polite and professional. Work was completed in about 2.5 hours. Angies List Deal was $279 for1300 sq feet. My home has 1837 sq, so was charged an additional $145 for the service.

The two techs were efficient and courteous. Lead tech was Mike Cisco.

All the presentation and techs were nice on time, but the equipment used I do not think it can do the proper job. This why I gave a C in the quality. The add by Angies list with the $279 price for duct cleaning was deceptive. Because I ended up being charged $374 and not $279.00 I could have the same job done for $250.00 but opted for angieslist due to the quality of ethical work implied by using these contractors. I wasn't there to verify the job, I am the landlord. The renters tell me that they did a good job.

This was an awesome experiance. Husband and I have bad allergies, and the air duct cleaning was a suggestion. They arrived before scheduled time ( I like that)! Got right to work. Was told for my size of houseit would that 4 hours to get the job done. The guys rocked it out in3. Thanks so much!!

When I spoke with Steve on the phone, he gave a list of services to be performed during the cleaning, among them a HEPA cleaning of the system and vacuuming the A/C coils. I thought the latter was unlikely, because the AC is a rooftop unit. The crew did not do the HEPA or coil cleaning. They had a large vacuum cleaner with a very long hose, and vacuumed and swabbed a few feet into the ductwork and cleaned the grills. The 3-man crew were professional, uniformed, and polite. They worked hard and cleaned a lot of grills in a relatively short period of time, and cleaned up after themselves well. I did not get a list of services to be performed in writing, which was a rookie mistake on my part. I might call Top Hatter again, but would get a clearer explanation of what was to be done.

I called to make an appointment & they came out the next day. Arrived on time, very professional. I use to run a service company & had very high standards for my service techs; so I am very, very critical of service techs that service my home. We had a small issue with the air handler cover not being reattached correctly creating no heat in the home. I called the actual service tech; he & his partner arrived within 1 hour to correct the situation and on a Sunday morning! They will not disappoint.

Now we can inhale house air without coughing. Great job!

They did a great job of cleaning the dryer vent from the vent opening and also from the roof vent. Cut my drying time in half, and I don't worry about a fire

I moved into a 10 year old home. Vents and duct work had never been cleaned. I hired Top Hatter to do this work. At first, I was shocked at their prices because it was more than I was used to paying. However, the difference is that other companies simply blow out the duct work. This company actually scrubs, and cleans everything, by hand. You definitely get what you pay for. The cleaning I had was phenomenal. Worth every penny and looking back, the price was very reasonable considering how hard the crew work and how clean and sparkling everything was when they finished. The crew arrived on time and was a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely hire again! I also had them clean some carpeting in the house. Very reasonably priced, and they scrubbed the carpet until it was immaculate. Couldn't have asked for a better job!

The crew arrived a few minutes early (a WOW!)We have a combination of box ducting, flexi-duct plenum ducting in our home (more like a commercial building than your usual residential venting.)The technicians were so attentive to the intricacies of the system and so responsive to my personal requests it was amazing!This is not an easy system to clean thoroughly and the results are FANTASTIC!The lead tech was VERY knowledgeable and the team exceptionally thorough.The team was extremely respectful of the furnishings in the house and REALLY CLEANED UP WELL after they completed the job.(No fingerprints, smudges or debris anywhere!)This was the 3rd time I've used Top Hatter's services and each time has been better than the previous cleaning.I recommend them WITHOUT hesitation and with great enthusiasm!

I was surprised the price was that high given that someone else submitted an Angie's report where they charged only $40 for this service, but other reports got the same price I did. They were pleasant when I called, got me into their schedule right away on a saturday. The technician arrived on time, was pleasant to talk to, and gave a lot of good tips on how to extend the time before we'll need to get the dryer vent cleaned again. Dryer performance improved immediately, which tells me he did a great job.

I contacted Top Hatter to have my air ducts cleaned; I previously used Sears 3 years ago and thought I would use a company recommended on this site. The young men were prompt, friendly and professional. The work performed consisted of taking the grates off and using a wet rag to wipe out the inside of the ducts, which they could not have been able to clean the entire system this way. When I previously used Sears, they used a powerful truck mounted system to suck all the debris, dust, dirt, etc. out of my ducts. Top Hatter used a wet rag and a shop vac. I should have done my homework and asked questions-this was a very amateur endeavor. Now I will have to contact someone else to clean the ducts again. The 2 technicians arrived, all smiles and very friendly. They described exactly what they'd be doing and went right to work. They were punctual, thorough, efficient, professional and neat. Highly recommend!!

I had called another company who was extremely high priced. The lady who answered the phone at Top Hatter thought that price was way out of line also. I had called them late in the afternoon and they arrived promptly at 8:45 the next morning. They were neat, courteous and professional. They finished quickly and cleaned up everything. The bill was exactly what I was quoted over the phone.

I really like this company because they came in and did a very good job. They were quick and efficient. Very respectful of my home and I was very comfortable with them. I would definitely recommend them to other people.
