Great work at a great price. Paid much less than same service at a larger company.

Owner/electrician Clarence was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. He arrived when he said he would and it was a pleasure dealing with him. The electrical issues were resolved. He recognized we had a faulty GFI installed and checked the wiring throughout the house at a reasonable price. We will certainly call C Read and Son Electric for any future concerns

We received an estimate of $500 to $700 from another electrician to install one ceiling electrical box and wire it to our wall switch. We hired C READ & SON ELECTRIC instead to do this work plus install two additional ceiling electrical boxes and an outdoor weather-proof outlet, all for under $700. Clarence showed up as scheduled and completed all four jobs in a few hours. He is meticulous about doing the job right and we are extremely pleased that we hired C READ & SON ELECTRIC to do our electrical work.

He was right on time for a quote and came up with a plan for the installation with a great price. He was courteous and very detail oriented. He showed up on time and did an excellent job. He exceeded my expectations!

I requested a quote and within a few minutes had a phone call. She walked us through some troubleshooting and found the issue. The quick, courteous service was very much appreciated. If we should need actual service in the future, I will contact them first for sure.

Price quoted was very competitive. Jacki was able to schedule the work in my off day. Clarence the electrician, showed up on time, in the window given, with all the supplies needed. Took a couple of hours and added the outlet I needed, at the right location. Added the circuit breaker to the outlet, and a 50A fuse. Cleaned up after he was done. Now, I am able to charge my car at home! Thank you Clarence and Jacki! Will definitely hire you again, if I need anything electrical done.

I had four electrically-related jobs that I needed completed back in Nov & Dec of 2018, i.e., a bathroom light switch replaced; a bathroom vent fan replaced; an indoor atrium electrical outlet replaced; and two garage door lights replaced, with the addition of a timer switch for the lights. The immediate challenge for me was that we were having guests in our home, so I needed the bathroom light switched repaired ASAP. Although Clarence was booked with other jobs, he and his wife (who does the scheduling) made a special effort to immediately repair the switch – and then scheduled the other jobs for later in the month. Needless to say, I very much appreciated their responsiveness to my more emergent need. Clarence was very easy to work with and did a great job in each of the areas. I asked him to select the appropriate bathroom vent fan, which he did. The install required new venting – which was not as easy as we had anticipated. Clarence did a great job and we love the vent fan!!! I would highly recommend him for your electrical needs. He is responsive and dependable – and does a great job. We have been completely satisfied with his work!!!!

Fast, friendly, and reasonably priced.

Clarence found the problem very quickly. It turned out to be a GFCI underneath a gas bbq in the back yard which he reset and it resolved the lighting situation. He only charged me half his normal service call rate which was a nice gesture.

Clarence arrived exactly on time, fixed the problem and then discounted the charge below his minimum because he worked so fast. I certainly was prepaired to pay the minimum and was very impressed with his discount. You just don't find this kind of integrity very often!

They were spot on with what I wanted but booked solid. I ended up doing it myself otherwise this would have been the contractor I used. I'll have other project over the next few years and will no longer go out to bid but just book C Read and Son. Jacki, communicated with me constantly and their professionalism was spot on!

The breaker was bad. At first we thought it was the pump. He replaced the breaker. No charge.

Went out of their way to make the schedule work for me on short notice. Arrived right on time. I had purchased the wrong size down rod for the fan, but it was special to order to match the finish of the fan. Clarence cut it down to size saving me a lot of hassle and extra trip charge. Highly recommend.

He was very precise and thorough. He did an excellent job in everything he did. His wife Jackie is a wonderful assistant to her husband. It was a pleasure working with both of them. Kudos to both. We would hire him again.
