Mark Kelso, the owner, installed two ceiling fans. He was punctual, really friendly and very professional. We discussed additional work that I need done - upgrading living room and kitchen lighting - his ideas were exactly what I was looking for and so he's coming back to do more work for us!

I found a coupon on Angie's List to have a ceiling fan installed. I was able to hang the fan itself but was slightly overwhelmed when there were more wires than I knew what to do with. Angie's List provided a number of contractors offering bargain prices on ceiling fans and or recessed lighting fixtures. I clicked on Kelso Electric and made contact. There was no immediate response from Kelso which was attributed to the voice-mail message being dropped. Once contact was established, a date was set; less than 24 hours before the appointment, Kelso wanted to know if they could come out earlier but that was not practical with my schedule. Kelso showed up on time and did the work as required in the Angie's List bargain. The work was professionally completed and I was satisfied with the work. I would also like to take this opportunity to point out the extra effort made to properly balance the blades of the fan so that there were no excessive vibrations. Thank you Kelso.

Terrific, Mark was on time, even a bit early. Worked quick, solved the problem and in under an hour I was up and running.

Mark Kelso was very nice and arrived on time. He hooked up the two lights then talked to me about the electrical problems I was seeing. He spent some time looking at the specific areas of concern and identified the problems. He explained what he was doing and why the problems occured. He fixed everything I had a concern about. We needed electrical help on a renovation project centered around removal of a wall and re-locating major 220 and 110 electrical lines. Mark Kelso showed up on time and had good recommendations on how to best relocate electrical lines. He gave us a quote which was reasonable given the amount of work to do. Based on our first impressions of Mark's knowledge and fair price, we decided to hire him for our project. We were extremely pleased with our experience with Mark. He showed up on time. He completed the work on schedule. He was clean and respectful of our home during the project. He was patient and spent time with us designing the lighting and placement for our kitchen and living room which we really needed. He also recommended ceiling fans which we hadn't thought about. After the lighting was in, he then tuned it to improve coverage. This was beyond our expectations.. The end result was far better than we had hoped for. Mark proved to be honest, trustworthy and fair as well as knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Mark Kelso to anyone needing electrical work, and plan on using him again for future phases of our renovation.

Mark was very impressive, it was clear within the first few minutes that he knew what he was doing. We had some electrical issues in the home and could not figure out what the problem was, and Mark was able to identify it in a matter of minutes. He gave us a review of the electrical health of the house and relieved any concerns that a much greater issue existed that might need attention. I would highly recommend Mark if you are looking for someone who is honest, efficient, thorough, and experienced with electrical.

He responded very quickly. Actually, he was early to get here and did the work. It was fine. He was very personable and clean. He did what he was supposed to do and it was a good deal.

Quick diagnosis and repair. Mark guaranteed the fix or he would come back at no charge.

We contacted Kelso Electric and got a quick response from them. Mark was sent out to scope out our project. He said it was simple to do, showed us how to disconnect the electricity so we could safely complete removing the outside lighting. He arrived early, was very professional and didn't charge anything because the project didn't need their level of expertise. Very impressive.

Kelso Electric had the lowest bid, which is not always a criteria for our selection, but in this case we really liked the owner Mark. He promptly showed up to give the bid. When we selected him, he got everything in place, the permits, working with APS, etc. Set a date to do the job and completed same day as promised. Would definitely recommend this company and plan to use in the future for other electrical needs.

Arrived on time and performed work with no problems

I emailed him before I bought the coupon to find out if it would cost more because I had a rusted out light fixture. So he told me where to buy replacemnets (I asked). He was on time and pleasant. The only thing is he varied on his prices. I asked him prices on the same thing 3 different times over the course of 2 weeks and his amounts changed each time. And of course that's what worries me about contractors. They charge ridiculous prices per hour instead of a price for a type of job.

The service was good. He came on the date and time I scheduled, it was real convenient. He came when he said he was going to come. The ceiling fan seems to be up there very sturdy. I thought it was a good price. I scheduled him for some other work that turned out fine as well.

Kelso Electric arrived on time. The electrician was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and consciencious about not making or leaving a mess once the job was completed. The work was done to my satisfaction and my home was left as it was before the work was done. My only concern relative to the experience was that a recessed outlet was needed for one of the boxes behind the TV. The electrician had to leave the job to purchase the part at a local Home Depot. The part at Home Depot costs anywhere from $6 to $9, and I was billed more than $20 for the same part.

Appointment time was 8:30 a.m. They arrived at 8:00 a.m. I was still trying to get room arranged (dogs onto back patio so they wouldn't bother the workers). We showed them where to hang the fan, immediate first reaction was that they would need to put an additional $30 part because there wasn't enough stabilization. There was a fan there before for many years, but because it was a "hugger" it didn't need the extra stabilizer. Total now up to $88 (original deal was $58.) I could understand that - didn't want the fan to come crashing down. We also had 3 other items that we wanted them to give us quotes on. One was to switch out a chandelier with a light we had purchased. The second was to replace a broken switch in the hallway. The third was to replace a plug on the cord of an exercise treadmill (dog ate the cord). We left them to their work, and soon they came in and said they were done. Unfortunately, instead of giving us a quote on the light, they went ahead and did it - $50 more. (did I say we couldn't afford the extra $30 in the beginning, let alone this extra $50 - we just wanted a quote!!) They would have done the other two items too - for $90 more but LUCKILY they didn't have the parts with them! It's been six months and we haven't had any problems with the fan or the light. So - quality was good, we just had problems with communications. We asked for quotes - they did the work without supplying the quote first. We set the arrival time for 8:30 a.m. - they came at 8:00 a.m. Sorry, but in our house early is not necessarily better! Thanks, B. Rojas, Phoenix, AZ
