I found Mechanical Brothers Heating and Cooling through the Home Advisors app and used 'book an appointment' on the app to secure an appointment for a few days out. Super convenient feature of the app but then they contacted by phone to let me know they could come today, within the hour, which is even better. Service was quick and inexpensive and now the air conditioning is working great. Highly recommend and will use them again.

The tech who responded to the trouble call was very polite and seemed knowledgeable and did a thorough job troubleshooting the unit. He said my compressor motor was overhearing and locking up and that my a/c was just old not not doing the job, so I purchased a whole new day and night system from them. The day of the install, everything appeared to be going smoothly until the lead tech left my place with my personal tools (without my permission)and the remaining 2 techs sat in my garage for about an hour doing nothing. When the lead tech came back he told me he could not complete the job that he had another job to get to. After I called the office the person I spoke to (who was not very polite) made the techs stay and finish the job. They did a poor job with clean up and they did not smooth out the insulation in the attic that they moved out of the way to work. After 2 days the a/c was running all the time and not cooling the house. I called and spoke to the same impolite person who said it was my house and not the a/c but dispatched a tech anyway, (who showed up in a timely manner). The Tech stated the coolant level was low and filled it to the correct level. At this time the a/c is working o k. Also they stated I would get a day and night a/c system and a ICP was installed. I was told since it was all owned by Carrier, it was the same thing. I'm still researching that.

My a/c quit working on one of the first 120 degree days in Peoria. The company was quite busy that day but they were able to provide service same day. The technician listened to my description of the problem. He identified the defective part, replaced it from stock in his truck and the a/c unit turned on again. He then checked a few other things and recommended another switch be replaced. Highly recommended.

i agree with some other reviews that during peak season, most a/c companies are not available same day. however, this company was available same day & i really appreciate that for a $50 maintenance charge (a/c checkup). but my only disappointment was i feel i was over charged when i had a dual capacitor replaced. the usual cost for this part is around $45-$50 & since the unit was already open i thought another $50 for installation was acceptable. i could not believe the a/c tech charged me $185, not including the $50 service charge for a total cost over $200. "i may use this company again in the future for service only, but not sure if i will ask them to replace parts, unless it is absolutely necessary"!!

Has the feel of a family business. All the companies whom I've dealt with in Ahwatukee in the last 20 years have been dishonest. Last two companies both said I needed a new unit. Mechanical Brothers recommenced upgrading a motor that was deteriorating. Probably first time any real 12 point tests were run. Joe left me felling I wasn't taken to the cleaners, haven't felt like that in a long time.... Thanks.

I had called another company who we usually deal with. They could not send anyone for 2 days. I understand this is their busy season, but they are a huge company, and we've been long time customers. No longer, though. Mechanical Brothers sent someone out in less than 2 hours and completed the replacement of parts needed right away. They will be our "go-to" company for A/C service from now on.

On the hottest day of the year so far (119 degrees) they came out and installed a new A/C and gas furnace heat system. Fast response and the installed items looked perfect. They didn't try to sell me anything extra. They explained the warranty and how to use it if needed in the future.

The company contacted me immediately and did everything they could to get someone out immediately, which was great with the high temperatures in Phoenix lately. The technician Sammy was the best! He came immediately; diagnosed the problem; found out where a part was to fix it; went and got it and fixed it. He was a hard worker, explained everything so I could understand it and was a very nice person. I would recommend this company and Sammy to everyone.

Our A/C went out last night. I contacted Mechanical Brothers through the Home Advisor direct connect feature. I spoke to someone right away. I was told that someone will be here between 6 am and 8 am, the following day. Sammy was here at 6:15. A/c fixed for $215. Thank you for your honesty--

I was extremely impressed with the service I received from the Mechanical Brothers technician, both in scheduling the service call and his professionalism, knowledge, honesty and customer service interaction while at my home. Sammy Sayegh explained to me important aspects of my system, DIY steps I could perform to extend the life of my system and make it more efficient, and EPA-mandated changes that would eventually impact my unit's continued serviceability. I was pleasantly surprised that I was not pressured in the least to enroll in any kind of maintenance program or purchase any additional services. I plan to request Mechanical Brothers (and Sammy specifically) to perform my winter heating unit inspection when it's due. This was a truly enjoyable experience dealing with a home repair technician; unlike any before. Great Job!

Very quick diagnosis, quick fix, and descent price.

Tech was terrific. He called to see if he could come earlier (than 8 am the next day), and when he found out I had been without a/c for the weekend, he added me to his workload for that day. He came over and quickly resolved the issue with a satisfactory price point. I would definitely re-use again He also called the next day to make sure that everything was working ok.
