+ 0 moreThe installation was completed with the total charges coming to $377.00 and neither Home Depot nor Parker would ever give me a breakdown on the additional charges. Admittedly, there might have been some extra work needed to install, but why could I not get a breakdown of what they did. Parker & Son said that Home Depot should provide and Home Depot says we have nothing to do with the final bill. Guess what, the final bill came from THE HOME DEPOT. Went to the HD at 101 & Shea to discuss. The service desk tells me, yah they do charge to much, we are trying to change that. Got the manager, he was very helpful, gave me 3 words, Not our problem. Guess what 2 facilities I will not use for any installation.
Description of Work: Bought a toilet at Home Depot and they arranged for Parker & Sons to perform the installation at the Home Depot quoted price of $199.00 to install. Result $377.00 bill with no breakdown. 4 different occasions Parker said it would be emailed and than sent to me, never happened.

+ -1 moreWe finally got the water valve for the refrigerator replaced after 2 visits. The first time the plumber capped off the valve instead of fixing it. I was told that the shower cartridge to the leaky shower head was not able to be replaced with out removing a water heater and going through the wall. The next day, I called a local plumber and he had the proper replacement cartridge and new shower head on his truck and solved the whole problem at a fraction of the cost and mess that the Parker and Sons technician quoted.

+ -1 moreNot well, quoted a rebuild of toilet and or replacement. $69 service coupon with $25 credit and was quoted $332 to rebuild for running toilet and or replace for $1000.00. Spent less than 2 minutes looking at toilet, did not fix and refused to pay for something that crazt for a seal replacement. Service guy said two parts needed to be replaced, yet he quoted me a rebuild and replacement of everything. Refused service and asked him to leave. Will call last service outfit who fixed a similar situation in guest bathroom for less than $100.00

However the quote that I received when the Tech arrived for replacing two outside faucets was over $410 and that was after the $25 credit! I was old that the $69 service fee was just worked into the pricing. This was ridiculously high of an estimate. I called another licensed plumber and was able to get the work quoted at $139 for both and without any Angieslist discount! I am sorry but I fill the special through Angieslist is a rip off as it appears to me that the company over-prices the service to make up. I have lost the payment I made to Angieslist when purchasing this special. I will think twice next time. And no more Parker and Sons for sure.

Scott did great job from start to finish taking pictures of damage the water caused. I received a call from there risk manager in under 24 hour explaining the process of recovering my damage to my kitchen floor and cabinets. Cris did a great job of explaining the next steps to take being a recalled part from manufacturer. Overall I good experience considering all the factors involved with the damage that was caused
Description of Work: My RO system had a leak. Turns out the manufacturer had a recall on the filter housing that the water lines go into athousing. Recalled product so there was no charge for labor or parts

+ -1 moreThe technician performed the so-called diagnosis and came to conclusions that were proven by subsequent work by another firm to be totally inaccurate. Not only did he tell me that the unit that was not working was completely gone and had to be replaced, but he also said the same thing about my second unit. Imagine my surprise when the firm I contacted for a second opinion was able to get both units running in a couple of hours. That was in mid-July and the units are still working, so the Parker & Sons technician clearly didn't know what he was talking about or wasn't straight with me.
Description of Work: Needed a diagnosis of problems with my two AC units.

+ 0 moreWe never heard from them. I sent a note via Angie's List and Costco claims that they too contacted Parker and Sons. After another day without air conditioning in 110-degrees we called another company who found the problem and fixed it for a service call only.
Description of Work: We called Parker and Sons when we had air conditioning problems. We called them for two reasons: 1. They were the company that COSTCO was working with and 2. They represented Lennox.

+ -1 moreAfter I said I would do it myself, they agreed to do it without the additional charge. James Wilson was very professional and did an excellent job.
Description of Work: Repair condensation line was sagging. Had not been properly installed originally. On inspection in May of this year, no one noticed the sagging. Parker wanted to charge $70.00 for diagnostic. and $200 for one 2 foot plumbers strap, and 1 1/2 feet of 3/4" PVC pipe. We did not feel this was worth it. After the technician called the office the price was reduced.

Description of Work: I had 1 credit for a tune up left on my account, so I decided to get the AC tuned up. I have 2 units, and so I had to pay for the other one, and the evap cooler. The salesman (tech) looked at my units, hosed them off, and cleaned the evap cooler pad off. He told me my refrigerant was low on the west side of my house, even after I told him it was running ice cold. He continued his sales pitch and how it would damage the unit if low, and quoted me about 300-500 for the refrigerant. 3-4 months go by and I notice a leak in the master bathroom. I go up to see where it is coming from, and the 2nd drain pan has a leak. I called another company to check it out, and perform repairs. The Tech told me the top line was likely backed up, and that was causing the issue. I told him about the previous tech and he said he must not have blown the drain line out, as it probably didn't back up in such little time. After that he checked the refrigerant level, and informed me that the levels were normal. A Manager from Parker and Sons called me after I complained about his tech, and basically told me, cars can run fine 2 quarts low. Haha yeah, and they fill up to normal levels if you keep using it!!!!!! If they encourage those kind of practices, I can only imagine what else they are ripping people off for. Avoid this company.
