I was able to contact someone at the company on my first call and got an estimate over the phone. I mentioned the Angies List discount advertised on this site and it was honored. I scheduled a time (on short notice, I made the call on a Wednesday and scheduled for the following Saturday). The movers arrived right on time. They wrapped everything to protect it and worked efficiently. They were courteous and professional. They followed me to the new house and unloaded and unwrapped everthing and put it where I wanted it. Overall they packed, wrapped, moved, unpacked and unwrapped everything in about 3 hours. I had to remind the movers of the promised discount at the time of payment, but they called in to the office and confirmed it with no hassle.
Description of Work: Moved all large furniture (couches, entertainment center, beds, appliances, etc.) from one house to another within the same city.

All parts of the process from the initial in person assessment to the final completion of the job were done with care and professionalism. No items were lost on the move and nothing was broken. The crew was friendly, courteous, and carried out all requests during the day. I would highly recommend this firm for a residential move.
Description of Work: Get Your Move On LLC moved all of our items from our home in Glendale, AZ to our new home in Laveen, AZ. Both homes are 4 bedrooms, living room, family room, kitchen, and dining room. Items moved ranged from large heavy furniture (including a grand piano) to small light boxes. The move was done by a crew of 4 in one day starting at about 7:00 AM and finishing about 5:00 PM.

The owner sent a team to move us; however, the team invaded my refrigerator to obtain drinks without asking. They did not bring any drinks of their own. I was told that they would wrap the furniture and they didn't wrap the furniture before they moved it to the truck; they waited to wrap the furniture when it was already in the truck. I found this a most disappointing experience. They were good at putting furniture where I wanted them to put it and they were on time. The cost was slightly over estimate, but he did bring the cost back down to the high end of his original estimate. Based on other estimates, they were a little lower than the competition.
Description of Work: We used them to move us from one single family residence to another within a 2 mile range.

WE ARE THE ONLY MOVING COMPANY THAT WE KNOW OF THAT HAS 10 GALLON GATORADE JUGS MOUNTED TO THE BELLY OF ALL OF OUR TRUCKS. UNFORTUNATELY, WE WERE RUNNING BEHIND AND THE GUYS MADE THE DECISION TO BE ON TIME INSTEAD OF STOP TO FILL THE JUG. THIS CREATED A SITUATION WHICH OUR MOVERS HAD ADD TO DRINK YOUR SODAS/WATER. AFTER THE MEETING WITH ALL MY MOVERS AFTER ORIGINALLY BEING OFFERED COULD UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FELT HAVING MOST OF YOUR SODAS "RAIDED" AND NOW IT IS OFFICIAL PROTOCOL TO ONLY ACCEPT WATER IF IT IS OFFERED, WATER IS IN THE COOLER. TO ADDRESS THE LACK OF WRAPPING AND BEING OVER BUDGET. ESTIMATING A MOVE IS A CONSTANT TIGHTROPE I WALK. TRYING TO BALANCE THE AMOUNT OF TIME TO MOVE YOUR POSSESSIONS IN A SAFE AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER WHILE KEEPING WITHIN A CUSTOMERS BUDGET AND COST PERCEPTIONS. THERE ARE MANY VARIABLES REGARDING MOVING WHICH ARE SOMETIMES DIFFICULT TO FORESEE WHEN ESTIMATING A MOVE PRIOR TO THE HOUSE BEING PACKED. I ALWAYS TRY TO PROVIDE A REALISTIC ESTIMATE THAT ALLOWS TIME FOR VARIABLES SUCH AS MORE BOXES THAN EXPECTED, REARRANGING THE FURNITURE TO A CLIENT'S DESIRES, INCOMPLETE PACKING BY OWNER, ETC. OUR MOVERS RECOGNIZED THAT TO KEEP THE MOVE WITHIN BUDGET, THEY WOULD HAVE TO FOREGO PAD-WRAPPING EVERY SINGLE PIECE WHILE LOADING AND DRAPING CAREFULLY OTHER, LESS VALUABLE PIECES OF FURNITURE. THIS ALLOWED THEM TO DELIVER THE MOVE ON-BUDGET WITHOUT COMPROMISING PROTECTION ON THE BEST QUALITY FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES. FURTHERMORE, WHEN WE SPOKE IN OUR FOLLOW-UP PHONE CALL AND YOU MENTIONED THAT THE JOB WAS OVER-BUDGET, I OFFERED TO REDUCE THE PRICE TO THE HI-END OF THE ESTIMATE WHICH SEEMED TO SATISFY YOU AT THE TIME. Derek came to look at my household belongings and give me a written estimate. I was honest with him and told him I was on a budget, so he provided a written estimate with two options: furniture only, or furniture and boxes, etc. My plan was to hire a moving company for the furniture and take care of everything else myself with pickups and friends to save money. The day of my move, a crew of three showed up on time with paperwork that matched the estimate exactly. Derek had obviously communicated with them, because they walked through my home while asking questions like, "Do you want us to move these boxes from the closet shelf?" The three gentlemen who facilitated my move were so efficient and hard-working that I decided in the end to have them take as much as they could on their truck. In the end I paid for them to move nearly everything, but it was worth every penny!
Description of Work: Moved furniture and LOTS of boxes and misc. stuff from one home to another - my new home is 1800 square feet.

Derek (owner) was the only one (of the companies that I contacted) that stopped by and gave me a written estimate. He was very professional, explained the work that would be done and explained the insurance coverage. He also gave me tips on how to pack my breakable items! He was very responsive to any questions I had and always returned my calls and addressed me with the utmost respect. He gave me several business cards and offered references. The movers were also very polite and went right to work. They answered any questions I had of them and assured me that my items would be taken care of. All of my items arrived in great condition. They were accommodating to my needs and ensured that I was happy with the placement of all my furniture before they left.

We called after hours and our call was returned immediately by owner Derrick. Although it was the last week before school started, Derrick was able to accommodate us. Movers Robert and Pablo arrived early and took care of everything, handling and wrapping items well. The apartment was on the third floor with a very narrow stairway with sharp turns. Despite that, the movers worked at a rapid rate, even with heavy bookcases and a large sofa sleeper. The price was extremely fair, and the movers were professional and friendly.

Derek Greene, the owner of the company, was very prompt in returning my initial call and came as scheduled for the estimate for the move. Since the buyer of our house had some trouble with the closing, Derek was extremely flexible for the move itself. We changed it a couple of times. On the day of the move, Pablo, Michael and Ian showed up for the move on time. They were all polite, clean, friendly and hard workers. They wrapped all of the furniture in CLEAN moving blankets and sealed it with tape. The extra time for the protection of the furniture is important as there were no scratches or marks at the end of the move. We had everything boxed. They brought clothes hanging boxes and bars for us to borrow for the move. The boxes and furniture were loaded and unloaded for the move. The items were placed in the new home where we directed them to put them. Derek followed up afterwards to see if there were any problems and if I was happy.
Description of Work: Moved a 2313 Sq Ft household from Mesa to Gilbert. A month later they moved a 12 x 12 storage unit's contents from Apache Junction to Gilbert.

We needed someone to move large items from our old house to our new house. The items included a large Ikea bookshelf, a 52" LCD TV and stand, a BBQ grill, a fire pit, a dining room table and chairs, and 2 reclining couches. The owner was very prompt in replying to my request for a quote and we arranged for his company to do the move. The two men should up promptly and were in uniform so I could recognize that they were with the company. The two men worked carefully but efficiently. Everything was moved without damage and without a mess. The two men were courteous and did not waste time. The quoted price was accurate and everything went very well.

The owner called the day before to confirm the moving date and time. He was amenable to a slight addition to the items to be moved. The movers were on time and courteous. The moves were done efficiently but carefully.

Overall the experience was excellent, from Derek's first visit for the estimate until the guys drove down the street heading for their home base we could not have asked for better service. I hope we never have to move again, but if we do I know who we will call!!
Description of Work: I had Derek come by and give an estimate and I accepted it as it seemed the best of the ones I had talked to. I checked with him on the day prior to the move and he replied that he had 3 guys coming at 8AM the following day. They showed up on time and proceeded to work and never slacked off all day even though it was 108 degrees in the afternoon. They had to make an extra trip without complaint because we had more than the truck could hold on the first trip. Derek had told me that there was the possibility that could happen when he did the estimate. We provided lunch and all the water they wanted and they all thanked us for doing that.

The movers were professional, friendly, and efficient. We had a number of items that had not been correctly packed (or packed at all). But they were prepared. They used large moving boxes that they had in the truck to stack and pack our items for transport. Everything arrived in perfect condition. A wonderful moving experience.

Derek was awesome! He was very flexible as he understood our need to be budget friendly. Our apartment was unusually unorganized and the garage was full. We changed the date of the move 2 times and Derek was very polite and understanding of our situation. The crew of 3 were at our home 15 minutes early and finished the job in 4 hours. We had a few pieces of furniture that a previous moving company damaged and would not take care of. The guys not only handled them with care, but one of the guys brought in some wood glue and a screw driver to help fix it with us. Talk about going over and above. A couple of days after the move, Derek called to make sure all went well and offered to come back out to help if we needed it, even if it was short notice and for only an hour. My husband and I were VERY pleased with the company (we are hard core customer service people) and would recommend them to everyone and use them again if the opportunity came up. Thank you all!
Description of Work: Moved from a first floor apartment with an attached garage (used as storage) to a single story house. The company was asked to move all of our large items as well as anything that was fragile because of their reputation for taking care of such items.

Excellent job. Were able to schedule exactly when we needed and with short notice. They were very professional and flexible with time as we had to ask night before for them to come an hour later due to rental agent closing late. Were able to do the job faster and for less money than estimated in quote. No add on charges or hidden costs. Other company on Angie's List I called were not so helpful and had add-on costs for everything and not flexible on scheduling, plus estimated twice as long to move.

Derek told me he would be at my home at a certain time and was prompt. He also estimated the job at about an hour and it was completed in about 45 minutes. The furniture was handled very carefully and I didn't even have to remove drawers.The work was done by 2 men and I was completely satisfied.
Description of Work: Derek and his helper rearranged all of the furniture in my living room. Most of it was heavy oak and they didn't have a problem with anything. They were very helpful with suggestions and we tried different arrangements. I was very satisfied with the outcome and would use them again. They also make pick up and deliveries.

His crew was professional, courteous and definitely on time. They were sensitive about ensuring that the stoves (even the one for donation!) remained intact and without damage of any kind. We appreciated the work and time and would definitely consider them for future projects.

I was given an accurate estimate by the owner; the movers showed up exactly on time. They were careful with my possessions and were clean and polite. They were very helpful in unloading the furniture and placing it where I wanted it. I have used other independent movers before, but GET YOUR MOVE ON exceeded my expectations. I recommend them fully.
Description of Work: Two men and a truck from GET YOUR MOVE ON worked for $85 an hour (plus a $65 trip fee) to move a household from Avondale to Scottsdale.

When I realized my flooring was going to be delivered on Halloween and that the trucking company could only put it in the garage, I was concerned. I did not want to leave my car out on Halloween. The flooring needed to be in the house as it needs to be at the same temperature as the house for a week prior to install. I had no one to help me move it (husband out of town, of course), so I checked the list for movers. I only had one day to call movers. I called a few, but Derek answered right away. He was in the middle of a job, but called back as soon as he was finished. He was able to come the next day and arrived within 1/2 hour of the flooring delivery. He and his helper worked very efficiently. They were very pleasant and professional. The minimum was 2 hours at $75/ hour. The flooring was very heavy, but I had them move some boxes as well while they were here. They were great!
Description of Work: I needed 4000 pounds of flooring moved from the garage into the house.

I highly recommend using Get Your Move On. They gave a courtesy reminder call, showed up on time, were polite and professional, finished the work in a timely manner and charged a fair price. I have recommended their company to several people. One real estate company used them twice, as did a computer company, and both thanked me profusely for recommending them.
Description of Work: Get Your Move On moved boxes of office supplies, office furniture, and cubicle office dividers from one office to another site across town. They disassembled the cubicles and packed some of the boxes. The second site involved moving furniture to a second floor (stairs only, no elevator.)
