Dorene and crew remodeled my small, 2 bedroom, 1 bath rental home. She helped me select paint colors and fixtures. She provided estimates from her work crews and told me when to make payments to keep the work going. Although it took longer than anticipated, there was a lot to do in each room of the house. Dorene also took the photographs and posted the advertisements. She even confronted a conman on Craigslist. She vetted a good tenant and provided lease paperwork. Dorene is a real pro.

This is the first time we have worked with Dorene since our renters moved out in September. She is very thorough in helping us to get the house ready. She is very detail oriented and has all kinds of sub-contractors to help getting the job done. We feel like she has our best interest in mind. She guides us through every application and give appropriate advice if the offer is good or not, if we should counter or leave it as is. She seem to have good instinct that comes from years of experience, we trust her advice. We would recommend her to everyone especially the out-of-town property owners.

I looked up Angies list and found First Road Properties. I thought it was a group of people but its just one lady. So we conferred, she looked at the properties made recommendations I agreed to 95% of the suggestions. Did a little paperwork and then things went up tempo right away. She has people knocking all these projects out. So to be brief the both properties were shipshape in about a month each. The prospective tenants she found for me were very good. So now both properties are rented out to very nice people and my rents are the highest in my area. I could command this amount because the properties looked that good. So yes, I would recommend her. My only regret is that it took me so long to do this in the first place.

Dorene has the responsibility of locating new tenants for the rental property I own and securing the amount of rent needed. The rental market in my area in Phoenix, AZ is very competitive so this is no easy task. Her professionalism, experience and astute market sense has over the years provided great tenants who stay well beyond their initial year lease. I do not remember any time that she has failed in any part of her contract with me. She communicates immediately when I contact her and always follows through with solutions to any issue that may occur. Dorene has been an invaluable advisor throughout the process. First outlining our options when we were evaluating to rent out condo full-time or sell. Had we decided to rent out, we would have needed to update condo, and Dorene had great ideas and ability to provide contractors at reasonable cost, as well as supervise construction ( a necessity since we live out-of-state). In the end, we decided to sell, and Dorene has facilitated the process in the most professional manner. She is always available for phone calls, responds quickly to emails, explains intricacies of Arizona real estate, and follows up relentlessly (in a good way). Also has very good knowledge of local market and excellent network. We had an issue with buyer´s lending institution (not buyer) being extremely slow and delaying close. Dorene was able to engage her network across the US, to get some progress, and action to bring about close as near to date as possible. Dorene has been amazing. She is very knowledgeable and gave us good advice as we considered renting out (with or without renovation, renovating and selling or selling as is. She also has a good network of providers (carpet, tiling, HVAC, remodeling, clean-out etc.) for getting cost estimates, or in our case do make minor repairs before we sold our unit as is. Dorene did good market research to understand the best pricing for our unit and was very professional, diligent and excellent at following up through what turned out to be a tough and complicated sale process - that will hopefully finally close within the next week. I would definitely use Dorene again and I highly recommend her.

Dorene is the consummate professional with a uncommon personal touch. She has consulted with us about renting out a 2nd home furnished, researching the comps and providing lease options on what would work best for us. After using Dorene to successfully rent out our property for the last five years, we finally decided to sell our house. Dorene helped make the sales process go as smoothly as possible. Living out of state (in Ohio), we relied solely on Dorene for our 'eyes and ears' in order to get the house 'move-in ready'. And she fights for her customers- case in point, when the title company forgot to provide all of the necessary forms to hand sign until the day before closing, Dorene stood up for us big time with the title company, so much so that the title company quickly refunded many of their fees directly to us as a result of their mistakes, but only as a result of Dorene's involvement. Management of Repairs: Dorene visited the property and made recommendations for repairs and improvements. She took many detailed pictures for me, and we discussed my options. Dorene has a little black book of repair people she uses and trusts and arranged for them to come and give me estimates. I communicated and negotiated directly with these workers, paid them directly, and bought supplies (Home Depot) directly, so there was no mysterious mark-up on the costs. Dorene was my "eyes on the ground" since I couldn't be there, directed me to the best deals and diligently scheduled and supervised the various workers that came to the property. When complete, the place looked fabulous! I didn't even recognize it! Disposition: Dorene provided me with ample sale comps of similar condos in the area, as well as rental listings. We decided to list it for lease and for sale, and see what happens. I had a sale offer in a couple of days and was in escrow within the week. Dorene guided me through both the negotiating and escrow process. She also arranged immediate repairs in response to inspection issues that the buyer identified. This process went very smoothly and quickly. She called and updated me daily. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Dorene. She is very professional and was patient with my insistence for cheap. She is reliable and organized, and she made a very stressful situation for me less worrisome. Thank you, Dorene!

We decided to sell a rental property Dorene was managing for us. It needed some updates and repairs and she was there almost daily during the month-long preparation process overseeing everything down to the last detail such as making sure plants were watered and looked good. Some interested neighbors came through while the workman were working on the house and she sowed up the deal for us at full price before we actually listed the property.

Dorene was great as I live in Chicago and I needed someone to find a tenant for my property in Scottsdale. I found Dorene on Angie's List and she lived up to her reputation. Dorene not only helped me get a difficult tenant out of my property, but also handled the departure walk through. Dorene let me know that my property looked both dated, and abused from my old tenant and she recommended a complete renovation. I trusted her recommendation and ended up using Dorene as my general contractor. Between her contacts/recommendations and my online use of Yelp and Angie's list we hired various companies to do a new foam roof, all new tile floors throughout, carpet in upstairs bedroom, new paint throughout, brand new entire kitchen and 3 completely new bathrooms, custome closets, new lighting inside and out and landscaping. Dorene would make recommendations on everything from faucets to granite or cabinets and then I would make final selection by looking at recommendations online. She ran the show and did all the work while in the middle of eye surgery. It took 3 1/2 months but in the end it turned out great and Dorene also found me a new tenant at $1050 more per month than my old rent. A couple of the subcontractors ended up being difficult but everything got worked out in the end and I'm sure Dorene learned who to use in the future and who to stay away from. I look forward to working with Dorene again in the future!

The most current issue is a relatively minor one and we're still in the process of resolving it, however I have no doubt it will be taken care of quickly. Our rental unit has a defective sprinkler in the yard (which is maintained by the HOA) who has yet to fix it. When our tenant contacted Dorene, she suggested the tenant talk to the work crew (which has always gotten us results in the past) and then helped the contact the HOA to stay on top of it. We recently had to replace a dishwasher there as well and thanks to her contacts, we were able to get a reduced price on the machine.

Doreen was Fantastic. She gave me current information regarding selling my property. Not only that, she put me in contact with her network to get property ready for sale. I recommend her highly and will use her company in the future. One of the best agents I have ever had the pleasure doing business with!!!

Dorene did a great job finding a respectable renter. she showed the house and found a renter within 10 days. Hopefully moving forward the tenant and i can have a good long history. Thanks to Dorene. One other bit of information, she does find the tenant but you the owner will take care of any issues with house. So either have a home warranty for your place or use your angie list to take care of any future problems.
