JOHN HORN PAINTING

John HornPainting did an excellent job painting the exterior of our house. They were on time, cleaned up well and made any changes we requested. Pricing was very reasonable. John was present throughout the job to supervise and work. He returned the day after completion to recheck the work and did touch ups we hadn't seen. Can't recommend John and his crew enough!

Schedule went a bit longer than quoted, but it's a big house, and it was doubtful it could be completed in the tight timeline suggested, so it wasn't unexpected. The work was done well and the painting crew was efficient and hard-working. Had Horn paint the same house several years ago, and was pleased both times. Also patched and painted a wall in the pool area.

Was an excellent experience from start to finish. Great communication, excellent customer service. John was a pleasure to do business with. They did the highest quality work, greatly exceeding my expectations. No shortcuts, everything done as promised. High quality Sherman Williams paint, very detail oriented. Small, family owned business that take pride in their work. I will happily pay more money to have the job done right.

Miserable experience with Jr and Sr Horn. They committed to price and date of doing work. I happen to stop by Dunn Edwards and agent educated me on different qualities of paint. As soon as I asked Horn what quality paint they had planned to use, it went quiet and they no longer responded except after I got very direct, which their response was that they were going to pass on the job. Reneging is a lousy business practice but I suspect Horn's integrity is questionable. After I started looking for another painter, I also had some conversations with our neighbors in our cul-de-sac. Found out some not so flattering information about the Horn business. Just stay away from these guys is my recommendation. Too much drama, too many problems, and unacceptable business practices. I hope to never see them in our area.

Fantastic service! After the paint job, we had an issue with one of the garage lights. They tried to resolve it with their expertise and could not. They hired an electrician to come and address the issue. They provide great service and do the job on time!

Excellent job. House was prepped very thoroughly and corrected all stucco cracks and dents. Paint was applied with outstanding result.

This company (John Horn) works mostly on door knocking and past customers for their business. They gave us the most expensive quote out of the 4 quotes we had done....they were way over every quote by $1000.00 for the exact same work, he uses the cheapest paint! Horn painting does use Dunn Edwards paint, but they use the very least in quality grade paint. We did Not use this company.

John was hired to paint the house and walls surrounding yard. He and his crew were on time and took time for a thorough prep. The paint job was outstanding and on budget.

This was by far our best experience with a contractor since moving to Arizona. John walked us through everything that he would provide with the service when he first gave us a quote. On the day the job was to start, he and his crew showed up at exactly the time he said they would. He walked us once more through everything to see if we had any questions and to ensure we were all in agreement on which colors would go where so that there was no question. His crew worked efficiently and the whole project was complete in two days. It was so nice to finally deal with someone who took customer service seriously. And they did a great job! The house paint looks great! We are very pleased and would definitely work with John Horn again, as well as recommend him.

They were not the cheapest of the quotes we received, but were willing to negotiate a little bit. They were referred by a good friend as highly recommended. They were able to start one week from agreement, were on-time, clean, well mannered and -- most importantly -- did an excellent job. After initially power washing the entire house, they realized that there was still a chaucky film from the stuccoed paint on the house. Without even telling us, or asking for more money, they applied some sort of adhesive undercoat before actually painting the home. The work was just recently completed, and they assured us if we see any issues or problems - not just in the next few days, but months - to just call and they will come back and address it. Very pleased. Worked mainly with James Horn, but father John Horn was also on site to check the work periodically.

John's crew was extra efficient at getting the job done, using top-notch Dunn Edwards paint. They finished our house, which hadn't been properly repainted since it was built in the late 1990s, in two days. Many of our neighbors houses often take 3-5 days to prep and paint. John's crew also sealed walls where paint was degrading into powder. It was clear that John has been in this business a long time, which is a definite bonus these days.

The painting was for $2000 and I did a couple of add-ons for another$300. They are real workable they are good and nothing bad at all. I’ll use them again.

During the first visit, John listened to what I needed to have done, he explained what his crew would do to do the job. And they have done all they promised. The crew working on the house was nice, they did a good job. Before they were done and left, John walked around the house with me, we looked at the work and the few little remarks I had were taken care off on the spot. Pleasure to do business with this company.

Very well, no issues, finished in three days. Used high quality Dunn-Edwards paints. Cleaned up site upon completion. Professional crew showed up on time everyday. Very pleased with result, would recommend without reservation.

Overall it went perfect. They forgot to paint the house numbers on the last day and I told Mr Horn. The painters came back the very next day and painted the numbers. Not a whole lot to say...they came to paint the house, did an excellent job, cleaned up when they left and we are happy with the results.

They did a really fantastic job. I got three estimates. All three companies provided the same services so it was apples to apples. This company was a couple of hundred lower for both houses combined so I chose them. Glad I did. The owner John was great to work with, the service was terrific. They used quality products and were completely professional. They did such a good job, my neighbor ended up getting their house painted too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The job went well, has lasted well, and we were and are definitely satisfied with Horn Painting. As I said it has been several years, but the whole job went as described and has lasted well. Very high grade paint was used.

Everything was very professional. Crew masked everything appropriately, performed their work, and cleaned up afterwards. I was happy with the work completed.

This is a man with a great reputation. And it is well-deserved. His work is stellar and his response time is excellent.

Jim Horn (John's brother) came out to give us an estimate. He is a very nice guy, very likable , and very agreeable....he also pointed out things that needed to be done in the future. He did everything he said he would do and more. He spent two half days and completed everything on time. He called when necessary and did everything right.

They were excellent. They came out the next day. He even helped choosing a color pallete. They showed up a day or two later with two helpers. They did a beautiful job.

John the owner provided a job price the day after I phone (very responsive!). During the pricing, he pointed out minor repair in stucco that needed to be done and explained how the preparation (including power washing, scraping peeling paint, stucco repair and calking), painting, and clean up would be done. He said that the price would not fluctuate, if they needed more paint or repair was more extensive. it was included in the price (very reassuring!). Te job was started on time, done professionally, and completed on time. I absolutely could not have been more pleased with the interactions with John and his crew or with the quality of the job. Fantastic communication and fantastic job. Our home, with the 3-color quality paint scheme, now has the curbside "wow!" factor.

Outstanding. It was a pleasure doing business with this company. John Horn is prompt, easy to get a hold of, and responsive. House was power washed, windows and doors were taped and protected with plastic. Rock around foundation was pulled back, driveway and patio were protected with plastic. Plenty of paint was used so the job will last a long time. Wood trim and doors were painted with semi-gloss to improve durability.
