Larry is our new go-to guy. As soon as I called him I could tell he was going to be able to help us accomplish everything on our project wish list. He was punctual, polite, personable, incredibly honest and fair and did a great job. He even tried to teach us how to do some of the work for future maintenance and advised us not to waste money on some other projects. The jobs for this past week were drywall and window sill crack repair. Next week will be pocket door repair and hopefully some small electrical projects. Who knows about after that but I am confident the list will grow and we will be happy with the results.

I was and still am very pleased with Larry's professionalism and consideration of his clients. He listened to what I wanted, came over and scoped out the project, made suggestions that would save me money, time and convenience. If there was something I wanted to do (like cut a door into an exterior wall) and he had doubts, he would bring an expert in to evaluate the need and the cost so I was able to make an educated decision on proceeding or not. He never pressured or upsold me on doing extra things that were unnecessary or costly. I will be replacing my kitchen cabinets and putting in a new counter and sink. Larry suggested I get pricing from a few different places. I was very impressed with the counter place he told me about. I am especially pleased with his pricing for the tear out and install of the kitchen cabinets. Taking everything into consideration, his quote was significantly lower. His workmanship, honesty and attention to detail exceed my expectations. He is very trust worthy. I work and after only a few days of working with him and getting to know him, I gave him a key and felt confident and comfortable that not only were my house and belongings safe, but more importantly my dogs were safe and happy. Larry always has hugs and belly rubs for my kiddos (and even treats). They get so excited when he comes over. I definitely will continue working with Larry. The last comment I would like to make about him is his ethics. Over the years, I have had many individuals and/or companies do work for me. The majority of them had a major thing in common. If something did not work correctly or broke, it was generally pointed out that the problem was due to the previous person that worked on it or I did something to break it or I didn't get the right materials or part. Most people do not take ownership or accept fault and blame everyone and everything else. Larry never once did that. If something didn't work out the way he expected, he kept at till it met my satisfaction and kept the pricing the same or only slightly made an adjustment and best of all he checked with me first to see if I was OK with it. The biggest issue I've encountered is there are times when a job takes him longer then expected and my job gets pushed back. However, I will add that if it is my job that he is working on, I am not quite so bothered. Thanks Larry for everything you have done.

Larry is the embodiment of the handyman profession. He is smart, affable, hard working, a perfectionist and only wants what is best for the job and the customer. He even talked me out of work that he explained I didn't need. He would have done it if I insisted but after his explanation I realized I didn't need to have it done.

He is very positive, very patient, and very professional. He is not only do the work but also make it the best. I love his attitute. He respond the call right the way, and come to do the work on time. He didn't charge too much, but provide the best job. I strongle recommand him to be the first choice golden handyman! Fantastic. Larry keep me appraised of the potential costs and potential roadblocks as they arose, and delivered where promised. He had to wait to finish the caulking until the grout had dried, but I had no problems paying for the job before it was completed, as I had total confidence he would return to complete the task. Also, he worked fast, knowing I had been without the shower and had been frustrated with the lack of response of the previous contractors I had contacted.

The guy was very helpful. But because he was not able to make us a schedule when we needed, he tried really hard to really give us recommendations, and then he called me back to make sure everything went okay. I would recommend him. If I wasn't moving out, I would use him.

He advised on materials, options available and timeliness. There was a delay in part of the tile order and he worked around it for me. The work is so beautiful and I am most pleased.

Larry was prompt in returning my calls, professional, arrived on time and completely cleaned up after his work was done. The quality of his work is excellent. I have more jobs to be done around the house and will definitely will be using Preferred Handyman Services in the near future.

Larry was very prompt and professional and did an excellent job on everything I hired him to do. He ended up spending considerably more time than he initially bid for his first job, but kept to his original bid. I trusted him to do a job for my 88 year old mother when I was not available to be there in person, which indicates the level of trust in his moral character I developed over our short working relationship. I believe Larry will make sure you are fully satisfied with his work . I would highly recommend him.

What a great find. Larry is not only very professional, reasonably priced and his estimates are very detailed and accurate but he is also very amiable. He took time to explain what he was doing and why.

I was looking for a handyman to help with the repair of a broken kitchen cabinet drawer...I found Preferred Handyman through AngiesList and gave them a call. I spoke with Larry (owner) over the phone and since the repair was such a small job, I agreed to bring the drawer to him. Not knowing that this was his day off, he gave me the directions to his home to see what level repair was nessesary. Once I arrived, he expalined in deatil the reasonong for my broken drawer, a couple of long term solutions, and a fix to solve my immediate problem. He took the drawer and within an houtr the work was done. I've had to repair a couple of my existing drawers in the past, but his workmanship was SECOND TO NONE! He took great pride in his work and the details showed! His suggestions for a long term fix to my drawer problems will be the next job I call upon Larry to handle...I'm sure that when he's finished with his work, we will have permenantly solved my drawer problems!

Larry is my go-to guy! Love his work - keeps you updated, extremely reliable, gives great opinions ("this is what I would do if it were my house"), very fair pricing. Will definitely keep working with Larry.

He did a very good job. He took his time, was nice, and is very thorough. He's coming back now to repair some doors. I would recommend him to others and would use him again.

The last experience was great. He is very friendly, easy to work with and does good quality work.

The handyman scheduled and kept an appointment for the same day I called to assess the work and provide an estimate. He was able to get the old, existing AC unit to begin working again, which kept the room cool through the remainder of the day. The following day a clear estimate to remove and replace the AC unit was provided. We scheduled the work and it was completed promptly and professionally. I was pleased to learn that this company is insured and bonded and that proper safety practices are employed.

I explained exactly what the job entailed and made an appointment to have the work done. He did not keep the appointment or even bother to call to cancel or reschedule.

These were just a couple of small jobs that Larry did for me late on the day he and his wife were getting ready to go on vacation. Larry has done many, many jobs for me over the last several years, some small, some very large. He has resurfaced and re-textured most of the walls in my house, remodeled both bathrooms, remodeled my kitchen, rewired electrical where needed, re-plumbed bathrooms, kitchen and laundry as needed. When I've needed services that are not in his areas of expertise, he has been able to recommend other contractors (for example, carpet) that I have been very satisfied using. The dictionary cliche has been overused, but if it were so, Larry's picture would appear in the dictionary next to "jack of all trades." I've had a long history of dissatisfaction with contractors and service "professionals." It was my lucky day when I stumbled upon Larry.
