By far the best handyman service in the industry. Larry has done a lot of other things for me as well. He is a master craftsman, extremely honest and humble. If he can't do the job he will find you someone who can. The best customer service experience with any contractor in years. HE RESPONDED TO MY QUESTIONS IN A TIMELY MANNER AND SCHEDULED THE REPAIR W/IN A WEEK.. HAD TO DEAL W/ RENTER AND HER SCHEDULE... HE WORKED W/ ME ON SENDING HIM THE PAYMENT VIA BILL PAY AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED AND PICTURES SENT TO ME, SINCE I RESIDE AN HOUR AND HALF AWAY FROM THE PROPERTY. Larry did a fantastic job. He was prompt, professional and did a superb job. The wood was totally rotted and he skillfully removed the old wood taking care not to break or damage our stained glass window. He rebuilt the side light and it now looks better than it ever has. We will definitely hire Larry again the next time we need a handyman. He's our "preferred" choice for sure!

Larry is a true professional. When his prior job took longer than expected, he was quick to call me to let me know that he was running late and gave me a new 'eta.' Since I was home for the afternoon, the later arrival time wasn't an issue. Larry works very efficiently and doesn't leave any mess after he is done with the project. He takes real pride in his work and I could not be happier to have found him. After he was done, we talked about a future project that I have in mind - removing the large builders mirror in the master bath, painting behind the area where the mirror was and installing two framed mirrors - one over each sink. He gave me a great idea to decide what size mirror I should get - genius! Tape up various sizes of poster board on the present mirror to see what feels right. We also discussed swapping out the builders flimsy glass shower door for something more substantial and frame free. Did he say, 'sure I can do that'? Instead he referred me to AZ Shower Doors so that I get exactly what I want. He truly cares about his clients and I'm sure that he has great working relationships with all of them. Larry is a gem.............run, don't walk to your phone to call him. He is trustworthy, skilled and a really nice person.

From the outset, Larry offered the best service I've experienced from a tradesman. Not only did he offer practical solutions, but he sought to make certain I was pleased with the outcome, and even called to ensure my husband was happy with the work as well! Larry has earned the position as our "go-to guy" for all our future handyman needs!

Larry did a great job of aligning and installing all of my kitchen cabinet hardware. He is a skilled, capable, efficient handyman. Cost is also reasonable.

Excellent- this was Larry's second time at our house. He installed some older IKEA cabinets in a few of our bedrooms for extra storage. He prepped walls, leveled and anchored cabinets perfectly; also touched up some blemishes. He is ver knowledgeable and friendly, he knows his stuff. Highly recommend!

The old wooden slats in my side gate were warped, weather-beaten, and very unseemly. One had even fallen out of place. Mr. Goldstein visited my home on Christmas eve, and advised me to replace all the slats with new, composite slats. He advised that this material would last much longer than wood, and would be maintenance free. I bought the new slats, and Mr. Goldstein came back on 12/27 (a Saturday). He removed the old slats, installed the new ones, sawed the old ones into small pieces, and hauled them away. Mr. Goldstein was very friendly, professional, and helpful. He provided me with scheduling options, and was quite prompt. I am very satisfied with his service, and would use him again if I need any more Handyman services.

As always, while he was here most of the day, it went smooth and it was just like another member of the family was working around your home. Larry is considerate, professional and very well mannered. He will leave your home just as clean as he found it.

Excellent craftsmanship. Thorough and creative. Paid attention to cost saving and making sure there was no wastefulness. Very knowledgeable about various wood working and provided viable solutions to issues. Aside from his skill level, Larry is one of the nicest guys in the world to work with. He cares about customers.

It went very well. Larry had suggestions for the kind of wood for the door and how to best run the electrical wiring. He kept saying he did not want to do a job that would not look professional when done. Others we had out to give estimates were showing us how to take short cuts but we are glad we went with Larry's suggestions. We will have him back again.

It could not have gone any better. He is there when he says he is going to be there. His estimate is what it says. If there is a change he let's you know in advance. Larry is just a true professional.

Well, let me start off by saying that Larry is very good for Mr. Fix-it type repairs. He was able to fix a wobbly toilet w/o lifting it, and made a door part fit by manually shaving off some plastic until it fit. He also talked me out of moving a wall switch, because it would take a long time and be expensive. Now, I have used other handymen in the past. I felt that that these were fairly easy repairs. Larry indicated that he could do it all in about an hour and a half. The repair people normally don't talk to me much, other than to say "what's next?" In Larry's case, he was constantly telling me about problems he was having w/installing the new doorbell and thermostat. He incorrectly told me that you had to hold in the doorbell to make it ring two tones (which is what I wanted). He also said that there was a missing part. He then spent some time reading the directions, and realized that he didn't install it correctly. Then, he couldn't get it to ring at the front door. Again, he had to mess with it to get it to work. I went to the hardware store and when I returned, he was still working on the doorbell. But, the worst part was putting in the new thermostat. He had to call someone else to tell him how to hook up the wires on the new one (made me feel a bit nervous). Then, when it came on, it was blowing hot air, so he told me that my air conditioning was not working. I questioned this, as it was just inspected before I moved in, and has been working fine. He got very insistent that there was a problem w/the system, saying it was warm when he got there. I tried to explain to him yes it was warm BECAUSE THE THERMOSTAT IS BROKEN---like talking to a wall. He didn't offer any solution, just kept insisting that I had a problem. Thankfully, I got tied up with a phone call, and he called the same air guy again, and after another long conversation, realized that he had not set it up to run as a heat pump. End result? The air conditioning worked fine! Did he apologize for his mistake? No, he said "we both were a bit defensive" Huh? You bet I will question it when I am told that my air conditioning has just suddenly gone out. By the time he left, (3 1/2 hours later) I was stressed and worn out. To his credit, he did reduce the bill, saying some time was spent "on other things" Yeah, like calling someone else (twice) because you don't know how to do something. I just felt he could have been a bit more professional and admitted that he was wrong about my air conditioner being broken. Next time, maybe he should leave the installation of thermostats to a specialist.

Larry arrived promptly as promised. (how refreshing these days!) He was a true professional explaining everything he was doing to correct the situation (and in plain layman's terms). As he worked, he told us WHY he was taking the next step. He worked tirelessly to come up with a solution and we could not be more pleased. Larry is my first contractor that I have used since signing up for Angie's list. He set the bar VERY high for others that I use in the future. As I told him when him when he left, he is ACES in my book. Put his number on your speed dial.

We were extremely satisfied with the service Larry did and look forward to using him in the future. he was extremely resourceful and did all the work needed on the first visit. He also cleaned up very well after.

Larry did some carpentry work for me before I had sliding shelves installed in my home. When the sliding shelves were being installed,the representative for that business removed the magnetic door closure for one of my kitchen cupboards and then said he was unable to replace it. I called Larry at Preferred Handyman Services and explained what had happened. Larry stopped by the house and replaced the magnetic clasp and did not charge me anything. I was not able to be home when he replaced the clasp so Larry even called me later to be sure everything was completed as I had wanted it. I recommend Larry and Preferred Handyman Services for all your projects for his honesty, integrity, low prices and true value.

This was NOT an easy fix. These doors were solid wood extremely heavy. Larry did not anticipate the difficulty this job presented. However, he worked enthusiastically, diligently, and engeniously. He even adapted one of his tools to complete the job. His price was extremely fair. The door is now as good as new. We are so pleased with his work. We will definitely hire him again!

Larry did an awesome job and explained all aspects to me and went above and beyond. He did a great job and put in more time than he charged me for. I am a customer for life. Larry was very knowledgable, professional, honest and went above and beyond what I asked for and expected. He is a man of integrity, which is very important to me when hiring people to work in my home. I bought a big fancy electric dog door and after looking at it, he could see all the potential problems. Larry suggested a simple doggy door might be a better option even with our tiny dog. Well it sure was, saved me $250 and my chihuahua actually uses it. He also carpeted the bottom and top which was a nice surprise. Larry has also given me several other recommendations that have worked out really well. The experience went very well. Larry is extremely professional and knows what he is doing. His labor quote was in-line with other quotes we received. Larry's quote was one of the few that actually provided estimates for materials so there were no surprises going into the job. He showed up on time for both the estimate and the job and was enjoyable to talk with. His work was very good too. Overall I intend to use Larry again with other projects.

Larry was wonderful. He not only came up with the idea but also additional great detail as to how the minions (strips of wood the length of the cabinet opening attaching to one of the two connecting doors) would fit. He also installed magnetic catches at the top of the doors and adjusted catches on the remaining kitchen doors or replaced them as needed. Larry installed support blocks where needed for the metal catches. My home is an older home and one of the cabinet doors had never been attached properly or even straight. Larry removed the door, adjusted and reattached the door. I found Preferred Handyman on Angie's List and am more than pleased with the quality of the work. I originally called Preferred Handyman to replace a pantry door. Larry took a lot of time discussing it with me and then explaining that I didn't need to replace that door. Larry discussed the work he performed for me above and ensured I had all my questions answered. I'll definitely hire Larry again.
