I requested info through Angie's List via email. I received a phone call within 15 minutes. Since I had a plumbing and a/c issue, they worked to set them up so both would show up at the same time, very convenient. The technicians were excellent, very professional. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Two vanity sinks had little hot water pressure, diagnosed as improperly installed valve on water tank (and I lived with it for 3 years). Also, Realtor recommended a freon recharge after recent home inspection. Technician stated we only needed to change the air return filter, saved a load of cash. Great service, great response.

This is the hardest working, and most effective, Realtor you will ever find! She does her homework. She deals with ALL aspects of getting ready and selling. She works very hard, always going the extra mile, and dealing expertly with any and everything that comes up. She keeps the client in the loop and in control. She is ethical, does whatever it takes, and always puts her clients first. Oh, and she is also pleasant to deal with. If you have ever wondered how a Realtor could possibly be worth the commission, Elina Lee will show you how. I can't recommend her highly enough!
Description of Work: She gave remodeling suggestion's, beautifully staged, advertised, and sold our house in Cupertino for over $1.5 M. She introduced us to a great, contractor and worked with him and us to get the most bang for the buck, and to stay on a very tight schedule to get our house to market ASAP. She was great in the offer/negotiation phase!

The plumber that came out was very friendly and knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time understanding what my requests were and explained how the job would be done and how long it would take. After getting all the information from me of what I needed done he worked out the estimate. Everything up to this point had been great and I had high hopes that the estimate would be reasonable and I could hire this guy to do the work. The estimate came to over $2,700. ($2,000 for the tub alone). The cost for the sink and shower were competitive and fair. After getting three more estimates from other 'A' rated Angie's List plumbers, I found that Parker & Sons was $800 to $1,300 more than the other quotes. I really liked dealing with Parker & Sons and I think they would do a great job but their price for the tub work was just too over the top.
Description of Work: This was for an ESTIMATE ONLY. The appointment was made by phone for the same day which was a plus for me. The person on the other end of the line was very pleasant. I had heard great things about this company on a local radio station and was anxious to get their quote. I needed an estimate for installing a soaker tub to include moving the drain a few inches as well as moving the faucet from the wall to the deck. I also needed to have the sink faucet plumbing moved about two feet which required either running the plumbing through the backs of the cabinets or breaking out a path in the cinder block behind the cabinets. And the last item was to have a new shower system (shower head, hand shower, three body jets, & mixer valve) installed.

I called them last August when my AC unit was just running and was not cooling the house. I called and they came right over. The technician said that the relay on the control unit in the attic had water leaking on it and had blown. He also said that the air handling duct in the attic was the wrong size and to prevent another leak, that I should get that replaced also. I paid for the relay that day, and a few weeks later, they replaced a air handler duct. I paid for the new duct also. A few weeks later, I heard a pinging noise in one of the bedrooms and I found water stains on a ceiling corner. Right under the area where all the work had been done. They came and said that no glue had been used on the fittings and the water was leaking from all the brand new fittings. They fixed and said they would be calling about the damage to my ceiling and wall. I'm still waiting for a call back. 3 months later, I had to get my AC recharged. Apparently, my first $1200+ didn't include a freon check.
Description of Work: Replaced a damaged relay in the AC unit in attic. Installed new air handler duct.

I procrastinated way too long to take care of what was no longer a small leak, so the faucet was covered in mineral deposits and beyond my DIY capabilities. Parker & Sons was highly recommended on another Web site, so I gave them a call about 3:30 pm expecting to schedule an appointment on a future date. Within minutes, I got a call back saying someone could be there that afternoon. I had not requested emergency service, and they confirmed that there would be no extra charge for it. Brian Brooks arrived at 4:00 pm and quickly provided an estimate of $310 less a 10% discount for scheduling through their Web site. I agreed to the price, and by 5:30 pm, Brian had the job done & the area cleaned up. I did not get other estimates, but their quick response & apparent workmanship (with 1-yr guarantee) leave me with absolutely no regrets.

From the time I called Parker and Sons for an initial estimate, to the time the crew had completed the install, every aspect went smoothly and was handled professionally. I could tell that customer service was a main priority for the company and all their employees.

Jake Haney, who did the plumbing work did a great job. He was fast and courteous. I would 100% recommend this company to my friends and neighbors. He honored the Angie's List Coupon, no questions asked. Also, the office called the next day, SUNDAY to see if we were satisfied with the job. Why isn't the customer service like this at more companies in the Valley?
Description of Work: My husband removed our faulty garbage disposal and couldn't install the new one. We were left with a hole in our sink and unable to use the water. I called Parker & Sons late on a Saturday and was able to get a plumber to come out and install our new disposal. I was thrilled. The old disposal had been installed improperly, so we had to have the hoses "re-routed." Jake Haney did a great job, and was extremely friendly and professional.

The company gave me a 4 hour window for the service person's arrival, and of course he arrived about 20 minutes before that 4 hour window was to expire, which always irritates me. But he was nice and very amicable to fixing all the problems we had surrounding the toilet in our master bath. I thought the price was reasonable for the amount of work completed.
Description of Work: I thought I had a leak in the wall behind the toilet, but it turned out to be a small leak in the tank. The service person fixed the leak and also completed some other repairs at my request. He replaced the valve that supplied water from pipes in the wall to the tank because the valve no longer turned off, and he utilized a kit I had bought to replace all the parts in the tank, as I had been putting that off for months due to a bad back.

The plumber arrived promptly at 8:30 am and surveyed the work to be done. He started with the most difficult task (replacing the tub and shower faucet). He had to cut a hole in the drywall to install the shower control. He only cut a 1'x 1' square and when he was done he carefully put it back in place. He also had a reference for a drywall person to do the texturing and painting repair. I had also scheduled a carpet cleaning company for later that afternoon so the plumber did the shutoff valve next so the carpet company would have the water back on when they arrived. After the shutoff value he worked on the two new sinks and the widespread faucets. He then took a short break for a late lunch. The carpet cleaners showed up just as he left for lunch and were still working when he got back. He was nice enough to wear booties on his shoes so he wouldn't mess up the clean carpet. He finished up by installing the single hole faucet and then double-checked all his work.
Description of Work: I needed a new toilet, two sinks, two sets of widespread sink faucets, one single hole faucet, and tub and shower faucet installed, and the shutoff valve outside the house replaced.

The repair person arrived very promptly, within 20 minutes of the start of the four hour window. He at first seemed unsure about what to do with the evaporator coolers leak but eventually figured it out. Both units are less than five years old, the cooler only two years old, yet he found it needed a new float. OK, things deteriorate quickly in the Arizona heat. All the work was completed in a timely manner, the cooler no longer leaks and the heat works great. The service person they sent was exceedingly polite, a very nice young man who put little slippers over his shoes every time he came into the house. I appreciated that. Recommended highly.
Description of Work: I called them to winterize my AC/Heating unit, and also to repair a leak in our evaporative cooler. They ended up replacing a number of parts in the evaporator and also replaced the valve to turn off the water to the cooler.

Jason phoned to let me know when he would be at my home. He arrived on time, was polite and able to find the source of my plumbing problem within a short time. It was something I could handle myself so I was charged a diagnostic charge of $59.95. There was a $20 coupon in the July issue of Angie's List so my total out of pocket cost was $39.95. I actually felt the cost was a bit high for a 15-minute service, but had no other concerns.
Description of Work: I had a leak in my master bathroom toilet. I did not know where the leak was coming from and needed a plumber. The price was the highest of the companies I checked but I've used this Co in the past for some plumbing jobs and I was impressed with their customer service policy (Something I find that many companies totally ignore today) The salesman, Jim Milbourn was also a service tech and had the expertise to answer all my questions and to come back to my home and evaluate the initial installation. Although the initial install was problematic, they did come out and correct it in a timely manner. All of the employees I dealt with were professional and courteous.
Description of Work: A/C went out on 6/18/06 (Happy father's day). Called Parker & Sons & they came out on 6/19 to check unit. Technician said repair would cost approx. $1000-$1200. Since a/c was 9 yrs. old, I asked to have someone come out to give me a quote on a replacement unit. Salesman came out the next day and I was quoted a price of $4400 for an equivalent 13 seer ac with a 10 yr. parts and labor warranty. I checked this price with 3 other companies and found it was higher than the others but, the others didn't include the warranty. They scheduled the installation for the next fri and arrived as scheduled and installed the ac. Had a problem with the install(The duct looked like it was held together with mastic). Called the salesman to come and check it. He came out and said it ''Didn't meet Parker & Sons standards'' & they came back today, 7/11, and took the unit off & replaced the duct.

The plumber was on time & polite. He offered alternatives, ones that I don't think would have good resale value, like rerouting pipe-exposed in the garage & connect up to the water heater for $1900; for $2000, route the line into the garage, then up into the attic, then connect to the water heater. I only had one estimate. I do not know if this is reasonably priced. I do not know if the copper piping requires wrapping. Phx has alkaline soil that may aggressively attack copper. I do not know if the options are to the City Code. I did call Blue Stakes PRIOR to having anyone come out for estimates. This is the LAW. You will be financially responsible if you have not had your piping, electric, cable, gas, water, and sewer lines properly marked before having work done. This takes 2 business days to complete. This was not the address for the Parker & Sons I contacted, but they are Phoenix Metro wide. They are in good standing with the Registrar of Contractors,BBB,& ToFixIt
Description of Work: On June 8, 2006, the estimate, which was free when providing the coupon you can get from their website, was a $59 value. The estimate for the project would require 10 - 12 hours of work - $3000. I was going to have them replace my main water pipe from my house to the Phoenix City meter. I currently have 40 PVC piping. I was going to have them install 100 feet of copper 3/4'' piping, and they would have to bore under my driveway 20 feet. It turns out that my drip line was the culprit. Thank heavens!
