Hawkeye Landscaping

It went great. The leaks were fixed very quickly and I even got a quote for additional landscaping; gravel and two palm trees. I will be requesting the gravel and palm trees be installed by the end of the month.

Overall, great experience. We love the pavers and the artificial turf! They exceeded our expectations and delivered a beautiful landscape package. They are not cheap but do a quality job.

They were so professional on the initial consultation, so that made us feel comfortable going with them. Unlike some, they did not want to charge us a fee for their design drawings, and they also had the best designs we saw. They took us out to pick out our plants, although we mostly relied on their expert recommendations. They were able to come up with a suitable design within our budget. The installation went seemlessly smooth. Three years later, our yard looks beautiful, nothing has died, and our dogs have been unable to destroy the sprinkler system, which was a major concern as they had done it before, but Hawkeye, dug it in deep and installed it so that we have had no further problems. We are completely satisfied and will use the. Again when we do further upgrades.

It went perfectly & quickly. I've never seen tons of dirt removed so quickly after a layer of gravel & new rock spread as fast.

Hawkeye is absolutely the best in the business. Kelly and his team are tops in this space. This is the 3rd time in two homes that I have used Hawkeye and I recommend them to all my friends. They keep their schedules, they make no excuses and just do a first class job. I will not go to another landscaper after working with the folks at Hawkeye. I have had them do much smaller scale work at another home and the work was spectacular and the landscaping alone sold the home for me to the next buyers. My new home needed plenty of work and Kelly and his guys completed a huge job is 5 working days. I just wish all my contractors were this good.

Fabulous! They are a great company, did excellent work. Good price. We were pleased. They are clean, they are professional and they are prompt. I went above and beyond the deal price.

On time, on budget (although more expensive than I'd hoped - they did honor a $100 Angie's list coupon), and completed more quickly than I'd imagined. Met me at the nursery and rock/stone vendor to choose plants etc.

Daniel was very helpful, efficient, friendly, and professional. He diagnosed the problems and corrected them. I just had hip surgery, and he was very considerate of my difficulty walking. He was very clear in explaining what he was going to do throughout . I was advised the charge would be $125.00 service fee plus parts and taxes. I was charged as told. I was scheduled for service within 48 hours of my call and given a 3 hour window for arrival which was very convenient.

Kelly was very responsive and collaborative. The work was done very efficiently and professionally.

The crew arrived on time and started on a Monday morning. Kelly introduced me to the foreman, Dave, and then went over what was to be done. Dave was a delight to work with and the crew were very professional and friendly. Kelly visited the site a number of times during the week of work to provide oversight and to explain what was going to be done that day. The grass was installed by a separate crew who was introduced by Kelly to me. They did a fabulous job and the end result was all it was supposed to be as promised by Kelly. When using a service provider, I am always looking for quality, good customer service at an affordable price. I found this to be very true with Hawkeye Landscaping and would highly recommend them to anyone.

He was able to price it out reasonably and perform the work right away. He knows the ins and outs for successful landscaping. Kelly's staff was punctual, professional and finished on time. All details were taken care of. End result was beautifully laid out pavers, lush green grass with sprinklers installed and 3 desert type planters along the back fence. My kids love the backyard and so do I!

It was fine. There were additional charges beyond the big deal amount. He replaced a few sprinkler heads, so it was like $200. They came out right after the deal was purchased. They were capable, answered all my questions and made recommendations.

The answering service said Kelly would contact me to set an appointment up. Several days later Kelly has not called to do so. At this point I won't be wasting my time with them. UPDATE - The contractor contacted me, apologized, set an appointment and provided an estimate. We did not go with this contractor.

Gordon kept me up to date on the project, he answered all questions I had. The crew was very professional and friendly.

Although their quote was very competitive, I chose Hawkeye because of their responsiveness. That started with Gordon who walked us through the whole process, from chosing a design and then through every detail of decision making (which were many). He would also actually listen to us and make what we wanted happen. We were having our pool remodeled at the same time and Hawkeye was very patient with scheduling conflicts. Every crew that came out was prompt and professional and explained what they would be doing that day. Things are always going to come up on a large project like this but, with every issue, I would get a quick response and it was taken care of. That is my reason for making that my priority in choosing a service provider. Just yesterday, a month after the project was finished, I notified Gordon of a leak and by the afternoon it was fixed. And I can't say enough about the new yard. It came together beautifully, from a rough sketch to literal paradise. We love it!

I decided to use a different company but wanted to make sure that I write this review. This contractor was great with designing and providing an estimate. They came at the exact time of the appointment to review my backyard and provided a rough sketch and estimate. I did not provide information to him as to what I envisioned, nor did I provide a budget number. However, based on other bids and the contractor I hired, Hawkeye was right in the ball park with cost and design. What I appreciated the most was that they did not push to get the project and was willing to work with me for whatever my budget entailed. Even though I chose a more local company to use, I come to find out that my boss used Hawkeye for their landscaping and was completely satisfied.

It went very well and there were no problems. They were personal, accommodating, and did a good job.

They were punctual, fairly priced and reliable.

This is the second time I've used Hawkeye and I trust them. In both cases there were a couple areas where I could have helped myself prior to calling them and they pointed that out to me.

Checked drip system and got it running and showed me how to make adjustments.

I called for appointment and Kelly responded promptly at my convenience. He quickly understood my request and drew up an estimate. I booked work for Friday before Veteran's Day holiday due to work with finish planned on Monday, the holiday.. They did show up late on Friday but kept me posted and worked like mad when they got to me. They finished early by coming Saturday with extra workers and finishing on Saturday. They cleaned up as if they were never here. Left me a beautiful refurbished back yard and a refreshed front. Would not hesitate to hire again.

We got bids from several Angie's list providers and it was as much the bid process as the price that made us choose Hawkeye. Their rep, Gordon Palmer, listened to us, made helpful suggestions, and itemized every part of their bid so that he made it easier to compare with other bids and to add things in and take things out to meet our budget. He was constantly available by phone, was very responsive, and oversaw the job with attention to quality. He visited a nursery with me and worked with me on plant selection. When we decided to use different contractors for the patio roof, and the artificial turf, he worked with the other companies to make the schedule go smoothly. And their follow up (one plant died, one light burned out, sprinkler adjustments, etc) has been stellar and very timely. My only complaint during the entire process was that the daily job supervisor didn't always inform me on his schedule and the crews didn't clean up as well as I would have preferred. But in the end the job was finished with great attention to detail and we are very satisfied.

I contacted Hawkeye through Angie's List and received a very prompt, professional and friendly reply with the appointment date and time I had requested. Kelly came out exactly when scheduled and was extremely professional and personable during the quote process. He took the time to listen to what I wanted, ask questions and made some great suggestions. He measured everything before quoting the job (imagine that! :)) while I looked through his electronic pictures of previous jobs to get an idea of what we wanted. And he was able to give me a quote on that day before he left. Although he was extremely high in price and out of our budget, I felt confident that if we were to hire his company, we would get top notch service. Maybe in the future if our budget allows it, we will use Hawkeye.

I have not moved forward with my landscaping project yet, don't know who I will use just yet.
