Working with Clarence and Jackie was a pleasure. They were responsive to all my needs and were easy to make appointments with. Jackie does a great job scheduling the appointments and handling all the billing. When Clarence came out the first time to discuss the scope of the project, he took a lot of notes and went over the notes with me at the end to make sure we were on the same page. He made some great suggestions like putting a light in a hallway that was being built. I didn't even think about how dark it would be in the hallway without a light. He made several suggestions like that. He always showed up right at the appointment time and went straight to work. The work he did was quality work and I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend C Read and Sons electric. You wont regret hiring them to do your electrical work.

This is the second time I have used this provider. They are going to be my go to for all my electrical needs. They never try to up-sell me on things that I don't need. If Clarence needs to do something extra that he did not realize when he gave me the estimate he usually does not charge me the full price for the additional work. He shows up on time and does quality work. The first time I used Reid and Sons was when I bought my house. The inspector told me that I need to have my electrical box grounded to my pipes. Well in Ahwatukee, the majority of the pipes are pvc and not metal. You don't ground to plastic pipes. I had a couple other electricians come out to provide an estimate before Clarence. The first one agreed with the inspector and said I needed to ground my box to the pipes (wrong!). The second one tried to tell me that because the lights dimmed every time I used my microwave I needed to completely rewire and upgrade my electrical box and fuses. He also wanted to ground to my plastic pipes. When Clarence came out he said that grounding my pipes was not necessary since they are plastic. He also said that it was not necessary to get a new electrical box etc due my microwave. It is so nice when you find someone who does not try to scare you into buying products and services you don't need. It is also nice to find someone who knows you don't ground to plastic pipes:) What most people don't realize is that you will get more business and make more money by not overcharging and using scare tactics because you will get referrals and good word of mouth. Bottom line, I whole heartedly endorse Reid and Sons because they are honest with no B.S! which is so refreshing now a days.

Clarence was very professional, efficient, and gave great customer service. His wife even dropped off a part because I had told her the wrong color.

The wires from home to hot water heater were burning. After looking at the connection he knew immediately what it was. We ordered new hot water heater and will have him come out to install the electrical when it arrives. First point of contact, Jacki, friendly and courteous. Arrived on time, informative and very nice. We will use him for any future electrical needs. Thank you Clarence.

I bought the lights & fan myself; Clarence came out a week ahead for preview & estimate. The installation all went perfectly on the scheduled day. But then one of the motion lights I'd bought turned out to have a defective sensor, so I got a new one and Clarence returned and swapped it out the next day. We are very pleased with all the work that was done.

It ended up being more complicated than originally anticipated but that wasn't because of Clarence. We needed to have other work done in order for him to do the work (to have access to the line). Clarence was incredibly patient & helpful for a job that required that he return several times. The work was high quality & quick, once he was able to have access to the problem.

Clarence and Jackie Reid worked with us in advance by reviewing e-mailed photos of the various proposed improvements. They provided valuable advice to us on selecting lighting materials and on the day of the installation, Clarence arrived on time and worked steady with good discussion and resolution of problems with us as the job progressed. We would not hesitate to engage C Reid & Son for any future electrical work. We were dealt fairly on pricing for a quality job.

Clarence completed work within 40 minutes, while he answered questions I had at several points during his work. The dishwasher and garbage disposal now function and there is no overheating at the outlet.

I would highly recommend this contractor. I contacted about 3-4 contractors to determine a ballpark on the price. C Read & Son Electric was the friendliest and interpersonal interaction and one of the lower prices. I emailed them pictures of the scope so there was no need to waste time or need an initial visit for an estimate. On the day of the scheduled work, Clarence came in and performed very professionally. He fixed all issues within 1-1.5 hours and did not exceed the expected amount that I was originally quoted. I did a quick examination (because I had another contractor at my place providing a quote) and he cleaned up well and left. I did discover one small scope of work that was not done (replace outlet cover). I emailed C Read & Son and although I indicated it was not urgent, Clarence came back the following day to completed the repair. Very friendly and high customer service.

I had a loud popping sound that was happening intermittently when I would turn on some wall switches and a ceiling fan. I was worried that I might have a serious and expensive problem. I scheduled an appointment and Clarence was prompt and very professional. He took the time to listen to me and quickly diagnosed the problem as the ancient 1980's hard-wired smoke detector in my hallway. He did not have a replacement one with him, but we scheduled a second appointment for him to come back to change out the detector. His pricing was very fair and included the cost of the detector. I am very pleased with this company and would definitely contact them again when I need the services of an electrician.

Top notch service from start to finish. I was initially concerned that dry wall would need to be cut into and subsequently replaced, but Clarence took the time to find a work around which involved not damage or dry wall cutting. Finished job looks excellent and price was slightly lower than original quote. Would not hesitate to use C Read Electric again.

I am pleased with the work that was done. C. Read & Son Electric offered a free estimate, and the price was fair. Scheduling quickly followed. The work was professionally done and in a timely manner. Clarence even replaced an unexpected part when he found a fan duct (for new light/fan combination) did not meet current regulations, asking Jackie to bring him the part so he could continue working. I found both Clarence and Jackie knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and courteous. I plan to use this company again in the future!

Clarence arrived at exactly the time he said he would in the morning. He put a cloth tarp down in each area he worked at so there wouldn't be a mess. He knew exactly what he was doing. He was very professional. I was charged exactly the amount estimate was for. I will use again.
