C & L Tile

Chris Grillo was great to work with and his team did an excellent job. Five different types of Mexican tile were used in the installation which was about 1500 square feet. They all did great work with a positive attitude. These guys worked non stop for six days and the quality shows. Highly recommend C&L tile.

This was a very good experience. I supplied the tile, and received a very reasonable quote for labor. They were quick to reply, arrived early, and did good work. Not much more to ask for in a tile repair job!

They were terrific. Chris came on time, and he actually gave me a price on the spot since it wasn?t a huge job. They were also on time when they did the work. They were very clean. We paid $850 for the beautiful wildfire slate. Actually, they got us a better price than we could from a wholesale place. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future, if necessary.

From the moment we called C & T tile, we were very impressed. Chris Grillo responded to our call, came to our home within two days to provide an estimate, was extremely punctual, and one of the most professional, nicest contractors with whom we have worked. The day of the scheduled work, he came back to our home with Dan who did the scheduled work as instructed by Chris. Dan was extremely methodical and careful. We were also extremely impressed with their follow up call. We noticed one line of grout that had been missed. Chris sent Dan back within 24 hours to make the needed repair. Our invoice for the completed job was exactly as estimated. We would highly recommend this company!

Outstanding - Perfect. I'm in the commercial real estate industry and have access to contractors and sub contractors. Of the 13 subs/contractors we hired for this job, no one was more professional, prompt and fair than Chris. More important to me than price (which was very fair), was Chris' continued willingness to make the job PERFECT. I am very particular (my wife jokes OCD) and Chris was always willing to work to make every detail acceptable. In addition, Chris personally visited our home at the start of every job to introduce his employees, explain the work and then followed up (at least 5 visits). This always impressed me. I interviewed 3 tile contractors - save your time and money, use Chris and C&L. Our next projects with C&L include repairs to a slate walkway and a new bathroom (all tile)

Workers arrived on time and began removal of old tile. Encountered several problems with the subfloor which created unplanned additional labor but they kept saying, "we just want to do the job right and for you to be happy" Owner, Chris Grillo spotted a couple of loose tiles in the kitchen and the fireplace hearth that he re-grouted at no cost as well as having his carpet man come in to retack the bedroom seam where it joined the tile. He also restretched carpet in three other places in the house. Talk about going over and above what was expected. Chris also recommended another Angies Lister for our granite countertops...we are delighted!

I left a message for Chris and he returned the call promptly and came out to give me an estimate. I scheduled the service the following day and he brought a tiler out to do the repair. I had a box of tiles from the initial installation so they were able to match the lile exactly. It was completed on the same day and Chris sent me an invoice a few days later. He is continuing to look for a box of replacment tiles in case there is another damage incident to the area.

Wow! What an awesome job! Chris (the owner) himself came and did the estimate, which was $210 for the floors (we provided the tile, they provided the grout)and for removing/installing 2 toilets and $60 for touch up work on a shower that my husband and I tiled, but were unable to correct an overhang skill-wise. We scheduled the work for 7:AM Friday and they showed up on the dot! The two men that did the work did any excellent job on the floor, and when we voiced some concern on tiles lining up for shower wall touch up, they took down the work they had done and did it to our specifications without a word of complaint! They cleaned up all their work and were very friendly. They did such a good job I'm having my mother use them for her kitchen back splash.

I can't imagine a better experience! Chris (the "C" of C & L Tile) was the first of several contractors to come to the house and offer a bid. I could have just stopped with him. He looked at everything I wanted done and thoroughly outlined all my options with no pressure. The shower enclosure was the most complicated aspect of the job; Chris took the time to show and explain to me how the original installation had been done inadequately and resulted in the leakage I observed from behind the wall tiles. He then went over what he would do to correct the problem and offered a detailed quote, with pictures from other jobs, promptly via email. His explanations and proposals were sufficiently detailed for me to talk more intelligently with subsequent contractors, and helped me to distinguish between those who knew what they were doing and those who didn't. Chris' prices were very reasonable, but equally important was the confidence I had in him to do a great job-- derived both from my personal interactions with him and from the extensive, positive feedback from other members of Angie's List. Chris needed two weeks to complete the job, so we scheduled it for a time I would be traveling overseas. He and Nick, who did most of the tile/stone work, showed up several hours before I left for the airport; I gave them a set of keys, a guest alarm code, and returned two weeks later to find everything beautifully done and the house in perfect order. (The glass door and wall for the shower were installed a few days after my return, as planned ahead of time.) Chris found and bought the tile to match what was already in use elsewhere in the bathroom. He also recommended a deco band and floor design in the shower enclosure that turned out even better than I imagined. The subs who handled the plumbing and glass work were just as knowledgeable, reliable, and friendly to work with. (Chris encouraged me to talk directly with the subs myself before leaving town, so I'd be sure to understand my options and get what I wanted.) I'm so pleased with how things turned out that I've already asked Chris about tiling the rest of the master bathroom and possibly the guest bathroom. (Note: The price listed above is for the specified tile/stone work and does not include the glass installation, at $1,600, or the plumber, at $650.)

I found C & L Tile from Angie's List. Chris Grillo is the owner. I give the entire experience, from the estimate, to the initial construction "huddle" with Chris and his team, to the completed job a perfect score. Everyone was impressively professional, skilled, and a perfectionist! Chris and his team of installers and plumbers are the best I've experienced. Chris is a perfectionist and it shows. His work is outstanding and the quality is superb. Everyday of the two-week experience was a pleasure. I am so impressed with Chris that I will not use anyone else for work in my house that he can and will perform. He is currently enlarging and tiling the kitchen pantry with the same perfection and attention to detail and quality that I experienced with the bathroom remodeling.

From the day that Chris and Lisa came over to give us an estimate, from the day the job was done, we were impressed by the skill of there crew, professionalism, and excellent design suggestions. The job was finished in a timely manner and at the price they quoted.

Removing the Saltillo was going to be a very messy job. C&L was very careful to cover up areas to avoid dust. The job wasn't as difficult as they thought it would be. The workers were very pleasant, professional and neat. The total job took about 3 days and my floor looks really, really good.

Contacted Chris after he was recommended by Jerry's Repair. Chris advised that Eric Miller was the person that handled the Chandler area and would have him call me. Eric called the same day, came out and took measurements and advised how much tile I would need and gave me some of the names of local businesses I could check out to purchase. Once I purchased Eric picked them up and brought to my house. Work was scheduled and completed in the time frame given. Eric was very professional and experienced in his work and did a great job of keeping my inconvenience at a minimum during the installation process. He also kept me up to date on what he was doing and what to expect. He had to remove the toilets in both bathrooms and advised me that he was going to install new valve lines as the ones on them were old and he wanted to make sure I did not have a problem down the line. (The lines were the original from when the house was built 10 years ago). Eric cleaned up after each day of working and I did not have to worry about a "mess" to clean up after the job. I am completely satisfied with the installation and work done. Would recommend to others who are in need of tiling services.

Chris was always prompt. The first day the crew removed the cracked tiles. They came back the next morning and installed the replacement tiles. Chris then returned and did the repair work on the tiles that we did not have replaced.

They did a great job; Chris and his wife Lisa and Eric are really honest people and do a great job. Their prices are reasonable, they show up on time and are prompt and I will continue to use them.

Everything was positive from the first phone call to Lisa to the finishing of the job. Lisa came out the day after my call for an estimate. She was very knowledgeable and capable and gave us some great ideas for designs. Lisa and Eric showed up promptly and she went over with Eric what we wanted to have done. They were both professional, pleasant and courteous. Eric did a wonderful job; very meticulous, neat and precise.The icing on the cake was, when we decided the layout of the tile was not quite right and asked him if he could re-do it, he didn't bat an eye and redid it without any complaints or upset. We were so impressed with this, as we felt quite bad for having him re-do much of it! True customer service! The end result was amazing and we could not be happier! He took great care in making sure we were satisfied and that his job was perfect. The job was completed in 1.5 days. We HIGHLY recommend them and will use them again for any future projects. FANTASTIC!

Very professional, showed up on time, finished very quickly and on time, worked around the dog and locked up the house when finished with project. Very meticulous in laying out design and making sure placed in middle of floor with matching distance from ends and side of kitchen. Very little waste with design due to careful planning, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I called and they were able to come out within a couple of days to give me an estimate. I had the tile for them to install, so all they needed was to estimate the labor cost. They were able to come back in 2 to 3 business days to complete the work and it only took them about 2 1/2 hours to do. They were polite, professional, and they cleaned up well when they were done.

Chris contacted me immediately after my request and set up a time to come look at my project. He arrived within the time he gave and took some measurements and told me he would contact me later that day with an estimate. He called and I was happy with the price he proposed. He scheduled to be at my house the following business day at 7:30 a.m, and was not a minute late. The job was done in a day and a half and I am very pleased with the outcome. I will definitely call him again for my future projects.

I picked C & L because of their excellent ratings on Angie's list, and because they were fairly close to our house. We made an appointment with Chris (one of the owners) to meet with us, review the job at hand, and provide an estimate. On the day of the estimate appointment, they called from the road to let us know they were headed our way, and could they come by a little early. (Absolutely!) Their estimate was agreeable to us, and we set preliminary schedule to do the work within a few of days. They called two days in advance to confirm the day and time for the work to be done. On the day of the work, they arrived on time. Chris came as well to get the job started, and reviewed the job thoroughly with his tile setter Eric. The work was done quickly, with very little disruption, tile was set (completely straight) and grouted, and the area was completely cleaned up. (That last item is one of my hot buttons, and this was a "clean as you go" situation--good work Eric!!)

Very professional, and they came on time.
