+ -1 moreThe person was asked to check an electrical connection to the hot tub. He replaced a 50 amp breaker that was not bad and then told us he doesn't work on hot tubs. I did not want him to work on the hot tub, just locate the electrical short. This took him 15 minutes and cost another $26 for the breaker we didn't need. What really makes me mad is he didn't ask if there was anything else he could do for the remaining 1hr & 15 minutes we paid for. I had other things that could have been done. I feel we were totally ripped off and shame on the company for unprofessional business practices. I've told everyone I run into in the Solera community not to use this business.

+ -1 moreThe installation went well. Unfortunately, the electricity was on when outlets were changed out and an arc was created which fried our wine fridge. I did contact the owner about this and explained what happened. They were happy to refund the money for the service but felt that we were partially responsible for the damage as there could have been damage from before. To me, it was not worth pursuing anything further and I was happy to atleast have the work done for free. However, the wine fridge had to be replaced which cost more than the service. From our experience, we did not lose out on too much. However, I would caution someone if they have expensive home electronics as if our wine fridge was a computer server, fridge, television, etc, one could be out a larger sum of money.

The ceiling fan didn't have a long enough rod to accommodate the vaulted ceiling so they supplied the correct rod and were nice enough to just bill me for it because I was not present. Tenants are pleased and that makes me happy!
Description of Work: Changed out an old ceiling fan / light with one that I supplied. Also repaired a switch plate that didn't have the correct sized plate.

Description of Work: They answered the phone and scheduled promptly for the next day. The electrician arrived promptly at the start of the time range to expect him, and he called 15 minutes before to let me know when he was coming. I used the Angie's List deal, and I called them to make sure it was the right deal for the job to be worth it for me to buy it. Anyway, he located why my outdoor outlet was working and found the reset switch was on a garage switch I didn't know was there. He fixed the wiring and disconnected the wiring to outdoor electrical fixtures that I was going to have replaced. When I checked their credentials anyway, on my own, they are top rated. I also learned a few things, since he described to me what he did, and also told me where and what needs to be done to re-connect the wiring if I chose to put in new outdoor lights. Everything is working as expected, and no one got electrocuted when the landscaper removed all the old electrical wiring and lights in the yard. So, I recommed this company. He also checked to see if all the electrical outlets were working in the house. I won't play with electricity repairs unless I really know what I am doing, and he definitely won my confidence in his abilities.

+ -1 moreI'm a Realtor and purchased ATS Electric's Big Deal for a client's home. I wanted a second opinion on some work that had been done on her property. Fortunately, the work received a thumbs up, freeing up a large portion of the 2 hours that I had purchased. Ponch, the representative from ATS, still found plenty of ways to improve the listing. He worked for every minute of my scheduled time, with a great attitude, and went above and beyond. When he finished some rewiring in the attic and saw that we still had 15 minutes left, he recommended labeling some of the outlets with multiple switches, to make life easier for the buyer. He didn't watch the clock and stopped when the task was completed. It was the first time that a contractor I've purchased through the Big Deal didn't try to up sell me or tack on additional fees or charges. I was very impressed and highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Provided 2 hours of electrical services, including checking and modifying some wiring, trouble shooting in the attic, and labeling outlets.

Troy also gave me an estimate on the cost of installing a new light switch & outlet & ceiling fan in a bedroom-a project that will have to wait several months.
Description of Work: Fixed non-functioning light switch, fixed 2 non-functioning outlets, fixed 4 non-functioning canned ceiling lights on 20ft ceiling. Repaired light switch,2 outlets. Repaired 1 light switch & 2 outlets. Repaired & replaced 6 canned lights in 20 ft ceiling. Replaced 5 in ceiling lights with new trim to match ceiling color & replaced all ceiling bulbs with long lasting,low electrical use bulbs. Even changed my A/C filter while he was up on the ladder!

As for the work, it went great except we have a couple of LED's that are flickering a bit. Troy is coming back to replace them today. They did an awesome job. The lighting is very energy-efficient and makes our home look entirely different. Couldn't be happier!

+ -1 moreHe dragged the work a little. He could have finished in 2-3 hours but took 4.5 hrs. He dug small portion of ground for no reasons then I had to ask him why. Then he went o buy supplies from Homedepot which is about 10 minutes from my house. He took an hour to come back< he counted the entire hour as a part of service.
Description of Work: Fixed an outdoor electric outlet which got flooded in a rain as it was 6 inch above ground. As a part of fix, he raised it 2 feet above ground.

+ -1 moreI'm remodeling a wall in my master suite and while I can run wires and do basic electrical work sometimes a situation comes up where hiring a pro makes more sense. In this case I needed to have three switches, a receptacle, and to pull power for another receptacle installed into a 3-gang box. With that much going on and that many wires I figured it would be easier to get help. The job went smoothly and after testing it was discovered that some of my own ground wiring had come loose, so that was corrected too. I've used ATS before and will use them again if the need arises.
