They were prompt with getting us the price.

It was time to replace a 9 year old pump, and AZ law now forbids replacement with anything other than a variable speed pump... which means a lot more expense. David came on 6/28 for a free estimate. He recommended the PENTAIR INTELLIFLO VS-3050 (VARIABLE SPEED PUMP). I contacted the company a few days later and worked out the final pricing which included the Angie's List discount. End price was $1184 (including $105 tax!), with the company also receiving the $200 APS credit. The price was a special advertised on their website, and included a 5 yr parts & labor contract, though the website indicates quite a few exceptions from the warranty may apply. Kevin did the install on 7/10/13. Workmanship was good, and he spent a good deal of time explaining and having me practice adjusting the settings. The manual is reasonably clear, but the methodology for adjustments is not user-friendly at all. Typical summer settings are 4 hrs at high speed and 4 at low speed; the high speed (running at about 1400+ Watts) powers my pop-up Caretaker cleaning system, and the low setting (about 270 Watts) just circulates the water. (I have had excellent results with my Caretaker in-ground system, and especially with their parts warranty over the last 9 years-- though that warranty like Love's -- is not transferable when the home is sold!) The pump itself has its controls on top under a very cheesy cover that would not really be waterproof. It reminded me of the battery compartment cover on a very cheap toy car. Not even as good as the weatherized doors on my inexpensive ($35) watering control system. Seems intentionally designed to fail and force expensive repairs. My solution was to invert a clear plastic folder-filing box over the pump tilted about 40 degrees, such that rain would not get to the pump, but it would have plenty of air circulation from 3 sides. Some method to minimize direct sun is also recommended. I found 38 reviews of this pump on the internet, 7 of which were pretty LOW-- largely due to early failures. But other similar pumps had equally sad reviews. Bottom line is that I was happy with the Love Care folks, both install folks, and especially the honesty of the boss, Michael Love. Not so confident about the quality of the Pentair pump, but did not find a really better alternative. Am trusting Love Care's judgement.

This started out after I emptied the basket in my pool pump and couldn't get the pump to prime again. There was always air in the system no matter how much I filled it with water before starting. I called out the home warranty and they sent a technician who said the issue was a leak in piping underground. He said I should re-plumb it myself and he didn't fix anything (home warranty doesn't cover underground issues). I called Love Pool Care to possibly do the re-plumbing for me and see if they came to the same conclusion. The technician, David, did an awesome job and really went the extra mile. He tested and tried out many things, checking all the connections and even getting a shovel and digging down to see if there was any actual leak in the piping. He found the issue to be the pipe connection going into my pump, and with my permission fixed it right then and there. He was right and the pump was primed and good to go after that so I could finally cycle my water. Next they scheduled to fix the rest of my issues he identified (gear box, bad o-rings, missing nets, etc) and came out just a few days later to fix those. After those were fixed and a backwash of my sand filter my pool is looking better than I've ever seen it. They were extremely professional, in constant communication, and did a great job. Love Pool Care was also gracious enough to work with my home warranty after I told them that the issue wasn't above ground and should have been covered. I would definitely recommend them and will use them for any needs in the future.

The quality of their work is excellent. I was especially impressed because everything stopped working on the 4th of July weekend. I called them Saturday morning on the 4th of July weekend and they called me back within the hour and they came out that Monday morning to make the repair.

Had the lowest and most detailed bid. Quick resonse to evaluate the pool and equipment. After getting bid responded quickly and installed equipment quickly and professionally. Involved not only installing physical equipment but also complicated computer programming. The complicated equipment was installed by Andrew who was extremely competent but most pleasant and willing to answer questions. He and the owner (Michael Love) did the final programming of my computer,iPhone and iPad. Everything in the complicated arrangement has worked as advertised..

Company was very responsive and I wanted to "love" them because they were indeed very responsive and easy to deal with through email and online payment, etc. Charise in the office was a pleasure dealing with as was Jeremy on my initial quoting and assessment process. That is where the pleasure dealing with this company ends (and why I rank the overall a C and not an F). On two occassions I had to contact company because my pool or fountain appeared filthy on the days when my weekly service was to be performed. On my second query of the dirty pool, the company responded that they indeed were out to clean my pool on that day, they even sent me the technician's truck GPS report showing that he was at my house- upon review of the GPS report I noticed that the truck was only parked at my house for 12 minutes! It takes at least two minutes to unlock and access my pool area, and another 2 minutes to lock up and exit. That leaves 8 minutes to clean my pool, spa, and fountain and apply chemicals and test water quality as needed! Work simply was not being done! Thieves! Owner's response to me was: "had a talk with the technician and will personally train him on how to properly service our customer's pools" and offered me a free month of service. I politely declined and applaud the owners attempt at making it right. I just don't want to do business with a company that takes advantage of its customers- oh and one that trains its employees before releasing them to do a job that they were hired to perform . If you can't trust them to do what they have contracted to do, do you really trust them to be on your property?

After the initial 'sticker shock', it was smooth sailing. They are an authorized APS installer which made us eligible for the energy instant rebate offered by APS. The estimate was emailed to us, we accepted, and the service tech called the next morning to confirm the appointment for later in the morning. The installation was completed and the operation of the new unit was explained. It's quite a bit different than our older unit, so we appreciated the extra time he took to show us how it worked. We are completely satisfied with the work completed today. After the requested work, we did ask for an estimate on some additional work. I'll leave another review regarding our experience with a second estimate. Good pool service repair techs are hard to find! Thank you Angie's List for this one! 7/13/2013 Update. The new work has been completed and our pool hasn't looked so good in years! Nice work Love Pool Care. Believe it or not, waiting on a 3rd estimate for another minor repair. We now refer to our pool as the 'money pit'!

Overall, I am happy with the work. They did a good job. I think the communication between the parties could’ve been better. I like the way the pool turned out. The overall appearance of the pool, has been greatly enhanced. I am quite happy with them.

I will begin by stating that the estimator that came to my home was very professional. I was impressed with the notes taken, and measurements made. The estimator also had a copy of my original job request for quotation as a handy reference. I appreciated hot having to repeat my original request, but answer and ask questions that helped us both understand the developing scope of work. The estimate was delivered to me in an email attachment, and matched each line in my original RFQ to line-by-line. I had several questions, and concerns about the project scope. Subcontractor concerns were addressed by the Love Pool Company owner. I appreciated the time he took to thoughtfully address my issues. Communication was excellent between myself and the project manager. The project manager would take the time to address my concerns via email or phone call. One aspect of the project that could use improvement is scheduling. I was informed from the beginning it would be a little "fluid" if you pardon the pun. This turned out to be the case, but I was willing to overlook this nuisance in lieu of good communication. Given this was the largest and costliest project I've ever undertaken with my home, I chose to go with the more expensive contractor - a suggestion made in the monthly March Issue of Angie's List. I do recommend this organization for in-ground pool renovation projects. I'm quite satisfied with the quality work.

We thought their price was reasonable. The girl that came out was very professional. She said she would e-mail us their bid and it was to us within 48 hours. It was very timely. We would use them when we are ready to do that project.

Called for an estimate for weekly maintenance and pebble tec repair. Communication through email was quick and responsive with office to set up appointment with technician. Technician rescheduled last minute, but then showed up for the second appointment. Technincian was friendly and informative, and said to expect an estimate from the office in a day or two. Still have not received anything, and have tried to contact office multiple times through phone and email...no luck. Terrible responsiveness and professionalism.

The company came out to talk to me about the weekly service they would perform. Gave me a quote. He was professional and thorough. My pool was green when he arrived. Within one week they had the pool balanced and very clear. They are doing a wonderful job, and I will continue the weekly service. Other benefits: I have the same technician every Friday. They have professional logo trucks and uniforms. They did everything they said they would. They have a website! and I was able to fill out my application online, I receive my invoice online, and I can pay online. Thank you for the great work you doing!

Awesome. Ryan was grade A material. He was in and out in a little over an hour with everything working as expected. I would recommend Love Pool Care and we will use them again.

Remodel manager was very good at looking at my pool and recommending what to do for my areas of concern. Estimate was lower than the big pool companies and very detailed. Work started on time with high quality. The tile work, which was found to be needed when the calcium line was cleaned, took longer than expected due to the demand for tile work. The tile person did an excellent job. The pool was refilled and started in a timely manner. The communnications were good throughout the entire process.

I have a pool pump that was not working. In the initial visit, Love's serviceman looked at my equipment and said I should expect an e-mail quote of the cost to repair the system. He also said that, if I accepted their offer, he could return the next day to perform the service When several hours passed with no quote received, I called the company. Subsequently a quote was sent ($100.00) that was accepted but the earliest appointment available was several days away. When the serviceman arrived, he told me that the problem was more extensive than he thought and that they would be sending me a new quote, again by e-mail. It took them 7 days to provide the new quote and the amount was for $850.00 for time and materials to install a new electrical line to the pool pump. To their credit, they did not charge me for the second visit. I did not accept their offer. Instead I purchased the materials myself from Home Depot, Ran the conduit and wires myself and hired a handyman I found on Craig's List to connect it for me. The materials cost less than $60.00 and the cost to connect was $40.00. I am a retired senior citizen. The $750 savings is a LOT of money to "throw away". Today I have a functioning system again. One other note, Your salesperson suggested that by using Love, whose location is quite close to my home, it was likely that I wouldn't be charged their "trip charge" for the initial visit. That didn't happen.

We have had the pool service company, Lovepoolcare, for one month now and are extremely happy with them. Mason was very nice and did a great job. The next visit he took the filter apart and cleaned that and spent as much time as needed. He did not rush the job. The next week we noticed that the water level was too low and it was the day before a visit from Mason. The day of the next visit, Mason, tried to see if he could fix the water leveler but to no avail. My husband asked him to please pick up another as he had just returned home from a complete knee replacement surgery and a couple of weeks in rehab. The next day Mason arrived and install the new water leveler. We are very happy with the services we have received and the price was competitive. We made the right choice.

I chose Love Pool Care because of the great record and reviews on Angie's List, and because I was impressed when they came to check out my pool and give an estimate. The gentleman seemed to be very knowledgeable and it seemed like I'd be leaving our pool in good hands. We had just bought a home and have never had a pool before. The gentleman pointed out that some tiling would eventually need reparing; that a minor electrical repair would be needed to get the pool light working. And I asked for an estimate on removing the diving board, which we were thinking of getting rid of. He said things seemed to be running fairly well otherwise. We have a diving pool and a heated spa, and the spa heater was put in new by the seller before we bought our home, per the terms of the sale. We were sent an estimate for the electical repair for the light, and were told that an estimate on the "tile and decking" would follow later. Weekly pool service began, and the guy who actually began coming to our home weekly was very nice and seemed to do a good job. One day when he was over, 2 or 3 weeks in, I asked him to show me how to work the spa and heater. He could not get the heater up and running. He said he'd have a technician come and check it out. The propane tanks and lines / setup seemed very old, probably not used in a long time, and it seemed like they might be empty. After over a week, I hadn't heard back about this. I had also called the office prior to this to remind them I was still waiting for the estimate on removing the diving board, and was told it would be coming. It never came. So I emailed the company to enquire about the spa heater, to follow up again on getting an estimate about removing the diving board, and to ask them to go ahead with the electrical repair for the pool light. The owner emailed me back, said the technician had been to the house and confirmed that the propane tanks were empty, and that we should call the propane company. He also said that he'd schedule the electical repair to be done the next day, and that he'd get us the estimate on the diving board. The electrical repair never happened. I had the gas company come and replace our propane tanks and re-do the lines (not cheap), only to find out that our spa heater is actually designed for natural gas, and not compatible with propane! We don't have a natural gas line at our house. In the mean time, I had gotten a call from the company one day telling me what time they would be coming to remove the diving board, but I had to tell them that I had actually asked for an estimate, and hadn't actually decided to do the work. When I contacted them again with the news from the propane company about the spa heater, they sent the technician right over, and he did call me and apologize for missing that it was the wrong heater. They looked into a conversion kit, but it turned out there was no inexpensive option, and they recommended I purchase a new propane heater. I did finally get my diving board estimate. But I found another company to use and have cancelled service. Regarding cost - their monthly rate was above others I have been quoted, but they waived the startup fee. I mentioned the coupon on Angies List for a free month of service, and they said this would be given for the 7th month of service, after 6 months of continuous service (does not say that on the coupon). Estimates for repairs were significantly discounted, after I had pointed out the problems I was having with the service.

Despite some confusion and lack of response to my initial calls, I was pleased with the service provided once I was contacted. They were very quick to get someone out here to look at the issues I was having and both the estimator and the repairman were very knowledgable.

The perofrmance was terrific. From the initial visit to the final repair, these people know how take care of their customer. On-time, energetic, helpful and very fair pricing. If you need pool services of any kind, I suggest you check these folks out. They will be my pool service provider of choice from here on out.

We haven?t had much luck in the past with pool companies returning calls let alone showing up so I was hesitant on trying another pool company but it needed service so I called. WHAT DIFFERENCE! Not only did I get a prompt response but also a fair quote. The work was completed as promised and on time. If you are not happy with your pool, just call ? you won?t be disappointed!

Had to call them back as they did not good pool chemicals stabilized. Did not keep us informed of their schedule. Here and then gone didn't know when they would be returning. Generally happy with everything. Maybe a little on the expensive side.

It was a very good experience. Jeremy, the technician, was efficient, pleasant, and highly skilled. He explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. The price for the service was reasonable. I would definitely use the company again for my pool repair needs.

The pool did not look so great when we first moved into our new house, and with their continued efforts, it now looks amazing.
