About us

Maid Brigade is a national-renowned residential cleaning company. Our Phoenix office is locally owned and operated and has served the Valley for over 20 years! We utilize a cleaning system that uses products and equipment that are safe for you, your family, your pets and the environment. We offer regular, ongoing cleaning services as well as one-time services including move-ins and move-outs. Our cleaners are e-verified (required for ALL employers in Arizona), background-checked, bonded and insured for your protection. We pay all employment taxes and workers compensation insurance for our employees. The teams drive company-owned vehicles and arrive at your home or office in uniform, with all necessary supplies, ready to work! We were the first cleaning company to "go green" and we use several products created using only electrolyzed water. We serve the greater Phoenix area including Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Cave Creek, Carefree, Anthem, Fountain Hills, Glendale, Peoria, and Surprise.

Description of Work: I like Maide Brigade and have used this company on-and-off in various states. They are reasonably consistent in their services and always leave a feedback card. The only issues I have is that their prices are definitely on the higher end and I wish there were more consistency in the teams. However, I like using a company vs an individual cleaning service because they always have a backup team available.

Overall, the girls are nice and other than the trainees, do a good job. But dealing with the office as far as scheduling and flexibility is an abomination. There is a tendency for them to set a reasonable base fee, then nickel-and-dime you. The management's behavior towards the customers and the employees is very unprofessional. The new trainees are very green and need to be taught even the simplest, most obvious things, such as the need to lift things and clean under them. As soon as they develop any skills, they are moved along and another brand new trainee replaces them. They claim to provide all products and that they are "green" and they are included in the price. One time they arrived and said that they ran out of their basic cleaning soap and were sent out without it, and had to ask if they could use ours. We could go on but this gives you an idea.
Description of Work: Maid Brigade is a housecleaning service. The girls who perform the actual cleaning were for the most part very nice and professional. However, they usually send one experienced worker, one with medium experience, and one with no experience. The new person costs the others time, and if your time runs over, you get charged for overtime, even though it's the company's fault. So the trainee is being taught on your time, and often has to do things over. The larger problem is the management, especially Michelle. She is noncommunicative and rude, and she is very abrupt and very unaccomodating. Since she is responsible for the scheduling, this makes the whole relationship unpleasant, even though the housekeepers are quite nice. Some of the girls have quit due to having to deal with the management, who are apparently as nasty to the employees as they are the customers. The managers are always figuring out ways to make an extra dollar off of you, for instance, promising an extra 1/2 hour, for which you pay, then harassing the girls by phone to finish after only 15 minutes have elapsed. They ask for your credit card to keep on file, then charge more than the agreed price without notifiying you, which you discover retrospectively when reviewing your bill. The girls are called constanty on their cell phones and are prompted to hurry, hurry, hurry, that they are distracted and leave things undone. Then the office calls the customer and says that you need to pay for overtime.

They didn't show up in a consistent time frame, which was a problem. They came on a day I didn't want them to come. One day they showed up right as I was leaving for work. I wasn't happy with the fact that they didn't come at a set time. It seemed that they had a different crew configuration each time. The house wasn't clean. They did not meet my expectations.

The cleaning crew would be 3 people for the first visit, each additional visit would have 2 for cleaning. One time we moved a set of furniture so the area was cleaned since they state they will not move furniture. One time they showed up with no phone call alerting us they would be there. If I did have something delicate that needed to be moved for cleaning, I would put those items away so I did not need to worry about breakage.

I was really upset to learn that there was an incident and damage to a wall and that I was not notified. Jerry was away on personal matters, but his voicemail did not indicate this. I was also promised a refund of $60 a month ago. It has not been credited to my credit card and I left Jerry a message and had to dispute the charge with my credit card because he has not issued it nor called back. His lack of response is considered poor business. I would not recommend them unless you want to hire ''speed cleaners'', meaning they rush in and rush out.
Description of Work: They cleaned my house twice. They missed a few things on the first visit and many things on the second visit. They also did damage to a wall because they apparently tried to clean a large and heavy wall-hanging. They never notified me of any incident. I was not happy that they did not clean a lot of things on the 2nd visit, but when I called Jerry, he also did not return my call for a week as he was out of town for a personal matter, but his voicemail did not indicate so.

I really like the service provided from Maid Brigade, and highly recommend them to anyone in the Valley. They're always on time, cheerful and go about their work as per schedule. Initially I did have some problems, and found their work not up to my expectations. But after speaking to their Office Manager, who is an extremely polite lady, I now have 3 ladies come in who know exactly what to do. And before they leave I do a "once-over" and if they've missed something, they are happy to redo. Sometimes I find it difficult to communicate with them, because they speak Spanish and broken English. But I later call their Office Manager who ensures the team hears of my concerns. I have also of course called their office often to commend their work! After a couple of lousy experiences, I have to say BRAVO to this company, and the team that cleans my home. They are quite wonderful. I love 'em; A great team!
Description of Work: The team dusts, vacuums, mops all rooms. Also empties dustbins and re-lines with new dust bags. Cleans ceiling fans and dusts window blinds.

THEY CAME ON TIME WITH A TEAM OF WORKERS. THEY PROVIDED A CHECKLIST OF WHAT THEY WOULD BE DOING AND LEFT IT WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED. THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT, BUT IT SEEMED VERY EXPENSIVE FOR HOW QUICKLY THEY WERE IN AND OUT OF MY HOME. SOME OF THE AREAS WERE CLEAN, BUT IT WAS EVIDENT THAT IT WAS DONE QUICKLY.
