They were very professional. They did an excellent job. I would hire them again.

Full prep of exterior of home. Filled all cracks,covered all windows on first day. Returned promptly the following day for painting. Crew was on time and courteous. Just some minor touch -up work on the third day. Very pleased with the job.

I called John Horn for an estimate, and he came over a couple of days later. We had an estimate from another company on this list before hand (The other company that's ranked #1 on this site) and Horn's estimate was almost half of the other! So, I went with Horn Painting to do the work, and they did a GREAT job! I'm very happy I chose them as my painting company, and will hire them for all my painting jobs in the future!

They were very easy to work with, prompt and very professional, polite and responsive. The workers were quite competent, and got the job done quickly but patiently.

John Horn, the owner was at our house right after my inquiry. He was very easy to deal with and gave me an education about what was best to do and options available. After our decision was made, a formal contract was presented for our approval. Terms were payment upon completion of work. His crew had the single story 2200 square feet house prepped in one day. They had the house and wall painted in one more day. They applied a very thick coat of top quality paint, Dunn Edwards. Clean up was super; there wasn't a thing left in the yard or on the house. They worked around shrubbery that was up against the house and got the house well painted in those hard to get to spots. They taped up speakers on shelves out on the patio and painted all around those as well. They had to move a ton of patio furniture and potting/planting stuff as well as pool maintenance stuff, and it all was placed back for us. We couldn't have asked for better service, and the price was right!

The job honestly couldn't have gone better. I've had some fairly bad experiences with companies doing house work in the past, so I'm always a bit weary when I hire someone. These guys did an excellent job and I have no regrets whatsoever. John always returned calls promptly and showed up on time for the estimate. He and his team were then at my front door right on time on the day we discussed the job to start. They also cleaned up very well. House looks great! A final remark would be the cost of the job. Because of the great remarks on this site I was pretty much set on using Horn Painting as long as the estimate was reasonable. His estimate actually came in below that of his competitors. Best service for the lowest price. Too bad more companies don't follow that policy. :)

Terrific experience! John was a pleasure to work with and his crew were definitely professionals. I couldn't have had nicer folks working on our home. Everything took place exactly as scheduled, and no detail was over looked. They made our home look better than it ever has - and the neighbors are as thrilled as we are! I will have John back when we are ready to paint the inside, and I will recommend him to anyone who needs to have painting done.

It went WONDERFULLY. We are SO impressed with John and his crew. John returned all calls VERY promptly, from the beginning when we were soliciting bids, through the end of the process. He stopped by a few times every day to check on the progress. The crew was EXCELLENT. They did an outstanding job - we are so happy with the quality of the work. John is personable and CARING about the quality of the work he does. I don't think we have ever been so impressed with a contractor. I would highly, highly recommend him.

We called John for an estimate and he showed up promptly for the appointment. He went through the entire process with us. Telling us exactly what he would do on this job, each type of primer and each kind of paint he was going to use. He also pointed out all the repairs that needed to be done to the stucco. I called John 2 days after accepting his bid and his team showed up that very afternoon to begin work. They power washed our house and did all the prep work for the painting. The following day they painted and removed all the window coverings. They moved the rock back toward the foundation of the house that was moved for painting. The third day, the men returned to touch up anything that might have been missed, and took away all debris. They were here no more than 2 hours the last day. He and his crew are courteous, quiet and clean. All in all we are very satisfied with Horn Painting and would highly recommend them.

John (the owner) was always available by phone and returned messages promptly. The work was completed within the predicted time frame and with very high quality. They even installed new gasket material around the garage door before painting it. The crew completely covered all areas not being painted and left the property neat and clean. John's foreman was very polite and responsive to any requests I made during the process. The price was very reasonable for the high quality received, and I will definitely recommend Horn Painting to family and friends.

We received a letter stating they would not be painting the rest of the year. No other explanation from the company. We were very surprised and left without a pinter. Not a very good way to do business.

John Horn was contacted for an estimate after he had painted my brother's house. He was on time for the estimate, was very personable and professional and explained all the work that would be done and what materials would be used. The estimate was verbal and when I asked for a written estimate, John said he would fax me one the following morning, which he did. The work was scheduled for a Thursday and we were told it would take three days. That Thursday morning John and his crew showed up, on time again, John introduced his foreman and they got right to work. They pressure washed both buildings, made the repairs and primed the bad spots. By the end of the day the house was ready for paint. The following day they painted the entire house and shed and then cleaned up, taking extra time to make sure they did a good job. John asked me several times both days if I was happy with the work and if they were doing it to my satisfaction. His crew was clean, quiet and worked diligently.

The entire experience was great. John is a very nice guy. He is easy to contact, returns calls promptly, shows up when he says he will, is very reasonably priced and, above all, he does excellent work. His crew foreman spoke English very well and that is a plus, as well. I received my money's worth and then some (John did a few things that weren't in the original contract and didn't charge extra). I highly recommend John Horn painting.

We could not be happier with our experience. We had an awful experience with another painting company and therefore received several bids and researched companies we considered hiring. John was very professional and timely and his crew did a great job. He gave me a quote within a week and we scheduled the paint job for the following week. Painting is a messy job, but John's employees made every effort to keep the property as clean as possible. Before hiring him I asked to speak with a reference. I spoke with a gentleman whose home John had just completed painting and he could not say enough good things about his experience. I think you'd be very happy with John and I'm confidant that if you had a problem John we be very responsive in trying to resolve it.

John is a very sincere, helpful contractor. Everything he promised us was done in a timely manner. They started on time, finished on time. Did a good job of clean-up. John has a very nice crew, headed by Saul. The crew are good workers, each knows his job and performs it, and they are very helpful and pleasant. They had 6 tenants to deal with, cars to move or not, backyards to enter, and not a complaint from any tenant. We have already had two people stop and tell us how nice the buildings look. I will definitely use John for other paint jobs that we may have. I especially liked that John is present throughout the day. When John does need to leave, Saul his crew chief takes over, and Saul is always there. John is at the job a good deal of the time. He answers his own phone, so is always available for the crew or client.

Perfect job. Crew was prompt even though work was delayed by rain. Patios and walkways were covered with plastic. Gravel was put back. Everything was left clean. Windows were cleaned and they even put in the new light bulbs I purchased up high in the tower. John is very communicative and honest.

I love how fast, him and his team worked. They were most friendly people to work with. The job was completed as promised. That is a plus for me since this is a place of business. We pretty much did not have much distraction during construction. Best of all, it turn out beautifully. Thanks for a job well done. I would definitely recommend his company to my friends and fellow business owners.

John and his crew did a great job. They patched up the holes and fixed some cracks in our patio roof as well. The proposal was done right away, and they were very clean and organized. They did a great job!

John came out to give the estimate. Within a few days, he had matched the paint for me and his men were there to do the job. It took them exactly what was estimated to complete the project.

John was very responsive and courteous. He came over to see the project within a few days of my call. Shortly afterward, I had a faxed copy of the proposal followed up by a copy of the proposal in the mail and a telephone call.

John and Saul are friendly and patient. Their entire crew went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I had the paint number from one company, and John was able to match it with another company. Rocks were moved away from the foundation so the new paint could go lower. Although I knew the patio ceiling needed some repair. I had no idea that it would be as much work as it was. John's plasterer did an outstanding job on that ceiling. John was always ready to reply to my calls and he or his crew were on hand each morning to promptly start work at their scheduled time. I got John Horn's name from Angie's List and I highly recommend his organization.

Excellent experience. From the beginning, John is very personable and easy to talk to. He is a testament to an honest-working individual just trying to do a quality job in order to make a living. We decided to go with him because I explained to him that I was in no hurry to have the work completed and if he would be willing to cut me a deal on the price, then he would have nearly 8 months to complete the job. After we agreed to the work, his work crew was out after just three days. I have a fairly standard 2000 square foot Continental/Richmond American Two-Story stucco home built in the early 1990s. His crew completed the job in two days to include the back yard block fence. When completed, John came by and I pointed out two items that I felt they missed inadvertently (door jam behind a screen door and some stucco repair around an outlet) and he had it fixed within 24 hours without a complaint. Bottom line: If you are looking for a painter and don't know anyone, call John!

John Horn and his crew were wonderful to work with. John was very pleasant, personable, and professional. They were ALWAYS on time. We received a great bid. They were diligent with the prep work and cleanup. Any concerns that we had were taken care of immediately. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND his work.

They did an excellent/thorough job. They did what they said they would do, and they always returned phone calls. The cost was reasonable for the work done, and they didn't skip any essential steps. I didn't have to pay ANYTHING until the work was complete, and I was satisfied, which I am. It took less than a week from start to finish. I was very concerned about making sure they used the paint colors my wife wanted.
