Splendid!!! Can't recommend any higher. Great communication. Nathan's crew crew cleaned up beautifully everyday. What few ad-ons we had were discussed and left up to me. They were performed exactly as stated and cost what they said it would. The price was mid-range of all my estimates but toward the lower end of that scale. Nathan Spencer did a great job of explaining what was needed to repair my roof and also the required maintenance. Our roof was poorly done originally by a home flipper which is very common in our area. Spencer 4 hire did an excellent job repairing the poor craftsmanship on our roof until we can afford a roof replacement.

They did a thorough job of power cleaning our roof. Then applied coats of sealer. They went above and beyond to do the job. Splendid work!! Nice guys. Considerate and very professional. We cannot say enough good things about them. They worked painstakingly for 4 mornings to get the job done.

Made an appointment for an estimate to repair/replace rolled roofing and some rotted wood on a patio cover. Provider didn't show up, so I called him the next day. He said I was one of three appointments he didn't get to, but he was in the area and would come over. He looked at the project, verified what it was I wanted, and said he would email me an estimate, verifying my email address. I never heard from him again. Maybe the project was too small, being a standard sized patio cover and not a whole house roof. He was a nice enough guy, but with the unreliable start, I didn't care to find out why he never got back to me.

Nate came out to provide me with an estimate. Unlike others that had come out, he was honest in telling me there was nothing wrong with my roof. I really appreciated he was not out just to make money. He even provided me a letter stating this that I could provide to the buyers of our home. E

These folks were an absolute pleasure to work with. They came out and gave me a free estimate. I had two other companies do the same and chose Spender 4 Hire Roofing. I was very impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, and detailed explanations. I knew before starting this that the roof was a wreak and several areas of plywood over both the front and rear patio were very badly damaged.They discussed options and recommendations with me prior to writing up the estimate and kept me informed as the work progressed. The work was completed ahead of schedule and looks beautiful! They totally blew me away with quality of their work and the speed with which it was accomplished. I highly recommend them!

Quality, INTEGRITY, extraordinary customer service and prices that are not the highest nor the lowest. It's not just that they did the work, they did it right and did it right the first time. They were eager to educate us on what caused the problems and why it hadn't been resolved by other roofers. I totally trust them. They respected us and the property (immaculate clean up). We've never been so impressed with a service provider.

They showed up on time, did a thorough job, showed me photos of all the problem areas, gave me a couple of options that could temporarily fix the problems, and a ball park cost of those options. Due to the age of the roof and the number of problems, it was clear to me the whole roof should be replaced. When I advised Home owner of issues, they had their own guy evaluate the roof and he also told them entire roof needed replacing. Many issues could be seen from the sidewalk, but others weren't visible from the walk.

It didn't work out. I used the service and they recommended all this work that I needed. Then I had another company come and inspect. It turns out that I didn't need any of that work they said. They told me that my bill would have been about $800. What I needed was a tube of sealant for $20 from Home Depot. I did not use them again and I wouldn't use them again. It was a big fiasco. What he was telling me was wrong with the roof, wasn't even close, to the problem that I had. I'm missing two shingles at the front point of the house. I had a leak at the very opposite end. He was telling me that it was because of the shingles. Then he told me that the whole length of the house was leaking. The kid didn't know what he was talking about. Then, when they sent me an e-mail with an estimate, you could tell that somebody else wrote it up, because the write-up was all in detail about totally different things than what the first guy was talking about. It was crazy. I showed it to the inspector and he was like, "There's no way. You don't need that. Your roof is in good shape." I would not recommend them and I wouldn't bother with them again. I think they sent somebody that had nothing to do with roofing. This kid didn't know what he was talking about.

I feel confident now that the roof is in good shape, and I will ask the roofer back every two years for same inspection as he recommended.

It was a little frustrating trying to get my appointment scheduled. After several phone calls and emails I finally got an email from Brandon. I'd have to say he was really apologetic about it all. Short end of it all is I am very pleased with Brandon on how he handled everything, he made it right when it was all said and done. Thank you for an overall great service!

We had 5 bids, 2 higher and 2 lower in price. Spencer 4 Hire Roofing was the only one who suggested not replacing the asphalt over the patio and to extend the foam to the patio edge. resulting in a cooler patio. Also, asphalt does not have as long of a life span so when it had to be replaced, it was joined under the foam so that would have been a mess. They were also the only vendor to suggest that the roof top HVAC system should be placed on a cage so that water does not pool underneath, which was what was happening. The cage is a standard size so when we replace the HVAC system, it can still go on the cage. Of course, our weather has not been conducive to roofing but they started as soon as they could and finished when they said they would. They were very helpful in removing some items that had ended upon the roof like antenna, a dish antenna, and some other items. They were great at communication, they reviewed the ongoing maintenance. I was very happy with them and plan on having them maintain the roof.

At the first stages of the process, Brandon (owner) was very responsive to calls and responded quickly to an estimate. I decided to go with this company based on the Angie's List reviews and his estimate. He notified me that there was a cancellation for a project creating some availability in early August. What follows is a narration of events. 8/3: I left a message with him to call me back for an update on the approximate time he would start the project. His voicemail message did state that because of the of weather conditions, they would be delayed in returning calls. I did not receive a response on that date. 8/4: I left another message at 480-446-7663 requesting a call back for an update for an approximate time he would start the roof repair/replacement. 8/5: I received a phone call and the person confirmed the project would start on 8/17. 8/12: I received a call from someone at my house that there were people dropping off roof material. I didn't know anything about this visit. I contacted Spencer4Hire and received a follow-up phone call about two hours later. The gentleman stated he had left a message for me advising that the material would be dropped off. I advised I did not recall any message but asked if we were on scheduled to begin work on 8/17. He stated we were and he would contact me either 8/14 or 8/15. 8/16: I received a call advising that they would be at the home between 5 and 6 on 8/17. 8/17 (day 1 of the actual work): I waited around until 6AM. I had to leave for work. I did not receive any call about being late. 8/17-8/22: They parked a container of some sort in the driveway to store discarded items which took up half the driveway blocking an entry to the garage. Although I realize they needed it, it would have been helpful to know it was going to be there so I could coordinate car needs accordingly in the two car household. 8/24: Nathan had visited the home in the morning, I assume, to check the work. I received a call from him stating that he would come and pick up a satellite dish the roofers removed from one of the surfaces. That was a nice surprise to take care of that for me. He also wanted the last half of the payment. After the phone call, I discovered, that there were some areas left gray on the roof that should have been painted red (the areas where the planes of the roof connected). I believe those areas are called "mortar balls." I called Nathan back and he stated he would have someone come to paint those areas on 8/25. He stated he would meet me at 5PM, on 8/24, to collect the payment. He arrived sometime around 5:30PM. He stated he would return on 8/25 at 6AM to repaint the mortar balls to match the style of the rest of the neighborhood. 8/25: I returned home from work at 5:15PM and see that the mortar balls aren't painted. I called Nathan. Nathan stated he didn't start the painting for fear of the rain causing problems to the process. He stated he would return some time during 8/26/15 to finish the job. It did end up storming that evening. 8/26: Everything was painted as agreed. Overall, the quality of the work seems fine. And, they completed the project on time as they agreed. Ideally, I wouldn't have had to make as many phone calls as I did to understand the process and follow-up on some of the quality issues. It would be helpful if, when the work actually starts, someone explain what will happen to help manage expectations.

I was not able to be at the roof inspection. I received a quote in a timely manner. However, the inspection was no as comprehensive as I though it would be. I received a quote from another roofing company, for free, that took photographs of cracked tiles and exposed roof.

They were able to squeeze us in with their tight schedule so that we could have an inspection done before deciding on purchasing a home. They were on time and provided me with a estimate for repair and replacement and walked me around the home to show examples and explain findings. I was also provided a report in invoice that same evening. Staff is friendly and professional.

The entire team was professional and caring, they had good humor, despite the AZ sun, they re-nailed all my edge tiles that needed it, re-cemented where needed. Replaced 4 tiles. I could not be happier and recommend them very highly. Family business, which made it even more remarkable to support! Use them you will not be sorry.

The solar water heater installation that we had was missing proper flasking and sealing of the roof. He identified that and took pictures so that I can use them. He was very honest and suggested that we have the company that completed the solar water heater installation do the fixing of the problem. The solar water heater company has been fixing the problem they created. I would use Spencer 4 Hire again - very honest and if you don't need an entire roof, he will tell you what you need and not oversell.

I was impressed with workmanship and effort of the crew. They worked memorial day week (including a couple of 10-12 hour days) and started each day around 6 am completing job as promised by the end of the week. A construction knowledgeable neighbor was able to observe frequently and was impressed by quality of workmanship.

We enthusiastically recommend Spencer4Hire. You will get high quality work, clear and honest communication about problems, and very professional crews. We found Spencer4Hire on Angie's list when we began to search for two homes in AZ. Brandon saved us from making an offer on a house whose roof needed replacement and did an inspection report on a home that we pourchased that helped us negotiate a better price. We proceeded to do the repairs identified in the inspection report. The first part of the project required repairs on our primary flat foam roof that included replacement of leaking skylights and application of high quality coating. We ran into a snag when Nathan discovered that a solar panel had been poorly installed and in fact had damaged the foam under the panel. With his guidance, we were able to solve the problem quickly and he repaired the foam with no change to the original contract. The second project, described above, grew like Topsy. The crew removed substantial amounts of rotted wood. Replacement wood had to be special ordered and Nathan called before placing the order to ensure that I knew and approved the cost. The replacement process was an exercise that required skill, strength and problem solving. Every person on this job was friendly and helpful. One example for which I am particularly grateful: our movers arrived a day in advance with no notice and our patio was full of roofing supples and debris. Nathan got it cleaned up within an hour so our move could proceed. For anyone who loves kickboxing like I do, you will want to know that Brandon also runs a gym called JAB Fitness.

We were very impressed from our first contact to the last walk through with this company. Brandon did the initial review of our roof and his analysis was thorough; no surprises at the end of the job. Nathan was always available to answer our questions during the repair and employs an excellent crew to complete the required tasks to accomplish the repair. The workers were respectful of our property, completed the work on time and did a great job cleaning up our grounds. They matched our tile, removed and reinstalled our skylight staying late until it was back in place. Their professionalism and pride in their work (especially Raul) made us feel good about retaining this company for our repair. They are busy but worth the wait.

This job initially was to simply repair a leak in the porch. Not so much. After going through 5 different roofers and their estimates, we decided it was time to pull up the old roof on our twenty-something home and replace the tarpaper as well as fix the leaks in the roof (It turned out that not only our back porch roof leaked, but we also had a leak in the front of our house -- Spencer 4 Hire was the only roofer who identified the rather obvious leak in the front of our house). We had planned on reusing all the old roofing tile. However, as was pointed out by two other roofers including Spencer 4 Hire, many of our roofing tiles had cracks. It turned out that over 40% of our roofing tiles had cracked, manufacturing defects probably. The cracks were not superficial; they went all the way through the tile. At our request, we did not want to just replace the bad roof tiles and worry about the other roof tiles cracking, Spencer 4 Hire worked with both his supplier and the actual roofing company who made the tiles and came up with a financial solution we all could live with. As I mentioned before, we had 4 other roofing estimates. Spencer 4 Hire was not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. However, they were the ones we had the most confidence that the job would get done correctly. That the house we would be able to go another twenty years without needing any major repairs. That the roofers would be able to fix and or address any problems that might occur during the repair / replacement process and that they would not only keep us informed but work with us in getting the job done right. Their workmanship was excellent. We also have signed a maintenance agreement with Spencer 4 Hire, to ensure that the roof is inspected and loose tiles fixed every year Definitely Recommended
