Dorene was EXCELLENT! I was so very impressed with her. Although we didn't meet, she performed the job at hand with promptness, professionalism, and skill. We needed a contract with our tenants, as we decided to get rid of our property manager who had done a very poor job of managing our property. She did exactly what we wanted, in the timeframe we gave her, and couldn't have been more responsive. And after we had gotten the paperwork and I had paid her, a change needed to be made to the contract. She immediately sent the revised pages to us, no charge, with the notation that if we needed anything more, let her know.I would recommend her for any real estate needs, as she is the real thing. Hopefully, one day, we will meet!

After years of renting my rental property through Property Managing Companies & Realtors, or as I like to refer to them more accurately as ?Mismanagement Companies? who took my money, yet allowed tenants to destroy my property to the tune of thousands of dollars in repairs out of my pocket, I had given up on ever finding any competent company. Someone that was honest, dependable and fair. I contacted First Road Property Advisors. I keep pinching myself, as I can?t believe that there still are people like Dorene that go all out to keep landlords and tenants alike happy and worry free. Dorene is a Professional with a capital P. She is courteous, trustworthy, polite and ethical, a very rare individual in today?s business world! Dorene handles every aspect personally. I live in California and I am required by AZ Law to have my rental property professionally managed. Dorene took care of everything, she marketed my house, found a wonderful tenant, did a background check and provided me with his references for me to check and approve. She bent over backwards to make sure the house was impeccably clean. This is a woman that took it upon herself to personally go to my property and clean the garage herself as the cleaning crew I hired, had not managed to remove some minor stains on the concrete floor. She purchased cleaning products and used her elbow grease to remove some water stains that remained in both bathrooms and removed calcification caused by Arizona?s hard water from all the faucets in the house, that the cleaning crew could not remove. Dorene also vacuumed the entire house over again, a second time, after it had been professionally cleaned by an upscale cleaning company I had used for years. Dorene did this herself and never asked for additional money, NOT ONE CENT! When was the last time your property management company did that for you on their dime and without you prodding them to do it over? She is a perfectionist! Dorene was at the property to welcome the new tenant who was transferring from the East Coast to AZ. She kept me abreast of the entire process by daily calls and emails. She went so far as to personally hand over the keys to the tenant on Easter Sunday and make sure the transition went smoothly. This woman is a GEM! She needs to be cloned! If I decide to purchase additional real estate or investment properties or decide to sell my house, Dorene is the only person I would trust to handle all my real estate and investment property needs. All the ?other? Property Management & Real Estate Companies, should be required to learn what it means to nurture and maintain an excellent rapport with both tenants and landlords, especially if the landlord cannot be present or lives out of state and has property in Arizona. First Road Property Advisors, LLC will still be standing when all the other shady property management companies are long gone out of business. Customer care is what Dorene and her company is all about. I now have 100% peace of mind for the first time in years, knowing that my property is cared for as if I were there myself. I would and do recommend her highly.

We requested a quote for property management of a rental property. Since this is our first rental, we were uncertain of the process and requirements. In talking with a number of property management companies, we found First Road Property Advisors to be exceptionally accommodating and thorough. Dorene walked us through several scenarios for our property so we'd understand the pros and cons of each. The only reason we didn't go with First Road Property Advisors is because, at the last minute, our daughter asked to rent the house, so no property manager was needed. If we find ourselves in a position where we need to find a new tenant, First Road Property Advisors will be our first call.

Dorene was professional and very timely in feedback, analysis and suggestions for each offer. Overall, we were pleased with her service to ready the property and her assistance in finding renters for our home. One event caused her to take a trip to the local hardware store and save us money in solving a problem. This was a huge value being out of state.

UPDATE- from 2015- we decided to sell our house, and Dorene helped make the sales process go as smoothly as possible. Living out of state, we relied solely on Dorene for our 'eyes and ears' in order to get the house 'move-in ready'. She handled everything, and made all the necessary phone calls to help us out, along with making herself available at the house as needed. Within two months, we sold our house, and we couldn't have done it without Dorene's help. Her attention to detail and persistent follow-up really makes her invaluable. And she fights for her customers- case in point, when the title company forgot to provide all of the necessary forms to hand sign until the day before closing, Dorene stood up for us big time with the title company, so much so that the title company refunded many of their fees as a result of their mistakes, but only as a result of Dorene's involvement. If you want or need to sell (or rent) your home in the East Valley, I would highly recommend using Dorene and First Road Properties. She easily gets an A+ from me. (Original review- from 2013) Living 1800 miles away, and needing to rent out our home, I needed someone I could count on. So, I went to Angie's List and Dorene from First Road Properties had the highest grades, so I knew who I wanted to work with. Due to a job change, I only had a two day window to fly into town, get the keys from our previous tenants, and then get the ball rolling on getting the house ready for new tenants. I met Dorene and could tell that she knew her stuff. She had all of the necessary contacts (handyman, etc.). She gave helpful recommendations and I left town trusting that our home was in the right hands to get rented again. I really wanted someone that would be thorough and would follow-up without requiring me to call back multiple times, etc. Dorene was perfect in this regard. She would call, leave e-mails, and/or sent text messages to keep me updated on all things with the progress of our home getting rented. This was very helpful given the two hour time difference for us to deal with. Once a viable tenant was identified, Dorene handled all of the necessary paperwork (again, an area that she earned her worth) in a timely fashion. Overall, I would highly recommend using Dorene for all real estate needs in the Valley. She is professional, knowledgeable, organized, and follows up like nobody's business! Given we anticipate renting our home for years to come, we'll certainly use Dorene for all of our future rental needs.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE is the only way to describe Dorene Longfellow with First Road Property Advisors. This post is an update to my initial post from 2013. Since then, this company has provided comprehensive management for our rental home in the Arcadia area. She has now rented the home for a second time. Always by the book, making sure all the proper paperwork and contracts with tenants are signed. The first tenants were terrific and the new tenants appear to also be very good. The home was not even vacant for a month before the house was cleaned and re rented. Dorene establishes great communication with the tenants, always has great communication with us. Jumps on any problem that might arise to make sure the home is always in the best condition. We could not be more impressed or grateful for her expertise and hard work. (No wonder the local CBS news station turned to Dorene for her expertise in their news report on rentals this year!) Thank you, Dorene! FIRST Review 2013 GREAT SERVICE. I don't even know where to begin. Dorene Longfellow is a one of kind property manager! We have a rental property we needed to fix up and rent. We are often out of state so finding someone smart, reliable, responsible is imperative. Dorene met us at the house, reviewed repairs we might want to make to get the highest quality renter and the best price. She then found great, reasonably priced contractors to come in and completely remodel the bathroom, completely paint the interior and the weathered paint trim on the outside. Found the best price on carpet and we put in new carpet in the bedrooms. Even changed out a few light fixtures and added a few dimmers. They all did an outstanding job. And had a sense of pride in their work! Dorene also found someone to fix up the yard. I am normally a control freak, but Dorene instills such confidence and it was well deserved. Everything is now perfect and ready to rent. She has now taken beautiful pictures of the property, added the perfect description for the listing and has posted the rental on the MLS, Zillow as well as the other "go to" websites for maximum exposure. We have just listed today! Dorene's fee is very reasonable, and we look forward to working with her in the future as well. Dorene's GREAT reviews are well deserved. She is amazing. I looked for her because of a really negative experience with another company. She was above and beyond anything I have ever had in 30 years. She talked about increasing the rent, talked about the details, renegotiated the lease on the other side of the duplex and made some corrected some errors left by the former company, interviewed clients and kept me up to date on the applicants. She also gave me an MLS report to show competition in the neighborhood everyday. She even swept the patio. She would drive a long distance form her office and never complained. When you are the property owner trying to find a tenet, you get the sense that the real estate agent is siding more with the tenet, but she kept a fine balance between us.

Dorene is in communication with me on a daily basis by phone and email. She has supervised repairs, new appliance installations, the former tenant moving out and screening of new tenants. She is very professional, and works very hard. I have had rental properties listed with other realtors and can say Dorene has worked harder than any of them. I highly recommend her!

.My elderly father was having trouble with his former property manager and couldn't find anyone who was willing to take on a mixture of small commercial and residential rentals. I gave him the name of three property managers I found on Angie's list, and he chose Dorene. Dorene handled a very tricky transition from the former property manager with diplomacy, discretion and professionalism. She introduced herself to all the tenants and got to know them and learned what they liked about the building and what changes could enhance their experience of living there. A few inexpensive changes were implemented, and addressed some safety issues that had been neglected. She has also energetically and creatively marketed a beautiful office building. Although it's a very competitive market for office space for Phoenix right now, Dorene has researched the building, and conducted at least two marketing campaigns. We are hopeful that her efforts will soon come to fruition. Dorene is completely transparent and forthcoming with her client, and, at his request, me. She provides him with a complete accounting of who has paid what each month as well as expenses. She is also very respectful of my father and listens to my father and complies with his instructions. So far we are very pleased with her work and recommend her highly.

Dorene handled turning a messy, recently vacated house into a rent-ready property and got it rented out all under the space of one month - I was anticipating a much longer haul than that, but she was always on the ball and quick to update me as to status changes with the property. When there was an issue with a contractor, she handled it quickly and went so far as to clean the house herself when she was dissatisfied with work performed. She also went above and beyond to find a trustworthy tenant that would be suitable for my house, and would carefully inspect tenant information before recommending them.

Dorene called or emailed daily to give me an update on what was happening. Dorene is the owner/broker and handles everything personally. Her service and followthrough was absolutely first class. We will have a long-term business relationship.

Fabulous! Dorene goes way beyond the basic requirements of the job. As an example, she made a special trip over to our place to work with the landscaping company when they were available on cleaning up the front and rear yard. She was able to get them to do additional work that's not a part of their regular duties and established a relationship with them going forward that will likely lead to more attention from them. She stays right on top of the situation and has offered excellent suggestions and ideas on ways to deal with some of the problems we've had with our 2nd home. We are absolutely delighted with her diligence and ability to get things done and would heartily recommend her to anyone in need of property management services.
