Excellent, Larry took the time to reinforce the wall with beams that the rack could be firmly attached to rather than the dry wall. I was very impressed with the way he restored the wall, which had large holes. He completely matched the wall color and texture. It is not possible to tell where the wall had been damaged. I definitely plan on using Larry for other projects in the house. I found him to be very honest and he clearly described various was that we could deal with other things around the house.

He found a couple of doors which did not fit well. He fixed them. He was very professional and made sure his work was done up to "his" high standards. I was grateful he was so meticulous. When I need other handy man work I will defiantly call Larry, and I highly recommend him.

As well as we ever expected it would. We had missing parts which were phoned in by Larry to the manufacturer who promptly over-nighted the missing parts. The estimate given was held to the price even though time was delayed. He was extremely fair in every situation.$300

Larry is a true professional! Both the can lights and the electric work required a great deal of time in the Attic, which of course, is very hot. He did great work. I can't say enough. He provided a detailed description of the work to be done. Arrived on time and did a neat meticulous job. He offered many suggestions about work outside of the job for which we hired him with lots of handy tips for us as the home owners. I believe his services are on the expensive side, but for us it is well worth it to know the job will be done right.

Larry is very professional and very helpful. He has lots of experience in figuring out solutions to projects. Larry showed me how to hang some kitchen cabinet doors so that I could save myself some money, without charging me for his time. He did a great job figuring out how to fix my front door frame that was rubbing the front door and also replaced an outdoor electrical outlet that was not working. I will definitely hire him again and I have already recommended him to others.

Larry is a real professional, all work and communication was done very well. This was a difficult project that required him to work in extremely tight positions and overcome many obstacles. I had mold and mildew growing along the caulk which I couldn't get rid of. Plus, the seam had cracked. I thought I was going to have to rip the whole thing out and do mild abatement to the tune of thousands. He came in and told me all I needed was to recaulk. I couldn't believe his honesty. I've already had him back a second time.

Larry kept the agreed upon appointment and gave me a courtesy call to say he was on his way. The track light that I purchased was of a different size. He determined the best way to install and aim the five LED lights on the track for the best lighting in my kitchen. He also spot painted the ceiling to cover the places previously covered by the old lighting. He definitely demonstrated a "can-do" approach to all my request and genuinely cared about the quality of this work. I look forward to hiring him again to complete more of the projects on my to-do list.

Larry is the total package. He is prompt (to the minute), professional and personal and is always in a great mindset. When he ran into a slight issue with installation of the ceiling fan (builder error), he was able to 'Mc Gyver' a quick and excellent fix to make sure that the fan was installed correctly and solidly. 'We had had another handyman for years in the Valley who moved to Colorado. We were sad but finding Larry has been wonderful!! He isn't afraid to refer us to someone elses' expertise (such as replacing a shower door). Larry is a one man operation who takes great pride in his work and makes his customers feel valued each and every time. Put his number on your speed dial - he is a gem! Thanks, again, Larry!

Larry arrived on time and after we reviewed the work to be done he started immediately. He was methodical and worked nonstop until the projects were done, arriving at 9:15 am and leaving at approximately 7:30 pm. He was extremely knowledgeable and knew how to meet the challenges of installations. He and his work are that of a top notch professional. Larry is not only a genius when it comes to his work, he is customer service oriented. From the moment of our first contact he was honest, polite, respectful and focused on my needs. My first contact with Larry was while he was on vacation (not good timing on my part). During our phone conversation, he mentioned he was in Alaska. I apologized for calling him while he was on vacation. He was kind and told me "no worries". He even was willing to talk with me about the project and answer some of my questions. At the end of our conversation, he asked me to e-mail what I needed done and he would review the work and give a me an estimate, when he returned. He promptly followed through on his promise. A day after he told me he was returning from vacation, I received his e-mail and his estimate. I immediately called him and we scheduled the job! I have lived in Arizona for 10 years and this is the most prompt and best service I have received, since my move to Arizona. For the first time since my move to Arizona, I know I have someone that is willing and able to help me with my home projects! Larry is terrific!

It went excellent. The provider made it feel like he was family. He was very kind and worked extremely fast and efficiently. I would definitely call him again. No complaints whatsoever.

Larry is an excellent handyman, professional, and very patient with his clients. I am a new homeowner and my experiences with other handymen haven't been that great. My service from Larry today was wonderful. He arrived on time, talked me through the project, and completed everything as promised. He was super patient answering all the questions I had about various improvements I wanted to have done to my property in the future. During some down time while he waited for the putty to dry on the facia, he caulked in all the cracks that were starting to form around the frame of my entrance door and some large cracks that were in the door panels. He talked me through how I could repair and repaint the rest of the door myself and taught me how to fill in the smaller cracks with patching putty. Larry is very easy to work with and I'm so thankful to have found him. I will definitely use his services again!

I've found some excellent tradesmen at Angie's List over the years, but this gentleman undoubtedly is the star. I'd been putting off a whole list of honey-do's simply because my guys had faded from the scene & I didn't relish the hassle of finding someone new. But when the old closet door threatened to fall off its track and brain one of us, I decided to get off the dime. When Mr. Goldstein came over to see what needed to be done, I presented him with two single-spaced pages of projects required to shore up the house. First, he sorted out the jobs that he does and then referred me to tradesmen who he felt were competent to do the things he doesn't do. Having repaired the dripping faucet gratis, he soon came back with a detailed estimate for supplies and labor, broken out by the individual job. Prices seemed quite reasonable, well within the range of fair for both sides. This allowed me to prioritize the things that needed to be done, starting with the menacing closet doors. Mr. Goldstein purchased the doors for me, hauled them over here, painted them (!), disassembled the old set of doors, and installed the new doors on a newly installed track. They fit perfectly, they look great, and they exactly match the house's original decor. And they're not about to wallop me or the cleaning lady. Meanwhile, some months previously my puppy had chewed the cord off a lamp -- for the second time. Fortunately the lamp was attached to an outlet with a switch, usually turned to "off"...otherwise the world would be short one puppy today. The first time, I took the lamp to Hinckley's, whose fine staff charged over fifty bucks(!) for the twenty-minute task of changing out the cord. That lasted about a week. I asked Mr. Goldstein if he'd be interested in attaching another new cord. He had better things to do with his time, but suggested I take it over to French Electric -- and in fact, called over there and told them I would be bringing it in and they should be nice to me. They fixed it for ten dollars! The next project will be to change out a fancy but aged faucet set in the kitchen, which I hope we will get to very soon...whenever I can find something comparable to replace it. I look forward to working with Preferred Handyman Services in the future and hope Mr. Goldstein stays in the business for a long time.

Larry's work ethic, sense of responsibility, thoroughness, and customer service exceeded my expectations throughout my experience. Upon finding him on Angie's List I asked him for a quote. He scheduled a visit so he could come up with an estimate and was exactly on time, then spent an hour touring my home and discussing all the long assortment of items I needed. During that hour he found my kitchen sink fixture to be unacceptably wobbly and fixed it on the spot at no charge (!). He later emailed me a detailed and thorough quote, with a labor and materials estimate for each task, giving me the option of picking which items to do and when to do them based on my budget and priority. He also explained that if he completed a task in less time than on the estimate, I would only pay for the actual time it took, and even if a task would take longer, I would pay no more than what was on the estimate. That seemed extremely fair to me, and the quote was reasonable given he is licensed and insured. Also, I had really appreciated the time he spent going over my jobs, so I said please do them all and scheduled the work. On our scheduled work day, he spent the initial time reviewing the work to be done to make sure we were on the same page. He had asked me to be home because I had several jobs that would require specification to me (eg grab bars), and that ended up being really good advice. He had already shopped for most of the materials including the toilet, without asking me for a deposit. He spent two days at my home making sure everything was performed to my needs. He worked with me to get the exact location for my grab bars that would be perfect for me, and gave me options for how I wanted other things to look, for example the height and width of the curtain rods, the handle for the exterior wood gate, etc. During the first day I came up with several new projects that I hadn't thought of before (for example I added the replacement of the tub spout, replacement of the showerhead, and replacement of a second toilet, not just the one), and I asked if he could do these adds and he said sure. He made a couple of trips to the hardware store to pick up the new items and to exchange the first toilet he had bought because it arrived cracked (he did not crack it, it arrived that way). I was so impressed by all this! At the end of the second (and final) day of work, he worked until after 7 pm to make sure he finished all my jobs, even though I was the one who had added all the extra. He must have spent more than 20 hours on my jobs, maybe much more given the time shopping/picking up materials and talking on the phone with the toilet manufacturer. Larry's original quote was for about $1,400 including all the work and materials in my first list. If I had stuck just to my first list, I am certain he would have charged me that or less. But of course I had added a bunch. After all my additions, I thought he must be going to have to charge me about $2,000 because of all my multiple adds (including a $300 toilet), but in fact he only charged me $1,800 total in the end. He didn't charge for any of the time he spent shopping, calling the manufacturer for specs on the toilet, etc. He only charged for time working each specific task and materials. I was surprised and ecstatic and felt so happy to have found him. He basically tweaked my 2,000 square foot house to exactly what I need and want for $1,800. How awesome is that? That value I got was superb. His work was perfect and exacting, his treatment of me and my jobs (and my dogs!) was professional, and I would absolutely call him again for anything I need on my home. Do not hesitate to call Larry. I won't.

Larry has truly restored my faith in the Handyman service. I saw his reviews from before, and they are all very true. First off, Larry is very skilled at many different things, which is always a great thing, but secondly, he is an honest person with the utmost integrity. I am not handy at all, so I am at the mercy of contractors regularly around my house when something breaks. I have been through my share of shady people and approach each vendor cautiously and with a bit of skepticism. I know feel like I don't have to worry about anything any more. After seeing all that Larry did for me, I was expecting to see an enormous bill. Nope, his prices are very fair. I added a tip because he did such a great job....my suggestion is that everyone do that. The more we take care of the honest and respectful contractors out there, the longer they stay in business, and eventually the fraudsters will hopefully go away. I will be calling Larry for all of my household fixes going forward...truly a diamond in a rough industry! Thanks Larry!

Larry not only did the projects we had in mind much better than we thought they could be done, but also saved us money since he fixed items/fixtures we thought would have to be replaced instead - - - he also installed new kitchen light fixtures we thought would need a lot of electrial work done which we were dreading due to the cost - - He was very prompt in answering my phone calls & emails - gave us several dates and times in which he could do the jobs - so it was most convenient for us - - - We are so pleased with his work that he's coming back to do another couple of projects for us - - -
