according to scheule, installers had one problem with Installers had one problem with the WI/FI thermostadt and it took them over 12 hours to complete job, but they found problem with wiring (it was old), and they worked until problem was solved, even when it took several hours more than usual. Good Job.

The first craftsman they provided did not do a very good job and was unreliable relative to returning and correcting the problems. The Handyman Connection administrative team was very responsive and helpful in standing behind their employee's work. They promptly sent out Wiley, an excellent craftsman, who finished the job in a professional manner. I was very impressed with their commitment to quality and standing behind their services.$350

Job was completed professionally, but I purchased their service and waited for a scheduling confirmation call, but that never happened. After a couple of weeks I had to ping them, and we were able to connect........and their "add" in Angie's was a bit misleading, as it was for money off, not for the cost of the project. So the bottom line, yes the job was completed well, but compared to other Angie's adds, these guys were about 2X the going rate. They can get the job done, but they won't be cheap.

I have been a loyal customer of P&S for several years. However, over the past year, I've seen some changes which are quickly eroding my loyalty. For one, the techs have become very pushy, always, always trying to convince you to buy more "stuff" like expensive air scrubbers and costly surge protectors. Having spoken with neighbors and colleagues, I found out that other people are having the same experience with P&S, even those who recently purchased a brand new AC unit. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was when two techs, at my house for routine HVAC preventative maintenance checks 7-8 months apart, showed me two completely sets of pictures of my attic, the first stating I desperately needed an air scrubber due to some "growth" in my attic. He showed me pictures he took with his cell phone in the attic, reinforcing the immediacy of the need for me to purchase an air scrubber (which costed well over $1,000). I was skeptical of the pictures. I didn't say anything at the time but I was quite sure this was not MY attic. I asked for copies of the pictures so I could "think about it", which he subsequently sent me via his phone. I am attaching two of the seven pictures the tech gave me of "my" attic. Because I didn't have the time to pursue this case nor did I feel like calling P&S only for them to defend the tech, I waited until my next maintenance appointment, which was recently, and asked the second tech to take pictures of my attic (without an explanation), this time with MY cell phone. He was more than happy to do so -- and when he left the house, interestingly, an air scrubber was not on his list of recommended purchases. As I expected, two different attics. And no "growth" in mine. I can only wonder how many people have been convinced to purchase a product they didn't really need? The experience I describe above has put a big dent in P&S's reputation for me. I cringe when I see their commercials touting their high standards in customer server. I have completely lost confidence that any commission-based tech is able to do what's best for me as a customer let alone to tell the truth. Because I rely on Angie's List to make home improvement decisions, I felt compelled to share my experience with subscribers. As with everything else, buyer beware.

Technician was knowledgeable about different systems: water softener, whole-house filtration, and reverse-osmosis filtration. We decided to investigate other filtration manufacturers but would definitely consider Parker and Sons.

Work was done quickly and professionally. Minor installation problems were addressed at once. The only thing that bugged me a bit was that when we were initially signing the papers for the work, their salesman wanted to talk politics, which is not a topic you really want to bring up in a business transaction these days. However, the work itself was top notch.

Excellent professional job done on an emergency leak late on a Friday afternoon.

Before he did that, he wanted to make sure that the drains where working okay and the little shut off valves for the various sinks, the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink, make sure those valves where operating properly. He found one that all of a sudden broke and water went spraying everywhere. He not only replaced that one but he replaced all the other valves in the house that where associated with the sinks or the toilets. So now I din't have to worry about those breaking. Then he went to flush the water heater and found that the interior of the water heater had corroded so we had to replace the water heater. Here is what I am grateful for; this work was discovered under a routine maintenance function and what I was able to do is have the repairs made before it turned into an emergency. So let's say, if that valve had busted in the middle of the night, I would have water all over the house or the water heater would have stopped working in the middle of a shower or something or doing laundry or anything. But we were able to avoid an emergency by making the repairs when the problem were discovered. I would have rather of learned of the problem before it became an emergency than learn about it afterwards. The price was fair, it was within the price range I have paid for they kind of repair in the past. I was satisfied with the price, it was fair. The technician that came out, I was supposed to be his last customer because after he was finished with me he was headed toward Colorado for some time off. However he stayed here the whole day making all those repairs and he did it in a very professional way. When he finished with me he just happened to have a late start for Colorado but that didn't matter to him, he stayed with me until that job was finished.

It's a service they provide twice a year. I have a maintenance agreement with them. It's probable around $150.00 for the service agreement. Anytime I've had a unit breakdown, they are to me on the same day. No other company has ever done that to me before, were they have responded so quickly. If you are sitting in Phoenix Arizona in July and your A/C unit goes out and the company says " Well we can't get to you until tomorrow morning.". So you have to sleep through the night with no air conditioning, it's not very pleasant. When I found Parker, they assured me that they would respond very quickly. On two occasions were I have had a breakdown, they responded on the same day. To me that's just service beyond expectations. That's why I have stayed with them is because of their response when I've had a need.

I could not ask for a better person to come into my home. He was very polite, efficient and no plumbers crack. I had a 5ft.x 6ft. opening in the wall so the plumber had easy access to the pipe needing repair. I was quoted a price and I responded "you're kidding". He wasn't kidding, but he did lower the price about 10%. I agreed and he did the job. The time from the door bell ringing till saying goodbye was about 30 minutes

Badly, I explained the problem to the dispatcher and asked to send someone out to unclog my toilet with my plunger--that was all I wanted.

They're very courteous and they're very good explaining everything.

He talked us out of installing a Tankless Water Heater, and did ask that we do some research as we had always wanted to go this route. I felt that Parker and Sons is like the Precision Garage Door of Plumbing. They do decent work but charge an unreasonable cost and then attempt to show you why their service and costs are warranted. My God....it is a water heater, not a Faberge Egg. Turn off gas, turn off water, replace old system with new system, turn on, test. Based on the price, I think the Ruud systems they use ($700 at Home Depot) must contain gold or some exotic mysyerious functionality not known to the common man, because installation was another $1200. Yes, One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars. After I politely threw up in my mouth, I shook hands and (we both knew this was a lie) would call before Friday. Very professional and prompt service. It is sort of like dealing with the used car salesmen of the plumbing world.

I have a maintenance program with them. There was no charge because it was a prepay 3 year program. I think I paid for 2 years which was $200 and the third year was for free. They come out twice a year. They are always on time. I don't always get the same service person. They usually call ahead of time, usually a half hour or so away and let me know they are coming. They knock on the door and tell me what they are going to do. Then they do their service work. If I have any questions or if I want them to do something, like maybe put a furnace filter in, they'll do that for me if I have already purchased them. Then they will give me a report of everything they checked and what condition it's in. I can't compare the price because we haven't had anyone else come. They are probably as fair as anybody else for price.

One of the service men told us that we should have something to alert us if it goes out. It monitors if it works or not. He put some kind of sensor on it. And a surge protector too. They always call ahead of time. They come on time. They always knock on the door and introduce themselves. They give me a written report that they go over with me. Then they ask if there is anything else I need done. They are polite and courteous. The one service person recommended putting that sensor on and no one else had mentioned it. I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. I have never had an issue with anyone. They explained everything. I have asked questions and they showed me. Sometimes they wrapped our pipes with some kind of aluminum to keep the rats from chewing through the pipes. I trust them.

Outstanding. There was an RO under the sink, that complicated the install, but it was handled with no problems.

Called about a leak I had somewhere between home and water meter; when the guy showed up he spent about 1 min looking over it and quoted me $3800 to dig from meter to main valve to shut off water at the house; he didn't show any interest in doing much- after he got in his van to leave, he was on the phone or something and I dug down right by the water meter and found the small leak; he got out of his van and quickly quoted me $910 and again didn't really care about much- got the job done for 1/3 of the price with some great plumbers

We've used them probably for 10 years and they're pretty consistent. From time to time you can know what to expect from them It's better than average, so that's what has gotten me to stay with them.

They're very good. I had to go above and beyond what I originally called them out for. It took them a couple of hours for the work to be completed. The worker was friendly and courteous. He was professional and polite. He was very communicative. He did a nice job in explaining everything.

The service was amazing. fast, punctual, and professional. the installer was polite and very pleasant.

Their price is average. I probably would not use Parker & Sons again because I found somebody that I like better. Not because Parker & Sons was horrible, it's because in the service, you really want to get the person that best suits you.

They just redid it, it needs to be redone every year or two.

It has always been excellent. They have prompt service. They are honest about what work they're doing.

Nice person on the phone when I called and got a repair person out the same day. plumber said after looking around that it would be pricey, to fix. $732. He cleaned out values and took out old filter. He also said that I needed the gas tankless hot water heater flushed too,because of very low water pressure. It was working fine before this problem. I thought things would be better, but by the end day the pressure in hot water was worse, so I called again, and they came out next day. The plumber flushed out the tankless hot water tank of black charcoal(I'm pretty sure he didn't do that the previous day). repair man did a lot of talking about things that were not about the job at hand.

It was fine. To my knowledge, they were satisfactory, she never said they weren't, and I've seen the completed work and it's fine. They were there when they were supposed to be and on time. I would say they were satisfactory, very efficient, on time and professional. The workers were fine, professional and cooperative.
