They were able to send somebody out the day after I called. He came exactly at the time promised. I had two leaks that needed repair - one of them being under a sidewalk. He fixed both leaks quickly and also assessed the rest of the system. He even reprogrammed my sprinkler system. They were extremely nice, very professional and courteous and very informative. I will definitely call them again!

He was unable to complete the entire test due to malfunctions with the controller, but gave me a good explanation of some items that need attention and provided me with an estimate for the work.

Gordon from Hawkeye met with us to review what we wanted and wrote up a competitive bid on the spot. Once we contracted with Hawkeye, Gordon met us at a nursery to select plants and then generated our landscape plan. After a few revisions we were happy with the plan and Gordon got the plan approved through our HOA. The work was started as scheduled a couple weeks later. They did a good job with the tree and shrub removal and pruning, installed the drip PVC piping, built the brick turf boarder and installed the new sod. We requested several changes after the job started (removing several more trees, adding more shrubs, etc). Hawkeye accommodated all the changes we requested but this put them behind schedule. They worked very hard but were not able to get the trees and shrubs planted before the Thanksgiving holiday. Hawkeye set up temporary irrigation on the new plants and came back after the holiday to finish the planting, drip irrigation and spreading the new rock around. I found and fixed a few problems with the irrigation. I assume the irrigation problems were caused by our changes making them work double time. Hawkeye indicated they would fix any problems I found but it was easy enough that I just fixed them myself. Overall, I am VERY pleased with the results. Our new landscape looks great and I appreciate Hawkeye being flexible with all the changes we made during the project.

I ended up not using the coupon because I am out of their service area, but the woman I spoke to on the phone was very nice.

They seemed great and were recommended on angie's list, however once teh guy came out and saw the amount of work we wanted done (not terribly alot), he flat out said well we wont do any work for under $1600. This was not mentieoend on thier website or when calling to set up an estimate. We wanted landscaping redone, some lighitng updated, move some cactis, trim trees and install ripwrap. When we recieved the bid, it was marked up alot and the new total came to $1800-$2000. No one quoted anywhere near that high. Would have prefered to know about the minium project cost before they came out.

The person arrived on time, was professional and personable. We were happy with the service.

At first I had some issues, but we halfway worked them out. Then I noticed that a lot of the flowers that they put in weren't the colors that I had requested. I've also had to replace plants. The biggest issue was that the date palms have small plants growing out of them that are hard to remove because of how sharp they are and how quickly they sprout back. Finally I called a nursery and the person who worked there seemed surprised that this has been happening. He said that I'd have to have my landscaper come back out and remove them deep at the root and sprinkle sulfur on top. He also mentioned that this happened because of the way they had been planted. Even after this was done, they grew back. I've never once seen another palm that looked like mine. Finally I called Hawkeye again to explain what's been happening. The landscapers told me that it was a maintenance problem and I let them know that this has become very costly for me. They do not want any responsibility for the problems they've cause me. I would just want them to come out and correct this issue.

The gentleman who came was a very nice, professional. He was on time, did the job quickly, and was professional. He did a great job repairing it. I felt that the price was a little high. Had it been a little lower, I would consider using them again, but it did not appear they were interested in my future business.

Did good work but I asked for estimate and person made repairs before I knew what cost would be. Bill was in addition to cost of groupon for inspection/estimate cost. Work was good quality, things are working well so far but did not appreciate work being done prior to approving cost of repairs. Cost more than double what I initially thought bill would be. Person was here less than an hour total.

The service went very well. My goal for the service was to find out why the sprinkler valve box was filling up with dirt (assuming it was a leak), and to find the source of the leak causing high water bills. After a quick disucssion the landscaper (sorry - don't have the name) started on his own. He reviewed the full system first, including running each station and inspecting the heads. After the review he showed how the valve box dirt was the result of burrowing animals, not a leak. He found the actual source of the leak under a large cactus, which was evident from the sound of running water when you listened closely. Using a shovel to push the cactus to the side revealed the leak, which ran into the city water box and left little evidence. The leak was not fixed as the deal was for inspection only, but it did save me significant time in finding the actual source of the problem which I then repaired myself. Well worth the money.

The price was really high per square foot because we had such a small job. Almost $800 just to remove landscaping rock from a 600 sqaure foot area. It would have been another $800 to bring the new rock and spread it. So we opted to just have the old rock removed. Job was done in two hours, but on closer inspection the rock was not throughly removed especially around any plants or in the back yard and we had a lot more to dig out ourselves.

Received an offer from Hawkeye and it was a great experience. I was unable to proceed with the services, but the owner was very punctual, nice, helpful and knew what he was talking about.

All in all, the work was professional and the installer was courteous and polite but the price seemed a touch excessive after comparison shopping. Very professional on the phone and in person, worked promptly and did the job right the first time. Also the timer and work has a fantastic warranty, perfect for a rental property.

Showed up on time and finished the &60 tuneup special. He found and fixed a few malfunctions, then dug up and repaired two underground leaks in other areas at my request. Fast, expert work from a personable pro.

The work was completed in 3 days and looked fabulous. Since completion, we have had a few issues with trees not doing well or the system getting blocked and Hawkeye sent techs out immediately to find and fix the issues (at no charge for the 1st year following the work). I cannot recommend them enough.

My home inpsector told me I needed some landscaping work done. I called them for an estimate. They came to the house and provided me with a quote. I wouldn't have been in town at the time the work would have been needed. They made me feel at ease by offering to do the work with me being out of the country. They were great and I liked them. I would have hired them if I had purchased the house.

The rep from Hawkeye listened to what I wanted to do and gave me advice on how I could accomplish that. He was upfront and I didn't feel like he was trying to upsell me. The work was completed on time and to my satisfaction. I would and will use them again for my next remodel.

They answered the phone after hours, set an appointment for the following day, gave estimate over the phone, the work came in below estimate. I was very satisfied and would highly recommend them. The service man was courteous and professional.

I bought a timer for my sprinkler system from an online source and needed someone to install - called Hawkeye and they were very prompt to install and very cordial. About 40 minutes and he was done.

I made a call around 9:00 p.m. on 7/3/12, received a call on the morning of 7/4/12 (holiday) and a service person had repaired the problem AS WELL as the system in the back yard by 1:00 p.m. The service person was very friendly, courteous, competent, and worked through the rain to find the problem! In addition, the charge was very reasonable for holiday service. A very satisfactory experience.

Hawkeye Landscaping did a great job redoing our front yard. They came up with several designs for us to choose from and were happy to accommodate changes (even the day they started) in the one we finally chose. They were on time and delivered the project within the time frame and budget originally estimated. The flagstone walkway they put in was even better than I had hoped for (one of our compromises to reduce overall cost), and it has been 3 months and the plantings are doing well. I had one minor issue after the job was complete and they came out right away to fix it. I would definitely use their services again.

I requested an estimate from this company to install approximately 400 sq ft of pavers in my unfinished yard. The site had been partially prepped - cleared of weeds and most of the soil necessary for a proper installation. They arrived somewhat later than promised, took a cursory look at the installation area and materials I had on site, and provided a hand-written quote. No measurements were taken of the area. The quote came in well over twice what I was expecting (and eventually paid for the same work), considering I already had almost all the pavers necessary, the AB soil and the sand to install.

They were very prompt, got the job done quickly, maybe a little too quickly to be sure everything was done correctly. We mentioned that they had forgotten to pretreat the lawn before putting down fabric .They had already put down some fabric. We paid extra for the pre treatment and they told us that it would prevent grass from regrowing for at least six months.About a month and a half afterwards we started noticing quite a bit of grass growing through the stones. When I called the office they were very good about sending someone out to spray again. No problem. About a week or so after that, we were still getting grass growing. Since we had been told that the work was guaranteed for at least six months I called the office and was rudely told, "oh no, you have to keep spraying we don't guarantee no growth. For the most part, this company was great. Even when someone put a hole in one of the patio chairs with their tools, we didn't say anything, because everyone was so nice and mistakes happen. Not sure if we will use the company again. Very disappointed .

We had a great experience with Hawkeye Landscaping and would recommend Kelly, Kevin (Kelly's brother) and their crew. Kelly listened to what we wanted in a landscape. He gave us information and suggestions about the plants we wanted to use. He was helpful in discerning what to plant and where to put it. He had a lot of ideas about plants to use but was very respectful and considerate of our desires. His bid was competitive with the two other companies we obtained bids from. One was significantly higher than Hawkeye's bid and one was just few hundred higher. We selected Hawkeye, because Kelly seemed easy to work with and very helpful. He gave us a detail list of the costs so we reduce costs in some areas as needed. Kelly was able to schedule our install to accommodate the pool company's requirements. When the pool company had an issue and the schedule changed - Kelly moved around his schedule and installed our landscaping so we would have a completed backyard as quickly as possible.Kelly's brother, Kevin, was the foreman on our job. He and his crew showed up on time and worked hard all day. Their workers were polite and respectful. Kevin carefully selected our plants, especially the 24" box trees. We have two beautiful pepper trees and a Palo verde tree that look much larger and fuller than we expected. The other plants are of a good size, well proportioned and healthy. They also installed a paver pad, lay gravel. The pad is level and installed tightly. The gravel is laid evenly and covers the yard. The lights were Kelly's suggestion. And they are a great addition to our yard at night. They make the landscaping "pop" and add a very professional look to the yard. Our yard looks great! We are very happy with the work done by Hawkeye Landscaping. They were easy to work and the quality of their work is top notch. We will use them again.
