He did arrive close to the promised window and introduced himself. However, after assessing the situation, he said he would need a second person with him as he needed to lower the microwave to access the screws. He quoted me $200 for labor, plus parts. He was there 10 minutes and the service charge was $75. Although he might be good at his job, I felt the labor for what would probably take 30 minutes or more, was steep.

"Roger" was great, an honest appliance repairman! When the light of the hood went out, I bought two replacements but neither of them worked. Thinking that the ballast or starter needed to be replaced (but not being able to find them), and given that the fan portion still worked, I called North Valley Appliance Services. Roget arrived at the time he'd said he would. He spent a long time taking the hood apart and trying to diagnose the issue. He narrowed it down to two possibilities, each costing about $250. Since I would have had to buy both parts, it made a lot more sense to replace the range hood instead. What I appreciated most was that Roger took his time to thoroughly investigate, explained what he thought and why and gave me options to consider. Because he couldn't definitively tell me what needed to be done and because he wasn't able to really do anything to fix the appliance, Roger didn't charge me anything! His integrity and professionalism will guarantee that I call on his company the next time I need an appliance repaired.

I originally called North Valley on a Sat and Roger returned my call and scheduled an appt on Monday. I told him my fridge was not cooling down and we set an appt with an hour window and he showed up right at the beginning of the hour. He explained to me exactly what was wrong and what he needed to do to repair it. He was probably at my home between the two appointments 2 hours. He had to order a part and said the part would be in on Thurs, gave me a one hour window and again he arrived right on time, put the new part in, installed the water filter I had previously ordered. This is a one man company and I would highly recommend him for your appliance repairs.

Great honest assessment of the situation

He was good. The cost was reasonable. He knew what he was doing and he fixed it right away. He was very nice and polite. He was pretty honest. I would use them if needed.

Roger is highly knowledgable and very competent. I appreciate his thorough analysis and diagnosis. Our refrigerator just stopped working. Roger fit us in following another customer in our area, the same day as we called. 'A+" rating for his professionalism and quick repair. We recommend.

They were prompt, but the one of the problems that we had was he said that they were going to part on Saturday of 4th of July weekend and they couldn't get the part faster. I ended up waiting like two weeks to get the part to California, so it was like I was without a dish washer for two weeks which I really wasn't happy about. He was professional.

Nice guy. He diagnosed the problem over the phone and came prepared with the part to replace it. Very fast and pleasant service. I would call him back if I needed further repairs.

On time, checked for other causes before replacing ice-maker; reasonable cost (based on estimates found on the internet).

He was great to squeeze me in during such a busy time as Christmas weekend and he offered solutions prior to try that might fix it easily. I would definately use him again for any appliance repair.

They installed the part in no time. The oven is 15 years old but an excellent condition. The repair was a bit pricey but cheaper than a new oven.

Roger did a great job and we were very pleased. He also helped answer questions on other appliances. I would definitely hire him again if needed.

The job went exactly as expected and the cost came in under the estimate. I've used Roger's services a number of times in the past and I've always found him to be very professional. Roger was on time, very professional and a heck of a nice guy. We just put in new floors so was very conscientious to the surroundings. He also offer suggestions for putting in water leak monitors on the fridge and sink and other water prone areas to protect the new floors and said they could be reasonably purchased at ACE or similar. Will definitely call Roger again if needed.

I called North Valley Appliance Service on a Saturday afternoon so that I could get a service appointment set up soon & left a brief voice mail. Roger very promptly returned my call. During our phone conversation, I explained what the problem was with the machine. Roger immediately had an idea that he suggested I try on the machine by myself, to see if resolved the malfunction. He very kindly gave me detailed instructions on exactly what to do & we set up an appointment as well. To my amazement, this simple remedy Roger suggested over the phone WORKED & I am so thankful to Roger that our washer now performs like it should! I had to call and cancel the appointment we had set up; as I no longer needed to have him come out to service the machine. In the future, should we ever need service on any of our other appliances; I know without a doubt that Roger will be the only one I will ever have to call! Not only is he a genius; but he was so kind & so professional. Thank you so very much, Roger!

Roger did an excellent job and got the fridge up and running by recharging the freon system. Excellent job and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend and I certain will use him again whenever I need any large appliance service.

The quote we got over the phone was 20% higher than we paid. We felt he was very honest and professional. He was realistic about what to expect and went above and beyond service wise. He was very careful with surrounding walls and cleaned up after. We would highly recommend.

I have a built-in Kitchen Aid refrigerator that stopped cooling. I hired ?Company A? to troubleshoot/fix it; but with no success. They were guessing at the problem. I abandoned those efforts and called Roger at North Valley Appliance Repair. The refrigerator?s problem was not what it appeared to be a first. However, Roger?s persistence and expertise targeted the problem, a leak in the Freon coils. With that identified,a fix was made. He has also repaired my Thermador gas cooktop, when one of the burners would no longer ignite. I appreciate Roger?s expertise and affordable pricing. I am happy to recommend his company to others and I will definitely use him in the future when needed.

The first visit was on time and quick. They needed to order a part and we scheduled a follow up visit. They forgot about the follow up visit and rescheduled. The repair itself (once they arrived) was fast. I received a call today stating they were running late for their appt. they called the wrong number. Perhaps this is too small a company for all the work they seem to have.

Roger was responsive, punctual, courteous and fairly priced. I had been speaking with a non Angie's provider who gave me the run around and a repair estimate for over twice as much. I highly recommend North Valley Appliance!

Roger was actually early! He was professional, had the parts needed based on the description of the issue I provided, and fixed our refrigerator within a half hour. We also received a 10% discount on the labor, saving us a few bucks on the call.
