The bid was $2605.00 for the job and the final bill was $175.00 above that, equaling $2780.00. This would be an acceptable amount except for the fact that the items in our garage and some items in one of the bedrooms would not fit on the truck they sent out. The estimate was $500.00 to $600.00 additional to send a second truck to pick up and deliver the remaining goods. The total would then have been $$3300.00 - $3400.00. We had not budgeted for the cost of an additional truck and we had to decline. After a phone conversation with one of the owners we ended up paying $2500.00 for the one truckload, but we still had the expense of moving the remaining items. It is for this reason we are giving a grade of D for the price. As for the move itself.....Five fellows showed up, right on time, to load our belongings for the move from Phoenix to Flagstaff. They were the best moving crew we have ever had. Before this, we had moved 15 times in 47yrs, so we know something about moving since this is our 16th and hopefully last, move. These men were the epitome of professionalism & courtesy. Moving is an extremely stressful experience and each one of them was friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful. The following day, 3 of the five arrived in Flagstaff, again on time, to unload the truck and they did it in the same professional, courteous manner, relocating items when asked, using great care and good humor throughout the day. They are a very fine group of men and the move was much less stressful because of them. We would not hesitate to recommend them to family and/or friends.
Description of Work: We chose this company to move our 4 bedroom household of goods from Phoenix to Flagstaff. This company was 1 of 4 we had bid on the job. Their bid was the most attractive.

All was good. The estimate ended up being right on and the job was done very well. They sent four movers for loading and three for unloading. All items were well wrapped and protected. Truly and excellent job.

Derek contacted me after reading my review and gathered information about my situation. He called me and listened to what the issues were. He asked about specifics as well as how he could improve his process and company. I was very impressed It was clear that although there are negative situations that occur, these are taken very seriously. He made a sincere effort to reach out, understand, communicate and correct the situation. He refunded the entire cost of the move which I was not expecting. My only request at the time was that the discounts could have been applied. The refund for service was extremely generous. As I said in the first review, the work was completed and the young men who moved the items were very good. The company stood behind it's principles and I was really impressed. Derek treated me very respectfully and this is something I will remember in the future. Thank you very much for making this right.

My husband is a physician/hospital executive and we unknowingly got caught up in a real estate scam. We had already moved all of our furniture into the garage of what was supposed to be our "dream house" when we discovered that things weren't as they seemed. As advised by our attorney we needed out things moved out ASAP. I called "Get Your Move On" on very short notice to move our things to a storage locker 5 miles away. Thankfully, they were available to help us. These were the conditions: cash terms and they were available for 3 hours. On the phone the owner/manager raved about their packing skills. I explained that since we were moving our things to storage temporarily this wasn't a big concern. I just needed my things moved ? pronto. Apparently, I missed judged how much stuff we had and the movers spent a lot of time on wrapping, and as it turned out the cost was more than I bargained for because I didn't take enough cash out of the ATM for moving fees + tips and when I went back for more we had reached our daily limit. I explained to the movers that I would be happy to write them a check for the overage, give them a credit card in order to cover the expense and provide the moving guys a tip. They called the owner/manager for approval and not only did he say no, but he proceeded to lecture me and make us feel like we were a couple of irresponsible children and considering everything that we just went through with the real estate scam ? my husband lost his cool. The movers did not receive a tip that day and I felt extremely bad because they worked hard and gave up their day off to do our job. The next week I mailed a check to "Get Your Move On" for 150.00 but since I did not know the last names of the movers I was only able to write the first name "Rene" on the check. Did the movers do the job well? Absolutely. But the price was more and the management left such a bad impression on us it is now a story we share with friends.

Hi Member, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry about your experience. I will address each of your issues you raised. On short notice "emergency" moves we are required to accept only cash or credit card, especially if there is no destination address such as a move to a public storage. On moves scheduled in advance, we can always accept a check after the completion of the move and after satisfaction of the customer. You stated in your review that you miss judged how much stuff you had. Our policy is to pad wrap everything, all the time. This is the only way to move furniture without damaging it. We understand your urgency as moving is at an hourly rate. Our movers work hard and diligently in an expeditious way, to provide the most bang for your buck. However, we cannot cut corners on wrapping belongings because we are liable for your things once we begin to move them. When you called to explain, Roger politely went over the original conversation you had with him. I heard that call as I was in the office with him when the two of you had that conversation. I respectfully disagree with your characterization as "lectured." We ended up agreeing to take a check. Your move was back in July and you did not fill out our standard survey that is emailed the day after your move. You did not provide an email address when you scheduled your move. Had you done so, we would have reached out and come to an easy resolution. The objective of our surveys is to get our clients satisfaction level the day after a move where they can share about their experience and bring any issues to our attention. This allows us to handle the situation promptly and with integrity. Our goal is to show how passionate we are regarding customer service so that even if there are a few issues on the move, we still end up with happy clients. It sounds like there was only a few hundred dollars of discrepancy between your expectation and the actual cost. We would have gladly refunded that amount and made it right by you. We called the number you used for your move and it is disconnected. Since you have access to internet and this review, I invite you to call me at 602.820.3559. The crew was friendly, considerate and professional despite being out in the cold and rain. They showed care and took time to assemble and place furnishings right the first time offering expert opinions when asked but otherwise keeping chatter to the minimum. My only wish was that I could have offered them a better tip for their efforts.
Description of Work: In the midst of the hectic holiday season Roger and the crew made time to pack and move my two vaults from storage and set my things to good stead in my new place. The travel time to Queen Creek from Tempe to make delivery felt prohibitive but after comparing what other's would have charged I can voice no real complaint. Considering I arranged the move on the fly with very little advance notice I would have felt well-cared for at twice the price.

85255I purchased the Angie's List special for my adult daughter's move. After having read the previous comments and watching the video, I knew they'd be perfect for her since she's very "particular". After the move, she called to tell me that the movers were AMAZING and, as mentioned in the previous write ups, "they smelled fine". She said they were nice, clean, efficient and couldn't say enough about how impressed she was with their professionalism. There was a little bit of confusion as to the "dollar amount" of the services after exceeding the original "special", However, I spoke with the owner, Derek, and he immediately cleared up any potential issue and was very pleasant to deal with. I am THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED with this company and their owner. I would recommend to anyone needing movers. I know I'll certainly use them when and if the need arises. It went very well. I was pleased with the move.
Description of Work: They were on time and packed all the furniture so nothing was damaged. The price was a little high, but well worth it. They helped me rearrange my furniture so everything fit in our new smaller home. I would use them again, but hoping I will not be moving for a long time.

They were great! Fast, professional, and very careful with my belongings. They are the only moving company I will recomment to friends and family in the future.
Description of Work: The movers arrived 15 minutes early and were very professional. They had the entire apartment on the truck within an hour. This included wrapping all the furniture in blankets and plastic wrap. We drove to the new apartment across town and started unpacking. All the furniture was unloaded and setup within another hour.

Wow. They sent an email a couple days ahead with a bio of the three guys who would be movings us. The crew arrived 30 minutes early which was fine with us since we were eager to get started. The crew was clean, professional, polite and jumped in with easy humor. They hustled the entire time. I didn't even see them take a water break. They were mindful of the walls and doorways of both homes and were careful of all our belongings. Nothing was broken, or damaged. We pitched in a few family members to help and in the end we finished an hour under the estimated time. We highly recommend GYMO. We're so pleased with the service we have passed on thier information to both or realtor and some good friends who are moving soon.
Description of Work: Chose Get Your Move On based on Angie's List reveiws. We contacted Roger for an estimate. He called when on the way and showed up on time. Roger came out and gave us an estimate in person and had expected it to take about 6 hours to move from our 1700 sf house in Phoenix to Surprise.

These guys were AMAZING - !!! The move of our belongings was done on an extremely professional level by four guys who never stopped moving - they worked hard the whole day. From the moment they arrived (early!), they introduced themselves, asked for a tour of what was moving, and then started to work. There was never a time any of them stopped to take a break, they all worked hard and the process they used was well designed and well done. The first few hours of the move were spent wrapping our furniture and loading up the boxes to the truck - an amazing packing style from Rene keep that truck loaded to the 9's - It looked like we could have moved the whole neighbor hood at one point - there wasn't a missed spot to put an extra item. We knew from the start we had at least two trucks of stuff, and it would have been three if not for the packing talent. The care taken with our belongings was second to none - these guys wrapped everything and made sure to take care with it all. You truly get what you pay for, and the way this crew handled our furniture shows their professionalism.
Description of Work: Moved a three story house into a single level new build with three bedrooms full of furniture, two living rooms, a "monster" two piece desk and a new Norditrack treadmill - we had stuff in boxes all over as well, and really had a good deal of work to be done.

Both were fantastic - on time (actually early), clean, respectful, careful and hard working. I don't think they damaged one item. They owner under-estimated the time (and cost) of the first move but he held to his commitment and didn't charge me for the overage. In an industry where there are a lot of unscrupulous people and companies, these guys stand out as one of the most professional, reliable, respectable of them all. They value their customers more than most businesses I know and they treat you as if you might move once a week - even though they know they might not see you again for years. (talk about a great long-term perspective). I will recommend them to anyone I know that needs moving services.

Outstanding job by a great crew. Got to the home 2 days in a row, on time, and with a very friendly crew. Everyone was professional did exemplary work including packing up 30+ expensive art pieces. Will definitely work with GYMO again and HIGHLY recommend.
Description of Work: Get Your Move On's crew packed up and help move our 5200 sq/ft home. They helped move half the home 2 miles away and split the rest of the home into 2 storage packages for 2 later moves. They disassembled everything that was needed and did an outstanding job putting it all back together including 2 TVs and an entertainment center that was brand new.

I found this company on Angie's List and had my granddaughter arrange for moving services directly with them. Approximately a week prior to the move my granddaughter was contacted by email to confirm moving and time and then again the day before as a final confirmation of time. Amazing customer service. The crew of Mark, Clemente and Jacob were excellent. Showed up on schedule and worked diligently until the job was done. These guys had to go up and down three flights of stairs and still managed to complete the move in record time. New home was 40 minutes away from pickup location and the job was done in three hours. These guys were professional, courteous and moved quickly. Moved my granddaughter on the Labor Day holiday weekend. Three hours from start to finish.

I found them on Angie’s List. They were 3 guys working for 7 hours. They were courteous and professional. They took care of my furniture as if it was their own. Any questions I had they were more than happy to answer. They had the inventory list offer available but in my case I was the only one on the truck. Usually they do that if they are moving more than one person in a day. For me it was just put it on the truck, drive to the next house and take it out of the truck. They were in-fact 10 to 15 minutes early. They were good. I would refer them.

Get Your Move on showed up on time, very enthusiastic and did not slow down the entire day. They worked from 6:00 am until 4:00 PM without a break in our 100+ temperatures. All funiture was wrapped and protected, no items were damaged. An excellent experience from an excellent team.
