Frost Appliance

He was very very efficient, he was very professional, and he did everything that needed to be done. It was difficult to figure out what was wrong with the thing, but he took every piece a part until he found what was wrong. He completed the whole job

Jim was prompt, knowledgeable and reasonable. He salvaged what could of been a waste of money in a couple of appliances. He came back to do a follow up repair a week later. We would use his services again and recommend him.

Called on 4/16 and scheduled an appointment to have micro-wave looked at. Five minutes later I received a call back from their Company stating that they don't make service calls for anyone North of Happy Valley. I live in Sonoran Mtn Ranch. Called the Company back and said I had gotten their number off of Angie's List and there wasn't anything on their site about their service areas's. The womans comment was have a nice day and she hung up.

I got two conflicting prices from them; one from their receptionist and the other from the service tech that came out. In either case, their price to actually fix my machine was too high so I am not going to call them again. I felt they took advantage of me with the $65 fee just to look at my washer. Then another fee that wasn't what we had discussed to fix it. I had to buy a new washer instead, because their price was almost the same as a new washer. They were prompt, came out the very next day and were on time.

One morning I noticed a hissing sound from behind my fridge. After looking with a flashlight, I could see a fine mist in the area. I wasn't sure if this was a gas leak or a refrigerator leak, so I called the gas company first to check. They came right away and confirmed it wasn't a problem with the gas, so I looked up fridge repair companies on Angie's List and found Frost Appliance. Around 9 a.m., I called Frost Appliance, and a helpful woman on the phone told me they could send someone out by noon. The technician called at 9:30 to let me know he was on his way. First, I liked that they set good expectations where timing is concerned. It's always nice when people arrive early in the window you're provided. On the phone, my technician Jim suggested I turn off the water to prevent any more damage to my floors. Wish I'd thought to do that sooner, but I appreciated having a few minutes less of water leaking from the fridge. Jim arrived around 9:45, within an hour after I first called the company. Impressive! When I answered the door, Jim introduced himself and made me feel comfortable right away. He seemed experienced, friendly and professional. After pulling out the fridge and examining the line, he told me it would be under $100 to make the repair. While he was working, I told him I was a new homeowner and wanted to learn anything I needed to know, so he showed me a different shut off valve for the cold water in the kitchen (separate from the main shut off to the whole house, which I had used) so I would be able to flush toilets, etc., if I just needed to turn off water to the sink or the fridge. The job was completed by 10:15 that morning, and I even know more about how my house works than I did before. Great experience!

I called and spoke with Anette who scheduled same day service for the afternoon. Technician showed up on time and inspected my fridge. Diagnosed the problem quickly and quoted a price fix of less than $100. I gave him the go-ahead and he fixed and was done within an hour. He was professional and polite and the fridge problem appears to be fixed. I would use them again. Good price; quality work; professional.

When I called Frost Appliances, I spoke with a very cheery, helpful woman named Annette. The tech, Chad, came out on time, was polite, helpful and professional. I recommend Frost!

I will never again do business with Frost Appliance. Detailed Version I was having a problem with the button on an in-wall combo microwave (microwave / oven). It seemed cheaper to fix the button than to replace the entire wall unit. When I first called them, they took my information and said they would have a technician get in touch with me. He called the next day to get the model number and description of the problem. After describing it all he told me that he was not sure they serviced my area (Despite them putting "Entire Area" for Service Area). He called me the next day to tell me that I was on the fringe of where they would service (I am on Baseline / Gilbert) and that he would check to see if they could get the parts. Two days later he calls back and says they have the parts and asked to schedule a time to come out. I asked for a price quote, he said he would get that too me later but first lets schedule. So I scheduled the appointment for "late afternoon" the following day. Around 11:00am the next day they call to say they are on their way. I try and explain that the appointment was for late afternoon and could he still come out at that time. He can't reschedule and says he will have to sit in the car at my house - so I reassign my tasks for the morning and head home. He quotes me $125 out the door. I say ok, and after he starts he explains that I have two options. I can help him remove the in-wall microwave or he will have to call out another tech and then the price would be $200. So I help him remove the microwave. He replaces the button and we put the microwave back in place. The first thing I notice is they ordered the wrong button. They got a stainless-steel one instead of a black one. When I mention this he shrugs and says they can't get the black one (He should have mentioned this before-hand). Next, he hands me the bill and is trying to charge me $140 when previously he said $125 out the door. Once he leaves I attempted to use the microwave. It is now making a loud grinding noise and the tray will not spin. I called Frost Appliance back and they tell me tough luck - if I want the tray fixed it will be an additional $150. Short version They ordered the wrong color part, didn't tell me before it went in, tried to over charge me, the microwave no longer works and they want another $150 to fix it again.

They were right here on time. I have used them a few times. I have a couple of rental houses. They are very good.

Chad came out and looked at the freon charge of the freezer side and it was basically empty. He charged it up and told me that it could fix my problem, but that it might not work for very long, but that it was cheaper to charge it than replace the compressor (and associated equipment) on these units. Unfortunately, it didn't work, it was colder, but still not performing. I had them come back out a couple of weeks later and replace the equipment for the freezer (basically all the internal workings of the equipment to cool). It wasn't inexpensive, but they were MUCH cheaper than others, and basically, my freezer is like new! They gave me credit for my first service call on this ticket, so that was really nice as well. Chad was knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. Incidentally, a couple of days later, I had an RO system installed and hooked up water to the existing line to the ice maker. It leaked. I called them back out to look at it, and even though it wasn't caused by their previous work, they didn't charge me for the service call! Now that is a way to keep a customer happy! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We appreciated the fact that we called about 9a in the morning, the technician was here by 12p the same day. We didn't have to move all the food out in order for him to diagnose the problem and he gave us a temporary fix till our part was in. He called to let us know when he would be arriving and then showed up when he said he would. A very professional experience!

Frost Appliance opens for business at 7:30 a.m. I like seeing that information on Angie's List. They called me back before 3 other companies I called that open at 7 a.m. Prompt scheduling, I was 3rd on today's list. Repairman gave a courtesy call when he was en route to my home with estimated arrival time which was accurate. Efficient and courteous worker, Jim cleaned the work area well upon completion. He left me the broken, replaced part which I appreciate, I'll throw it away later. I'm sure he would have disposed of it if that were my preference. A very minor thing, he forgot to push the washer back to it's original position about 8-10" but I am very happy with his service, I should have double checked that before he left. I will use this company again and recommend them to friends and neighbors. I asked for 2 of their cards.

Our dishwasher wasn't working and Frost came out and diagnosed the problem. The technician let me know the parts and labor would probably run around $300 and I decided I would just buy a new dishwasher instead of fixing the old one. The tech was very courteous and knowledgable and gave me good advice on our kitchen appliances. He also fixed our ice machine which was not dispensing cubed ice. Overall, my first experience with Frost was very positive and I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future for my appliance repair needs.

Great. Appliance tech arrived on time, put "booties" on so he wouldn't damage the floor. Found the problem right away, had the part with him, and from start to finish, it was about 45 minutes. He was even concerned and asked if it was ok if my cat went outside when he was coming in and out of the house.

The technician quickly diagnosed the transmission as the cause of the noise during the spin cycle. He estimated the cost of a new transmission, and marked the cost of the service call on the invoice as a deposit in case we wanted to repair. He called the next morning with the part number and cost. Due to the high cost and age of the machine (1989) we decided not to repair. We have temporally eliminated the noise by running spin on 'fast.'

They were on Angie’s list and I was very pleased with them. They will be coming back to fix another thing for me. I rate him high overall. They were very friendly all the way around and the guy diagnosed the problem. He did not try to sell me something that he could not give me. He did a good job.

My tenant had complained that her washing machine agitator was dribbling a milky liquid into her wash load. She also said that the agitator did not agitate during her rinse cycle. I was unable to pull the top off the agitator, but I felt the liquid was probably accumulated fabric softener. I was unable to replicate the other problem. I called Frost Appliance based on their Angie's List rating and customer comments. They were very pleasant and were able to schedule a visit the next morning. Dave arrived well within the window scheduled, listened carefully to me and went to work. He ran the washer through a full cycle but was not able to replicate the problem, but urged me to call back if it happened again. He also took the agitator apart and thoroughly cleaned it.

Technician figured out the problem, ordered the part, returned to install it. Pleasant, knowledgeable, did a great job.

The repairman came on time, diagnosed the problem and then fixed the problem on the spot.

Called to say the broiler element on my electric stove had burned out. Gave them model no. They called back w/in a half hour to say they could order the part, that it would arrive next business day, and the total price for install and part. I gave them the go ahead. They then called back with delivery day and approx. time. Next day called early with more specific time. They came on time, installed the element and left a voucher for $10 next service call. Broiler works fine.

On par with Murphy's Law, I opened our refrigerator on a very busy holiday weekend to discover suspiciously warm contents. After eliminating the obvious suspects, I searched Angie's List for an appliance repair service and found Frost Appliance had top billing. I phoned them on a Tuesday afternoon and had a technician at my door before 11 am the next day. Chad was very knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue. As it happened, a wire to the defroster had become disconnected and an ice berg had enveloped the cooling system. Chad suggested a solution to ensure that the debacle won't be repeated and had the whole project wrapped up in just over 30 minutes. Excellent customer service and quick action saved us a good deal of grief. It is immediately apparent to me why Frost Appliance has such a high rating here.

We signed up for Angie's List after hearing a commercial on TV. We went to the List and picked a company in our neighborhood that had some good feedback. We called them and they were going to come out a day later but called back and said they had a cancellation and came the same day we called them. We couldn't have been happier with the service.

I called Frost on a Monday morning & was given an afternoon appointment time for a repairman to check the problem with my Maytag washer not draining out water from the tub. Chad called before arriving that same afternoon. He identified the problem quickly & had a new part on his work truck. He was able to repair the problem quickly & was very neat when doing the repair (no mess to clean up afterwards.) He gave me the 10% parts discount for being with Angie's list. He could have sold me more items that I asked about (ie. the belt & hoses) but he did not think that I needed to replace anything other than the pump. VERY honest. I will certainly call on Frost Appliance Repair in the future when I have the need.

Great business. Great service. with a super nice technician to do the job.

Instead of charging me 500 dollars to replace all the parts, he recommended the cheaper option of using a product for hard water.
