We had a two layer roof (2400 square foot house plus a patio cover) which needed to be removed before a new roof could be installed. A friend of ours had used Spencer-4-Hire for their roofing project and spoke very highly of their service. Being the OCD project people we are, we obtained two other quotes. All three were within a few dollars of each other which made me feel good about the accuracy of the estimate. We went with Spencer-4-Hire because we had a first-hand referral. The project was completed within the estimated cost and the roof looks great. Our neighbor has since used Spencer-4-Hire and is also very pleased.

Nathan from Spencer 4 Hire Roofing was prompt and professional and performed great work for us. We had some minor roof damage in a recent wind storm, and Nathan responded quickly and was out to evaluate the job the next day by “walking the roof” to make sure he knew exactly what needed to be repaired/replaced. He then obtained matching roofing tiles, and was back the following day to complete the job. All in all, incredibly prompt, high-quality service. I would not hesitate to utilize Spencer 4 Hire Roofing again.

Spencer 4 Hire did an excellent job in replacing my tile roof. They were professional, punctual and affordable. They even came back to take care of repairs that were beyond the scope of original work free of charge.

Everything went well- the employees worked long, hot days to get it done quickly and efficiently. They took care to clean up the area at the end of each day. The owner noticed something minor on our roof a week after the job was done while on the roof of the neighbors (doing a bid) behind us and came over and took care of it. We would have never been aware but that shows how meticulous, thorough, and conscientious they are!

Called on 4/4 asking for an estimate on fixing a few broken shingles and to put in a ridge vent. One of them. Came out that Friday morning 4/6. In summarizing what I needed, the guy (forgot his name but is one of the brothers) stated that I was looking to replace the roof. When I corrected him he suddenly seemed disappointed and told me that they really don’t do maintenance work, but offered to take a look anyway. When he was done inspecting the roof, he reiterated that they don’t normally do maintenance work and that he would talk to his brother and get back to me. Either by phone or email me. It’s a week later and I have heard nothing. I actually hired someone who does want my business to do the work. So unless you have a high dollar item I gather these guys have better things to do. Wouldn’t waste my time with this company.

Very well. After the roof was inspected, I was told that the roof, which was installed by Spencer 4 hire, 6 yrs. ago, was in good shape. The roof endured 6 yrs. of the Arizona sun and elements, and was still fine, thanks to the great job that was done by the Spencer Co. I do not need another inspection for 18 months, and will certainly use the company if, and when, a coating is required.

This is a real family business and we worked with the father and both sons. They offered a competitive bid and did a great job with the project. Where we had an ambiguity about what repairs were covered in our contract they went out of their way to address our concerns. Throughout the process I felt they were straightforward and knowledgeable about the work.

I invited quotes from several companies. Nathan not only provided the best quote but also provided the best warranty for workmanship and materials. Everything went according to schedule. John and the other workers were very professional and did an excellent work. They utilized the best resources. After completion, everything was cleaned up. I am very pleased and am hopeful that the roof will last for a long time.

SO... I needed no work, it turned out. Spencer 4 Hire would have charged me $350 for his "roof tuneup" without driving down the street to peek first. The good company I called sent out a pro to give an estimate and he found the roof needed no work and it appeared to have been previously fixed (which would explain not having had problems with recent rains).... ended up the husband had someone fix it and I didn't know and husband didn't know why I had someone coming out, thought I had found a new problem. But I kept the 2nd company's card and will trust them totally if I have a roof problem. Spencer.... I'd never call again.

I did my homework on roofing companies and got recommendations from neighbors. I received three different quotes from reputable companies, including Spencer. Spencer's quote came in WAY below the other two, they used better materials, and were very responsive. The job was scheduled quickly, done when they told me it would be, and execution of the work was professional and tidy. Nathan has been out for the free annual inspection and everything is looking great. I'm very happy I chose Spencer. They saved me thousands of dollars, do great work and are personable, professional, and respectful.

They got the job done in efficiently and in the usual time. They used high quality parts. This included 3 sky lights.

Great. Would have liked to be scheduled sooner, but there's always a wait for good service.

We wanted to be sure to get the repair done before the monsoon season, and they were able to squeeze us in in May due to another customer who rescheduled. They completed the work in 6 days, Monday - Saturday, as promised. They did a good job of cleaning up all of the trash and debris. They even painted the trim for us (we provided the paint).

They did a very good job. The quality looks excellent.There was an average of 6 workers on my roof, and we were completely satisfied.

They did everything they said they would and the cost was what ever they quoted. The price was good, that is why I used them. The quality was very good. We set up a schedule and they came out. I never even saw them. They did it on time and they did it the same day we asked for it. I am guessing there were okay, I mean everything was well taken care of, even after they left there was no signs of them even being there. Well it was a very professional job because like I said, I never even saw them because I was at work and when I got home, there was no sign of them being there other than the roof looking clean as can be. There was no sign of them being there, nothing on the ground or anything.

Called and left a message Tuesday morning with description of what I wanted done and asked for a call back to get an idea of what it might cost and set up an appointment for completion of the work. It's now Thursday and still no word from them. Clearly don't need the business.

I have just recently had my roof inspected by spencer4hireroofing, had shingles replaced/repaired and provided with a 20 year warranty, They did a spectacular jot, very efficient and thorough, kept me informed on all aspects. Easy to contact, came to check out my (flat) roof, and gave a quote for SPF (Spray Polyurethane Foam) roof. Answered several questions I had via email. I decided to proceed. Upon review of the contract/terms and conditions, I noted several instances where it was noted that Spencer 4 Hire Roofing would NOT assume or accept any responsibility for any damage in the course of demolition, construction or installation. I crossed these lines out on the contract, as I feel a reputable company would stand behind their work and pay for any damage they may cause while performing the job hired to do. I had the check written but was advised they would not allow any changes made to the document. Buyer Beware. I am proceeding with another roofing company.

We contacted Spencer 4 Hire Roofing in late February for an estimate. After we explained that this was a small job, and we could not afford several thousand dollars for a repair, we were told that Brendon would call back. We never heard from the company again.
