+ 0 moreNever "went." This business could not provide services within less than ten days, nor could they make a referral to a fellow business or craftsman. When told that the sporadic outages had also affected refrigeration and stoves, they suggested "contact another business." Did they know of one? Nope. Could they not have a worker out in less than ten days ("emergency!"?) Nope. Spectacularly unhelpful.
Description of Work: Over-the-sink sconces in bathroom shorting out, causing "lights out" throughout various parts of home.

+ -1 moreI called and we agreed on a time and date to do the work. I already had all of the material and the cabinets were pre-wired. When I asked for an hourly rate or price quote, they could provide me with neither. They said they must come out in order to give any sort of ball park estimate. When I asked them to give me a price range low end to high end again, they would not provide me with that information either. It is a waste of both of our times for them to come out and charge me a fee completely out of line with the work needed. I declined and they didn't care. Bad way to do business.

+ 0 morevery well. The electrician saw that the florescent bulbs were not secured at the ends, and secured them. The electrician asked if I wanted to replace the florescent bulb fixture with the LED fixture I had purchased from Lowes. The florescent light was fine but having my lights flickering in the past I asked the electrician to replace with my LED fixture. The electrician gave me a choice and did not force me to change my existing light fixture.
Description of Work: I had a flickering florescent light fixture in the restroom that would turn off or was very dim.

+ -1 moreJacob and Maurice came and took out the old attic fan and installed new attic fan with thermostat. They were prompt and even called to come 15 mins early. They were professional men that did a great job. New attic fan and thermostat is installed and working well. Much quieter than the old fan. They worked well and were done quickly, including the trip to purchase the new attic fan.

Description of Work: We had a dining room light that needed to be replaced and the ceiling is 18' high. There was also a very heavy glass top table that needed to be removed. I explained this to Kate who answered the phone. The wonderful service began with her. She quickly contacted one of the service people that would have the correct ladder necessary and also made sure an assistant came to help. Maurice and Jake were on time and wonderful! They gave an estimate before doing any work and were very knowledgeable. We also needed a smoke detector replaced and caps put on exposed wires. We could not have asked for a better team and they even cleaned up before leaving! We would absolutely request this team again and highly recommend both them and Simple Electric. They performed the service within two days of when we called and sent emails to remind me of the appointment with a picture of the technician.

Mike, the tech, showed up when scheduled, walked the house with me to inspect each room, and provided me with a list of recommended repairs/upgrades. He was courteous and knowledgeable, and did not try to sell me anything...just provided me with the inspection results, and an estimate of the costs. I had one item that needed to be fixed right away, so I scheduled that work done for the following Saturday. Again, he arrived right on time, did the work, and gave me an invoice for exactly the amount he estimated. I will schedule the rest of the services as time and finances allow. The cost of services was: Whole House Inspection, through Angie's List = $69 (and worth every cent); Cost of subsequent repair = $95
