Description of Work: Install 2 large chandeliers

Description of Work: We had kind of a weird wiring situation and wanted it changed. (our house was built in 1954). Their agent came out, spent time figuring out just what was what and then explained everything clearly. Unfortunately the fix would be much more involved and expensive then we were ready for at this time. So we did not move forward. I am reviewing these guys because they did everything we asked, seamed knowledgeable, was patient and clearly explained things. Like I said above, when I finally decide to pull the trigger or need some other work done, I would call them again.

Description of Work: They fixed the various issues with failed switches, florescent lights, and similar items that we pointed out. One electrician, Jim, was very professional and personable. He appeared to be in charge. The other, Ryan, was rather lazy and avoided work. Especially when Jim needed to run to Home Depot when all he wanted to do was talk. He outright refused my request that he check what a specific switch was connected to, since he had previously discovered that another switch "was a three way." How he knew the switch in question was the third was beyond my understanding. He did absolutely nothing to verify his conclusion. He also wrote an estimate for wiring a hot tub based on the easiest connection as compared to the place we would have wanted the tub located (he never asked). His first estimate had the tub close to the street as compared to a secluded part of the yard. They showed up late and left early, working about 7 total hours rather than the 8 hours we paid for. (This can be verified in part by the credit card time stamp which is about 15 minutes earlier than the supposed stop time.) All in all we were satisfied with the work done by Jim (though he too was late and left early). But we would not risk having Ryan come back. The date provided above is very approximate.

She informed me that: 1) They would not be able to schedule the work for 2 to 3 weeks 2) That it would cost an additional $600 or more 3) That to get an accurate (onsite) estimate, I would have to pay for a service call Since that call, we hired another electrician who is doing the entire job for a total labor cost of $300.
