Chris and his team are amazing. I was a bit skeptical based on my past experiences with other contractors, even after I had read the great reviews of C&L on Angie's List. Now that C&L has completed the project, I can say without a doubt that the level of quality and service by these guys is nothing short of remarkable (and I have very high standards and expectations). It was clear right from the start when Chris came over to bid the project, that he knew what he was doing. He listens attentively, asks all the right questions, offers his input/advice (not pushy or over-bearing), and executes the entire project from start to finish (as well as making sure that things are going according to schedule). Another thing that impressed me was that he ALWAYS answered his phone. So if I had a question, or needed some clarification, he was also available. It's amazing to find someone like that these days. Would I use these guys again for another project?? You would be crazy not to use them.

The bid was probably around $10000. They had good reviews on Angie’s list. The overall experience was excellent. I just ended up going with somebody that my brother knew. It was within the business. They were excellent on everything. I will consider using them in the future.

They did a good job of matching the existing travertine tile and finishing it out. I am very pleased with the results.

The company never called me back regarding my request for an estimate.

I had 3 estimates done and Chris gave me a written estimate with details of the costs. He also asked very good questions about details of what we were wanting to do during the estimate. I chose C & L Tile both because of Angie's List reviews and how professional and detailed Chris was doing the estimate. The tearout was done in one day and they did a great job. The install was done about a month later as we are not living in the house yet so could wait, and they were booked out until then. The install is the best job I have ever had done. The tiles next to the Adobe walls were cut beautifully, and the baseboards were cut to fit rounded corners - the workmanship is top notch. I could not have been happier with the install. Nick was the lead installer with two other gentlemen working with him - they were fantastic. We will be needing to redo the master shower in a few months and I will definitely use C & L Tile. Also Chris was very accommodating with changes - I added the request to install baseboards in the kitchen and laundry room at the start of the install and Chris said that was fine and redid the final invoice to add that sq ft. Then the day before they were installing the final baseboards I realized there was another 6 - 7 sq ft of baseboard needed in the living room (it had crappy old wood baseboard) so I e-mailed Chris and he said it would be no problem.

We contacted C & L because Angie's list recommend them. When we contacted Chris the owner he came right over and gave us an estimate. When we decided to go with his company, he promptly ordered our tile and as soon as the product arrived his team came and worked diligently and professionally and finished the work in three days. The work was outstanding!

I chose them because they had excellent reviews on Chris’ list and its owner operated. I had a few estimates done and I really liked Chris who’s the owner. They are laying the tile this week and they’re doing an excellent job. They did a nice detailed quote and they gave it to me in writing. Some of the other ones kind of gave it to me over the phone or told me how much they would charge me per square foot and then never even sent me a follow up. Their responsiveness was very good. I’m totally happy. I will use their services again in the future if I need to.

Chris came out right away to discuss the job, measure and then got me a quote within a couple of days. He was very thorough, asking lots of questions and making suggestions. When it came to scheduling, they were very flexible. They arrived on time, were well-prepared and got to work right away. Laying the tile took one day, and they returned the next day to do the grout. The installers were very clean, polite and professional. There were no surprises.

Everything went well. I would highly recommend them.

When I called for an estimate, Chris (the owner) was very prompt in visiting our home. He was very professional and courteous and the estimate was very competitive with other quotes I received. He was able to answer my questions, and gave some great ideas on how to handle some possible design issues. I was able to schedule the work promptly. Chris was there the morning his two employees came to start work to make sure that everything was squared away and that everyone knew exactly what they were going to do. He also returned at the beginning of work the next day to make sure everything was going well. I must admit in the past, I've experienced a wide range of people doing work for me. I've come to the point where I'm a bit scared about the job people are going to do. When these two men starting working, I felt as if I could breathe a sigh of relaxation. They were very professional and courteous, but most of all, they were very good at what they did. I was so happy to see how meticulous they were as they worked. They took the time to do it right and the back splash turned out beautifully. Sometimes with projects out of my skill set I wish I could do them myself just to make sure they are done well. In this case, I am so happy I had these gentlemen to do the work because they did it better than I could have ever imagined. I wish all contractors were like this! I would definitely recommend this company to others and hope to use them on future projects.

They were great. They showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job. It was an all-around great job. The quality was great. We would use them again.

The company owner called me back immediately, said he could come out, but warned me that they had two very big jobs they were working on and they were currently scheduling work out 6 weeks. That was longer than I should wait, so we didn't schedule. But I really appreciate the professionalism of being honest up front about the time frame. I would try them again in the future.

Couldn't have gone better. Repairman arrived at the time indicated, looked at what work we needed done, gave a quote for labor only since I was supplying materials. We agreed he would return in 2 weeks and complete the project. Again, everything went perfectly.He was careful not to damage any other tiles as he removed old tile. The grout was feathered in with the old grout so you can't tell there was an obvious repair. When he was done all mess was taken care of and we were left with a hallway that looked like new. C & L Tile will be at the top of my list when I need tile repair or installation in the future.

I initially spoke with Chris by phone, explained exactly what the job would entail, the dimensions of the room, the size of the tile I would use, etc. This was a very small bathroom off the master bedroom which I had already upgraded and did the demo of old tile myself. I had purchased the new tile and had that at the ready as well. He quoted me a price right over the phone which, at the time, I thought was low and might increase when he saw how much cutting might be involved. He advised me to select my grout color and let him know when I had, at which point he would schedule the job. I left a voice mail with the info a few days later. I received a call back right away and we scheduled for a couple of days soon after. I received a call to advise they were enroute and the installers were right on time. Shortly after Chris himself showed up to deliver the grout along with a new wax ring for the toilet and check on the crew...I had requested very thin grout lines which he reiterated to the installers. They removed the toilet, were careful of the adjoining wood floors. The clean up was excellent and the original price never changed. I am very pleased with the work and professionalism and would definitely use C&L again.

Chris Grillo and Nick simply did a great job on this job, which we competitively bid. Chris was diligent in responding, worked with us to meet our "need" date as we had some guests visiting. The final product was beautiful. Thanks Chris!

Decided to replace 1,200 sq/ft of carpet with 'wood' looking tile. Originally wanted hardwood floors but was concerned about the durability; my neighbor installed wood-looking tile and it looked great so decided to go with the tile. We bought the tile separately and contracted with C&L Tile to do the installation based on Angie's List reviews. I called Chris for an estimate and he was out in a couple of days. The estimate was very reasonable and comparative to the quotes we received from the store where we bought the tile. We communicated regarding installation dates and timing via e-mail and Chris was very prompt and responsive to all my questions. As the tile is 6" x 24" and installed in a staggered pattern similar to wood floors, I expected the installation to take a bit longer than regular square tile. The installation took place over two weeks - Tues to Thurs for the Bedroom / Closet and Mon to Friday of the following week for the Living Room / Family Room. Although I purchased the tile separately, C&L picked up the tile and brought it to the house the day of installation. The installation team showed up promptly each morning and finished between 3-4pm each day; they were a pleasure to work with and cleaned up at the end of each day. The job was finished exactly on schedule both weeks which was really important when you have your whole house in disarray for the installation. I would definitely use C&L Tile again and really appreciate the professional and courteous attitude of Chris and his team.

Eric arrived on schedule. He did a good job leveling the foundation under the loose tiles and replacing the loose tiles. A few days after he completed the job several tiles near where the grout had been cracked and patched but we thought the tiles were still ok popped loose. We called Eric to ask him to come back and fix the other tiles that popped loose. He did not return our call. We called again and he did not return our call again. It's been five weeks now since we called and he has not returned our calls.

We contacted C&L by phone to request an estimate. Most of the rest of the interaction regarding bids and scheduling were done via email. The job was completed in 2 days. The installers were very polite and friendly and knowledgeable. We are very pleased with the results.

Chris and his team did great. It was a relatively small job, but Chris and his team were a pleasure to deal with. Their pricing was a couple hundred dollars less than another bid we received, but Chris' customer service was far better. I have nothing bad to say about C&L tile and would recommend them without hesitation.

We had a excellent experiance. The job came in below estimate. Chris and his employees were quite plesant, on-time and did a clean job. I will be calling them again in the future for other projects I have in mind.

C&L Tile came out to provide estimate for job. Worked with us to match existing tile work and modified the job once it began. They were finished in a timely manner and the bathtub/shower looks great.

We recently moved into our home and had a window seat removed in the kitchen which left an area without tile and exposing some hideous linoleum. We barely had enough tiles, left by the previous owners, to repair the job. The men carefully removed some partial existing tiles in order to repair the area and managed to match everything to perfection. As far as we are concerned they were miracle workers and we were so thankful we found them on Angie's List!
