 + -1 moreFrost is a very business like company, phone calls were made before technician drove to the house, when part came in and next day appt. was made early, again with technician calling to confirm our appt. Initial phone contact was very pleasent and business like. The entire exchange was very satisfying. Problem solving on the part of the first technician was like a very efficient doctor asking questions to determine the cause of a problem.
Description of Work: My Maytag washing machine was overfilling intermittently and after several months of 6-7 overfills I called and promptly received an appointment with a technician who diagnosised the problem but said that the pressure switch was an unusual problem. The part was not available locally as the machine is an older model but as soon as it came in another technician quickly installed the new switch. After several weeks I can confidently say the problem was solved.

 + -1 moreFrost Appliance receptionist scheduled my appointed in a timely manner and the follow-up repair was also scheduled promptly. The workman, Chad, spent the needed time to explain my problem and gave me an accurate estimate of the repair. I was very pleased with the work.
Description of Work: I had a Jenn Air oven that had been repaired twice before by other companies and had continued to have problems. Chad was familiar with Jenn Air and was able to assess quickly what the problem was. The part took about a week to come in and then Frost called me promptly to schedule the follow-up repair. I was very pleased with the work and am delighted to have my oven functioning again.

Description of Work: Stove top and oven suddenly stopped working yet the light and clock still worked. They were able to fit us in same day and said the 9 year old stove had never been installed properly and the cord was loose. Oh my, never thought of pulling the stove out to check !

 + -1 moreThe two gentlemen that came out both times were one hundred percent friendly and professional. Jim the owner and Mickey. They were able to fit us in a day early and give us a specific time. They called and were at our house the next day to repair the dishwasher. We are excited to have it working again after five months of putting this off. They are great and we really feel we can trust them! We will always ask for these two guys. We are glad to know who to call when our appliances go out.

The repairman suggested that we take photographs of the work previously performed so that we could attempt to recoup some of our expenses in connection with fixing the problem. The work was done correctly, promptly, and professionally.
Description of Work: Repairman fixed problem created by previous repairman. Drainage hose in washing machine was not connected after earlier repair by another company. Frost Appliance repairman connected the hose.

 + -1 moreThe first person I spoke to at Frost Appliances was very pleasant and professional. She said the repairman would call me between 7:30 am - 8:00 am to give me an estimate of the time he would be at my house. He called right at 7:30, told me he would be there around 11:00 am, and showed up at a little before 11:00. Wow! Not only on time, but a little early! With every other service company, I've usually had to call to find out why they were so late. Chad was polite, friendly, but professional and very knowledgeable. I was extremely pleased with everything, and would definitely recommend Frost Appliances. I won't hesitate to use them again.
Description of Work: My year-old washing machine has always been noisy, but was making a louder-than-usual noise during the agitating cycle. Also, my dishwasher was leaking sudsy water. Chad, the repairman, checked out the dishwasher first and told me it was fine, however the problem was that a couple of the glasses in the dishwasher had some regular liquid dish-washing detergent on them. Chad explained that even a very small amount is not good for the dishwasher because it generates suds and the dishwasher can't get rid of them and the sudsy water will continue to leak out every time the dishwasher is used. He told me how to remedy the problem using a very small amount of cooking oil. Chad also checked out the washing machine thoroughly. He couldn't find anything wrong, but did adjust a small part, which helped somewhat. He said my washing machine brand is known for being particularly noisy.

 + -1 moreI got the name of Frost Appliance from this Angie's List and I called them. They scheduled someone for the next day (it was late afternoon when I called them) Mickey called about 1/2 hour prior to arrival and he was punctual. Very friendly, also provided info for replacement drawers for the refrigerator. I am most impressed that he had the parts with him. This is a Sears Kenmore refrigerator and I had the warranty up until a year ago and when you would have them come out to fix it - they never ever had the parts with and would have to schedule another time to come back and that usually took two or or three weeks. So, I am very pleased with Frost Appliance and Angie's List.
Description of Work: My ice maker in my refrigerator hasn't worked well in awhile and it had started to leak water out of it. Mickey from Frost Appliance installed a new ice machine and it seems to be working great.

 + -1 moreThe repair man called before arriving to make sure he was expected. He arrived when he said he would. I had already been told by the lady on the phone how much the job would be before I scheduled the repair. The fee was exactly what she said it would be. Also, she called me to tell me they had the part, and that I wouldn't have to find the model number of the refrigerator. Her call saved me a lot of trouble. The repair man was experienced, knowledgeable, and courteous. My repair was an easy one, but I would feel confident to schedule a more complicated repair with this company. Perhaps the price seems high to some, but I read the reviews here and felt that having a reliable repair with a trustworthy person was worth the money.
Description of Work: The fresh-food door of my large side-by-side refrigerator swivels on two small plastic parts called 'cams'. After 15 years of use, these parts shattered, and the door could no longer be opened and closed. The repair man opened the door, removed all the jars it contained, unscrewed the bolts that held the door on, and set the door down on the floor. He then replaced the two plastic cams on which the door swivels. He showed me how the cams lift and lower the door slightly. He bolted the door back on the refrigerator and replaced all the jars for me, because he could see that I had an injury and would have difficulty replacing everything myself.

 + -1 moreI was very pleased to have Frost Appliance & Repair come to my home for an appliance repair. The experience was favorable and I would use them again.
Description of Work: The dryer was making really bad noises; the technician took it apart and installed a new bearing. The noise continued, due to the age of dryer (20 yrs), so he said it was really not worth repairing. It needed a new motor and new pulley. He only charged for service call and not the part installed.

HE WAS OWNER OF COMPANY. HE LOOKED AT MY LEAKING ICE MAKER AND SAID I SHOULD REPLACE IT, SAID HE HAD REPLACEMENT ON TRUCK AND QUOTED ME A PRICE. I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE TOO MUCH AND TOLD HIM I COULD GET THEM ON THE INTERNET ABOUT $25.00 CHEAPER. HE GOT A LITTLE UPSET WITH THIS COMMENT AND SAID I SHOULD JUST BUY IT ON INTERNET AND INSTALL IT MYSELF. I SAID NO, SINCE YOUR HERE GO AHEAD WITH THE JOB. HE DID A PROFESSIONAL JOB, INSTALLED ICE MAKER IN ABOUT A HOUR, CLEANED UP AND DEPARTED. NO BIG COMPLAINTS WITH THIS COMPANY, WOULD PROBABLY CALL THEM AGAIN.
