Response from Spencer 4 Hire Roofing LLC
I'm very sorry you were not satisfied with the work we completed for you. I would be happy to address all of your concerns if you would like to contact me. As far as the concerns in this review: 1st Regarding the time frame of work: We give all our customers the estimated start time at the point of sale, it has been a very busy year for us. I'm sorry we were booked a few weeks out at the time we contracted your repairs but we schedule our jobs in the order they are sold. 2nd Regarding the scope of work: We do all our jobs to the same scope and high standards of work set forth in the contract you were provided. If you feel we did not do something we stated we would do in the contract we would be happy to rectify that matter. We do all our concrete tile roofs with full two layers of 40lb underlayment, just as we did yours. 3rd Regarding hauling off a lot of materials: Your job was roughly "4 square", a relatively small job (400 square feet). One roll of 40lb underlay does 200 square feet of roofing, therefore, installing a 2 layer system over a "4 square" section of roof would of needed approximately 4 rolls (or 800 square feet) of 40lb underlay to complete. A lot of times when we have smaller jobs we load the trucks with materials for several jobs at once to save on trips back and forth. Your roof was done to the scope of work outlined in your bid with 2 layers of 40lb underlay over the contracted section. The section of roof contracted to replace was also clearly marked on the job drawing and clearly stated in the bid. 4th Regarding the owner "not doing the job": While we try to have an owner on every job to oversee production, an owner does not preform all the work on every job. We have several employees and crews. I'm sorry if you were under the impression that one of the owners was going to install your roof themselves. Lastly, I'd like to say that this review comes as quite a shock and surprise because you seemed completely satisfied with the work at the final walk through. We even went as far as to paint your eves on the areas repaired as a curtsey to save you the cost of hiring a painter. We had an owner was on your job several times to insure work was done up to the highest of standards. However, if there is something we were contracted to do and did not do, or if there was something we missed, we would be more then happy to rectify the problem.
