John started the roofing company a number of years ago, his son Nathan now owns and runs the company. John quoted on the job, and was hands on closely supervising the work from start to finish. John seemed knowledgeable, experienced and seemed to me to be a person that took pride in his work. The work was completed in a timely manor, with good cleanup work done on completion.

The work on replacing the paper under the tile on our roof and a new patio roof went great. They did a super job, but they needed to mix some concrete for some of the work which they did about 6 feet in front of our front door. They spilled stuff on the sidewalk, some of which I can't get off. Also, they splashed concrete on our entry wall so there are now grey spots on about a 6 ft. section of it. Also, they spilled something that stained our sidewalk and I can't get that removed either after scrubbing it. The front has a faucet in the shrubbery by the entry which is what they used. On the other side of the garage was another outlet with a hose which is what should have been used. Other than the mess I can't clean up they did an excellent job on the roof. I was just frustrated by their lack of caring for our sidewalk and wall.

They showed up, did a good job, and I didn't have to wait 6 months. Reasonable price, they are licensed, bonded, and insured (delivery guy fell off our second story, that is IMPORTANT). Roof doesn't leak, the only complaint is they didn't put the TV antenna back correctly, but they are after all roofers. Very satisfied.

Outstanding!!! Nathan is great to work with. His estimate was thorough...included photos, precise measurements and specifics on work guarantee. He and his crew kept to the agreed schedule and cleaned up Ground area of any debris from the project. The completed project looks great...like it’s a brand new roof. The courtesy annual roof inspections is a much appreciated bonus. I’ve already recommended Spencer-4-Hire to several friends and neighbors.

Great. Some issues were found and all were fixed without charge even though some were outside of the warranty.

This company and its employees epitomize professionalism. From sales through acceptance, everyone was friendly and respectful. After each day’s work, they walked our entire property with a big magnet in order to retrieve any errant nails or screws. They swept all hardscape (driveway, deck, sidewalks), picked scraps out of the gravel landscaping, and even skimmed the pool and fished out things that had fallen in and sunk to the bottom. They always were on time and worked efficiently and effectively. The few new tiles that were needed were incorporated seamlessly and in the least visible areas. The result speaks for itself. We gladly would hire Spencer’s Roofing again. Although, they do such quality work, we likely won’t need to call them for 20 years!

Nathan performed a thorough, professional inspection of my roof. He found no immediate problems needing attention, complimented the company that installed the roof and gave me piece of mind while identifying a small issue to keep an eye on for the future. Terrific!

The job went well with a couple glitches, which is bound to happen. Nathan took care of everything, kept me informed, and was extremely easy to work with. The crew cleaned up before they left and showed up on time each morning. I would recommend Spencer 4 Hire to anyone looking for a dependable roofer at a reasonable price. No complaints whatsoever, and to me that says a lot.

We had an A+++ experience with Spencer 4 Hire roofing. Great communication, on time, excellent quality, we could not have been happier. When priced againsted other contractors, they were right in line, BUT with higher quality matierials, such as the upgraded battens. Job site was left clean every day. The friendly team workers were very informative and answered our questions. We will be referring this company to all of our friends and family.

I needed this done in a very short time frame as a corrective action associated with the sale of a house. Spencer 4 hire worked with me to find matching tiles and get the job done very quickly. They do quality work and are very professional. This is the second time I have used them. The first time was to re-roof my in-laws house 2016. They have impressed me to the point that they are my first option whenever I have a roofing issue.

Nathan came out to do an inspection on my roof, I wanted to see what kind of repairs might be needed due to the heavy rains and storms we have had this year. He did the inspection and showed me where one shingle had come off, the rest of my roof was fine. He very graciously offered to replace the one shingle, for no charge!! To say I was not only surprised, but very grateful would be an understatement. How often do we encounter this kind of service in this day and age. I will definitely call upon Nathan again if I needed anything done on my roof.

My job wasn't very big so I appreciate Spencer 4 Hire making time among all the other bigger jobs to come fix my roof. There was a little bit of a scheduling problem where I was left waiting but in the end, they made it right. I would recommend and I would hire again.

Excellent. This is a large expense for a home owner; and as a result I received 6 bids from registered contractors at Angie’s list. In my opinion, Brandon’s and Spencer 4 Hire’s proposal was very clear in what work was going to be completed and clearly explained the charges. They are a family owned business and it my opinion it is evident. The roofing team showed up on the date and time when they promised; and they showed up each day at the same time. They cleaned the debris every day around my home when they left. When the broken tiles needed to be replaced, Mr. Spencer discussed with me how they would position the replacement tiles, so they would not be seen from the ground. The roof tile is now much more condensed. Also all of the roofing trim was painted to match the roof. Extremely nice final work product; much better than my original roof. Excellent work.

They were able to repair everything

This is an amazing family owned business. They went above and beyond our expectations with scheduling, tearing out the old roof, clean-up, dependable, cost, and the oversight of the job! We highly recommend them and we will be referring all of our friends and family to them! Thank you again for a job well done!!!

They offered a great deal on roof repair through Angie's List, and got the job done weeks ahead of any other company's estimate. A+ for responsiveness. The only problem was they could not tell us exactly when the work would be performed: it was a surprise up until the minute they showed up at the house. Communication really could have been better.
