Crew was prompt effecient and very professional. Arrived on time, did their work and finished in under two hours. I would highly recommend them.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon for two men and a truck for two hours for $99. Every additional hour was $75. Two men showed up, wrapped up all the furniture and brought it to our new home with no problem. It was an additional two hours over the two in the coupon, but I thought that the price was very reasonable.

It was a comedy of errors. We were moving from a high rise condo into a house. The first move required booking of the elevator and much coordination with our building management. The estimator said "just point me to the building manager and I will take care of everything". The day before our move, there was a phone message from the estimator (which we did not receive until the end of the day) wherein the estimator said "you forgot to book the elevator, we will have to move you on another day". Of course there was no option to move "on another day" as our unit had to be vacated. We had to do some begging and pleading with another mover to share the elevator which took all day and left our things strewn all over the lane area for many hours. On the move in, one truck delivered some items and then the crew disappeared. We learned later that there was a more important move going on and the crew was needed there. Then for the second truck delivery, there was a break down (which can happen), so the items had to be unloaded and reloaded in another truck. Then when the move was completed, we found that one box containing the most expensive crystal glasses was simply missing. We decided to " just let that go" as an insurance claim would be tedious for that amount. Then one month later, we found that the clothes dryer was installed by the movers without a proper vent connection. They just stuck the pipe in the back of the dryer to make it look like it was connected. There are many more reasons which we would cause us not to recommend this mover, but suffice it to say that we would not. When speaking to the owner, there was no concern on his part once the fees were collected.

move went great, faster than i expected. team showed up on time, listened to our expectations and finished with no issues.

I have moved more than a dozen times in the past 30 years, both cross country and locally, and this was by far the best moving crew by far! I still have some items in storage,, and I plan on using this company again in the near future. In fact, I plan on requesting the same crew for the next move! That's how outstanding a job they did!

Arizona Discount Movers was polite when I first called and spent plenty of time explaining how they wrap and move the large furniture and also how they could move our hot tub even. They called the day before to confirm as well as a few hours before the day of and then again 20 minutes before they showed up. We decided to have them move some extra items as well which added on a couple hours from our scheduled time and they even stopped afterwards to drop off some items to donate to our church. All of this saved me a day of work and was well worth the extra time. The 3 man crew that they sent was extremely friendly and professional. They did an excellent job wrapping all of the items and nothing was damaged in the move. The hot tub was a bit of a challenge loading on the lift gate but it did work and when we unloaded it the driver also noticed that the bottom plastic pad was coming off in several places where the staples had rusted away and suggested that I staple it back on if I had a staple gun while they unloaded other things. We felt the crew worked extremely hard and really paid attention to not damage anything. One of the movers was newer but he even did a great job. My parents even mentioned how nice they were when we bought them lunch and took a few minute break to eat and they thanked us and picked up after themselves. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

They came out to our house and gave us a quote because we had some items that were staying with the house for the new owners and we needed it to be clear on what was actually being moved. They showed up on time, worked hard and got everything completed when promised. We have not moved into our new house, so we haven't unloaded yet, but we were very happy with the services so far. The price shown is for everything, packing, moving into storage, the storage fee and the delivering to the new place. The only thing I would recommend is that you get a job number when you schedule your move. I called to confirm the move and did not have a job number which required a little extra time for them to look it up. I'm very happy with their services and would use them again!

I was very pleased with the job but there was only thing that I wasn’t happy with, that they were late for almost eight hours. I couldn't do anything that day just waiting for them. In the end, they did a pretty good job. The price was good. I was very angry that day because of the wait and I called them many times. They were really professional though. Next time, if they promise to be on time, I would use them.

It went very well. Exactly how I had it planned out. Everyone was very professional and friendly.

I bought the Angie's List Deal for 2 men for 3 hours and also added an additional man. Jay and his crew were awesome! They worked very hard from the time they showed up at the house until they unloaded the last piece off the truck. They paid carefully attention to pad wrap all the furniture. Kay and the crew called before their arrival to inform me they were on the way. They were punctual! Jay and the crew made the move very easy! This was the easiest and quickest move I have experience while in Phoenix. I have moved a lot. I would recommend Arizona Discount Movers! Will definitely use them again! Total move took 4 hours!

Two movers arrived on time. Had a brieft communication with me on what and how the furtniures & items need to be moved. And then started to work right way. I made a mistake thinking one box was missing and called them the same night. The mover (sorry I fogot his name) went into the truck to look for it while on phone with me. Impressed by their professionalism and friendly.

This past January the storage units we had flooded. Thankfully because of the excellent packing job these guys did (most boxes lined with bubble wrap) we had very little damage. Oh, the outside box looked horrible, but inside everything was just fine. Thank you, AZ Discount Movers!! Not only are you quality movers, but excellent packers!!

Overall fine. Make sure the estimator is clear on what is to be moved.

I purchased the deal this company had to have two movers, a truck and 3 ours of work for $249 after reading others reviews. Overall was happy with the movers that showed up on time (beginning of their window)- they got to work immediately and even helped me finish loading my car with smaller items that didn?t need to go in the moving truck. They wrapped anything I asked them to, provided wardrobe boxes and even boxed up a few tables I mentioned might be breakable since the last moving company (NOT this one) I used did actually break them. Moving was quick down the road and they got right to work unloading and asking where everything went. The only troubling part of this was the terms of the deal were NOT clear nor were they explained that one of the three hours of the deal had to be applied to the ?transport? part of moving. Even though the entire process took less than 3 hours (2.25 hrs total) I still had to pay for the ?extra? 15 minutes of moving time. I felt this was unfair and would encourage you to call the company first to get them to verify any small print on their deals BEFORE purchasing them. ***UPDATE*** I called the company today (02/12/13) and spoke with Amy. She explained that the charge for the extra 15 min was an oversight due to multiple promos going on at the same time. Not only is she refunding the $18.75 back to my credit card but she is also sending me a gift card. AMAZING! As such I have updated the rating and would absolutely use this company again. Thank you!

When you make an appointment, count on them being prmpt. They will handle everything as promptly, professionally, and as efficiently as you might wish. Their methods are good and the crew tht worked for my job were very experienced. they applied pads, good packing methods, and cleaned up after themselves. . .

the four men showed up as expected on time with two trucks and started working right away.they started moving stuff very quickly, since we had lot of stuff it took us 8 hrs to finsh the move but all four were very efficient.The hourly charge was bit pricy but can't complain since they were very profficianal and also very helpful.

These guys did a great job for us. From the front office staff who competently scheduled the job, called to remind us, and easily worked with the Angie's list coupon, to the polite men who called to tell us they would be there a bit late and then showed up at our door with apologies and their sleeves rolled up, this company was really everything we needed for that job. The movers were late getting to the house, but we were the last job of the day, and I understand that previous homeowners had added hours to their jobs ahead of us. I understand how this can happen; I think we did it to them, actually. Once they got there, though, they were thorough, careful, kind, and competent. Not only did they do a very good job, their quiet energy actually helped calm our jangled nerves... moving is not easy. Everything was so stressful around that time, but with these guys, we knew we were in good hands. We went over the originally purchased two hours, both because we just plain underestimated how much time it would take to move our stuff, and because we asked them to move a few things we didn't originally count on them having to move (see above). We ended up spending about $300 on this move, about $200 more than the Angie's list coupon we purchased. Worth every penny. Nothing was damaged, everything was placed where we wanted it, and it just went really well. I would definitely recommend this company.

One of the worst experiences that I've ever had with a so called PROFESSIONAL company! When I called for information and a quote for services, I spoke with gentleman named Larry ( co-owner). He was very nice, helpful and informative. We had a lengthy conversation about my moving needs and he answered all my questions. I told him that I wanted to check out some other companies and would call back if I decided to enlist their services. He told me that if I did decide to use their company to please call back and ask for him. After making some other calls, I decided on AZ Discount Movers. When I did call back , this began a series of repeated call backs. Every time I called he was either busy in the warehouse, in conference with an employee, or having computer issues and was busy with a technician. After calling back 4 different times I was finally able to reach Larry. He was very apologetic and said he was having "one of those days". We got to crunching the numbers and went over a few different scenarios and came to a great hourly rate, no trip charge, and told me of all the great things the movers would do for me such as the care that would be taken in wrapping my furniture, protecting my carpeting ( I had just had all my carpets cleaned) etc., all at no extra charge. We booked the moving date and he gave me my confirmation number. It all went downhill from there. I got a call from Amy ( co-owner/spouse) a couple days before the move to confirm everything. She started to go over "the numbers " with me and they were different than what was agreed to previously. I told her of the rate that was agreed to with Larry and I even provided the confirmation # that she could check out. She was very pleasant and said that she would check with Larry and assured me that it would all be corrected. The day of the move came. They arrived on time. I met the lead driver/mover his name was Ronnie. He had co-worker with him. I sensed right away that this was not going to go well or smooth. Ronnie did not have a very friendly demeanor and was not easy to talk to. He moved kind of slow and didn't have that "sense of urgency" of wanting to get the job done promptly. During the "walk thru" it was kind of awkward because when I would voice concerns on how certain items would be handled, instead of reassuring me that great care would be taken, he kept boasting on how he's been in the moving business for 10 yrs and he knew what he was doing. After the walk thru was completed, Ronnie said that I had to initial the agreement before they could begin work. When he presented the contract to me it was completely different than what I had agreed to with Larry. It was the same wrong numbers that Amy had told me that she was going to get corrected a couple of days prior. It was a different hourly rate, I didn't see anything about no "trip charge". It even had a different confirmation # than what I was given. I started to feel like this was a "bait and switch" scenario. I showed Ronnie my notes that I had taken when I set everything up with Larry and pointed out all the differences. Ronnie told me there was nothing he could do because the contract had been "printed" not "hand written" and therefore could not make changes to the contract or else any differences in money would be taken out of his paycheck ! Well, I'm sorry but as a customer, that is not my problem. He also said that there was nobody at the office that could rectify the agreement. ( for a company that posts business hours on Sundays,one would think there would be support staff on hand). Needless to say I was very reluctant to initial the agreement. The co-worker that was there to assist in the job was a very friendly man and was trying to get this situation solved. He assured me that they are a good company and that any extra charges incurred by me due to this mistake would reimbursed . Keep in mind that I was agitated by this situation but not angry and there was no yelling or language used. Due to the tight timeline I had to move and the pressure, I went against everything I knew and went ahead and initialed the agreement. At that point I tossed the pen down and said to Ronnie... "ok, I initialed the contract now what do we have to do to get this thing going?' Ronnie looked at me, closed his binder and started to walk out the door! I asked , "where he was going, we have an agreement" His co-worker was trying to talk /reason with him but Ronnie and co-worker got into the truck and drove off leaving me stranded with no service to move!!!!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! My brother and a friend were there and witnessed the whole thing too. I had to scramble and make calls to relatives for help and had to take a chance on another moving company without doing some due diligence on that company. By the way ... Muscular Moving Men did a suburb job and you will see my review of them reflect as much .A completely opposite experience than with AZ Discount Movers. Now in the aftermath of this fiasco one would think that on Monday morning I would've received a phone call from Az Dis. Mov. to find out what had happened....... nothing! My brother initiated contact with them and they claimed to know nothing at all about it! Amy was apologetic to my brother about everything and said she would look into it. She made an offer of some supposed gift certificates for any inconvenience and she wanted to speak with me about all of this. I called a day later. We went over what had happened and again she was very apologetic and said that this has never happened before. She said that either herself or her husband would've been in the office that day but one of their children had become ill and had to be taken to the hospital ( I don't believe this and will explain near the conclusion of this review). She also stated that Ronnie could've indeed proceeded at the rate that I showed him and didn't know why he said what he did. She told me that she had suspended him pending the outcome of all this( again I don't believe this) that he has been a longtime employee and doesn't know why he conducted himself the way that he did. She offered me some gift certificates also but I explained that there were not only the inconvenience but monetary damage as well. The increased rates and fees from the other moving company, the expenses that relatives & friends incurred (gas money/ time) to help me move amounted to about $250.00 more than what was expected. I spoke w/ Amy on Weds 1/16/13. She said she wanted to talk it over with her husband about compensation and would call me back on Fri 1/18/13..... guess what.... NO CALL! It's Monday 1/21/13 and nothing. I guess they are not so concerned about their customer service as they claim to be. This is why I don't believe anything that she has said to me about how concerned they are about of this and all the reasons as why this happened ie. child sick, worker suspended etc. People you are dealing with a company that is reactive...not proactive! I have worked in the customer service industry for almost 35 yrs. My current employer for 12 yrs. The company I work for is an home accessory/ fine furniture retailer. Our cust. serv. is exemplary . If I had done 50% of what Ronnie had done, I would've been terminated on the spot not suspended and phone calls and compensation and follow ups would've been initiated by us not the customer. AZ Discount Movers has no idea of the damage done by all this. Being in the furniture business many of our customers are in transition (moving) and ask about moving services. Not to mention my Real Estate Agent asked about the moving services I used so she can recommend to her clients. Guess which one failed? This is already spreading like wildfire... to friends, family, coworkers and professionals in the industry. All due to poor communications and the actions of one man who has and is damaging a company that claims to be working so hard to satisfy their customers..............so sad.

This company was excellent to schedule with, very accomodating and pleasant. I bought an Angieslist package of 2 movers for 2 hours for $99. I never felt slighted in the least for using a discount package. The day of the move they called and told me they would be there early. My movers, Cody and Kenneth, were very nice and professional. They moved several items out of the small storage unit to get to the bedroom furniture and never complained. The truck they used looked brand new. They were careful to pad everything well. They were quick to unload and set up the complicated bedframe. I had no damage to anything. Cody also helped me move a few other things at my house before they left. I had a great experience and can highly recommend them.

, Overall a great job. I used to work as a mover in college and I drove over the road for American Red Ball for two years. Having been in the business I know what to look for and expect alot. They delivered on all expectations and I will use them again if the need arises, even for a small job. Very professional and quick. Worh every penny.

Have never hired movers before. After reading reviews I picked Arizona Discount Movers. The office staff was very helpful. The two men were extremely careful with our items. Everything that could possibly be damaged was wrapped with blankets or bubble wrap. My aunt was concerned about an antique hutch and was very happy with the way it was handled. It seemed like the hottest day of the year but the movers were professional and helpful. I will definitely hire Arizona Discount Movers again in the future.

We bought a coupon for this moving company through Angie's List Big Deal offer. They were very easy to work with and cooperative about arranging for a convenient pickup and delivery time. It was a small move, but the two men were careful, considerate and professional. It was a positive experience and we would hire them again in the future.

Professionally scheduled a day and time. Was contacted the day before. Movers arrived at my home, picked up a refrigerator and moved it to my daughter's new home. Then went to my daughter's rental and moved assorted HEAVY items to her new home. The Angies List coupon was good for two hours ($99.00) and they stayed an extra hour ($75.00). They did a great job and were very pleasant and enthusiastic. I would use them again.
