Absolutely horrible service and would not recommend! It took 7 hours for 3 men to move an apartment with minimal furniture 20min away. I had minimum furniture bc I purchased new furniture to be delivered to my new place. I had an item that was broke and also had missing things. I later got a charge for a purchase that was taken from my home. It took 50min to drive to my new apartment which is exactly 18min away, while paying an hourly fee & transportation fee. One of the movers found me on social media and began liking a bunch of my pictures, which is just extremely unprofessional. Once I stated this to the manager, Stephanie she proceeded to say how he is harmless and had no concern for the length her men took in my move. When hiring a company, professionalism and safety should always be a concern when it involves your home, this business completely fell short and would not recommend!

You claim to only allow businesses that do quality work. This company has absolutely horrible reviews, theft by employees and damaging every customers property. My mother hired this company and they have been atrocious. No call no show and my mother had to reach out to see why!! Excuse after excuse and still 10 hours later, movers are not there! How can you even say this website has legit businesses when you put trash on here?

I called and scheduled a move for May 31st after I found a rental that would allow me to move in early because my house sold, and I needed to be out by the 1st of June. I was told Arizona Discount Movers that the movers would be at my house on May 31st, and I was given a three-hour window. I was then told that I would get a courtesy call when the movers were thirty minutes away and I needed to reserve the movers with a $190.00 dollar payment which they put on my credit card. On the day of the move, while I was packing, Arizona Discount Movers called at 1352, and again at 1442... I returned their call at 1446 and asked if they were thirty minutes out or closer? To which she responded, “because you didn't answer the phone, I sent your movers to another move”. I stated that I was told I'd be given a call when they were on their way, and not only were we still well within the three-hour window they gave, but I also paid $190.00 dollars to reserve the movers! She said she would try to get them or another team out and when she couldn't she said the next date they could send someone was the 5th of June. I told her my house had sold and there was no way I could stay there and wait for them. I told her I would find another company and I expected them to refund my $190.00 dollars. She said that the refund would be done in 5-7 days. 14 days later when the money had not been returned, I called them back. I was told it had not happened automatically for some reason but that she'd do it manually. It has now been 14 more days and no refund. I don't feel like they're going to return my money, so I called my credit card company and submitted a fraud claim. I'm tired of dealing with this unprofessional company... They're my credit card company's headache now.

We made it very clear upon booking your move, that we call you 30 min. prior to arrival to make sure you are ready, and that we are on our way. We called you 10 times in a 1 hour period. We texted 3 times as well. With no response. We had the crew wait around for an hour and a half. By this time we had to direct the crew to another move. When you finally called 2 hrs. later we explained to you that you never answered our calls to send the crew your way. We told you we could reschedule you or try to come later that day. You said no and cancelled. When you cancel your move the same day you lose your deposit. We explained all of our policies upon booking you. We are sorry it did not work out.

My move was on 10/22/22. I specifically stated repeatedly, and constantly the most important things were the 3 large TVs. I paid for 4 men and two trucks. at just under $300/hr. I got 3 men and one that was constantly on a break complaining about a hurt finger, constantly asking where he was as I never really saw him. The move was very long. It ended up being 11.5+ hours. Movers got frustrated with the 4th guy resulting in physical confrontation, on the clock, & charged me for it! I paid for movers physically fighting on the job! End result, two TVs, an 86 LG and a 75 in Vizio broken. They placed all TVs vertically on their side, facing the wall, so I could not see the damage till they were gone! When I saw them place on their sides, I specifically asked if TVs should be on their sides, he said, "YES, it's fine." I called and was asked to file a claim & have been getting the run around ever since. I have been calm, and polite, understanding, and extremely easy to work with -you catch more flies with honey- This company doesn't care about their customers. Each conversation was an accusation that I broke my own TVs!! Amy(Owner) said, "I should have noticed the damage" How can I notice damage when the TVS are all facing the wall on their sides? I can't move tvs myself. Very rude, continuously cut me off, very dismissive, Very disappointing. Bad business practices &bad customer service. I didn't ask for money, just my TVs replaced.

We moved her and her move was very large move. She even stated in her information that it was going to be an all day move, and she knew that she had hired four movers and two trucks, she had a large home with a lot of stuff in it. We quoted her anywhere from 10 to 12 hours and that’[Member Information Removed] exactly how long it took was within that timeframe out of all the things that we moved there was no reports of damage upon completion of the move. Once we completed the move we had the customer do a walk-through to check for any damage or anything that might need completed Everything she signed was satisfactory on our bill of lading and stated that she did not see any damage about a week later after her move, she called and said that when her boyfriend, and [Member Name Removed] guy ended up moving the TV into another room when they sat it down, they noticed that there was damage . We sent her claim form to fill out, and unfortunately, she decided to do a charge back on her entire move so that halted the damage claim process. Unfortunately, once we move the TV and then it’[Member Information Removed] moved again by someone else we usually do not process a claim because we don’t know if they damaged it because when we left there the TV was intact and with there was no damage but I told her I would go ahead and honor the basic valuation covered that she chose for her move when we offered her the different valuation coverages, she chose the basic valuation coverage once we had let her know the coverage that she chose, wish she was not happy with that. Unfortunately, all we can do is offer the coverages and the customer is the one who chooses what coverage they decide to get. We’re sorry that you feel like we didn’t do a good job, I’m sorry that this happened but unfortunately we will process the claim, according to the valuation coverage, chosen by the customer.

Worst movers on the planet. DO NOT HIRE. Asked they wrapped the TVs and RICKY didnt feel the need. Asked for a mattress bag, didnt bring and I watched them drag a king mattress son the ground getting it dirty. This customer was moving within the same complex, so we walked everything to her new apartment. We shrink wrapped the television, and walked it over to her new apartment. There was no need to over pad the tv, and no damage occurred to her television. The customer got upset with Rickey our mover, because he had asked her if she was "ok" and if she could calm down. She was extremely high strung with the movers, and when they tried calming her she went off on both movers, making them feel extremely uncomfortable. The movers were both African American, and they felt like they were being judge for that reason. She stated her mattress got dirty, so we offered to send her a claim form, and asked for a picture. She did not do either one of those things. Instead she had asked for a refund of $120.00. We granted that requested due to her threats to go to social media. So we will be refunding her that amount and we are sorry that the movers had asked her if she was "ok". In a conversation with our general manager she had stated the following. " These movers are here to move my furniture not to ask me if I am ok, they need to just zip it and move my d*** furniture. The movers were trying to be helpful, since her attitude was causing some tension. We pride ourselves on being one of the longest standing moving companies in Arizona, we would never treat anyone with disrespect, and we wish this customer the best.

Their employee hung up on me and the corporate office emailed with justification for the behavior. I called for a QUOTE on April 7th and spoke with Stephanie. I was just getting a quote. We exchanged email twice. Their quote was not the lowest so I selected someone else. Today I get a call from Stephanie (speaking very harsh and rude) telling me that I needed to pay the deposit for my move. I was so confused because I had not signed a contract or confirmed a date. She then rudely told me she had held the day and other had wanted it. I am still confused. We had not spoken since 4/17 for a QUOTE. I informed her that I had hired another company. She then hung up on me! I wrote and reply to her explaining that was not the best customer service. The corporate office relied back as follows: We appreciate your feedback, Stefanie is the General Manager of our company. She has been for the last 8 years; she has been complimented on how patient and kind she is on the phone. You stated that you would call back to pay your deposit. You also emailed giving us a date, we put you on our schedule board, and held that date for you. Only for you to cancel, and never have the courtesy to call us to let us know that you already booked with another company, although you booked with us. We turned down other customers that wanted that spot and were more than willing to pay the deposit. But instead, Stefanie kindly held onto that day and time as promised that you were going to call back and pay the deposit. We understand that things do happen, but courtesy goes both ways. This customer did not move with our company. She did book a move with us because we gave her a job number got all of her details and addresses, and we have the recorded conversation of her stating that she was booked and that she was going to call back to pay her deposit. We explained to this customer that we would need to get the deposit before booking her move. She stated “that she did not have the money at the time" and that she would pay it closer to the move date. We explained that we’d have to have the deposit at least a week prior, and our general manager Stefanie was kind enough to book the customer without a deposit. Upon her agreement that she would pay the deposit a week prior to the move date. Three days prior to her move date, we noticed that she had not called to pay her deposit. We proceeded to call her to get the deposit for her move, only for her to tell us that she has gone with another company. We had proceeded to tell her that we would have appreciate it if she would’ve called us to let us know that she went with another company, therefore we would’ve taken her off our schedule. Since several other customers had called and wanted that spot, and we’re more than willing to put a deposit down that day. So we were kind enough to hold her move,only for her to not cancel her move date, and to never call us to make us aware that she went with another company. In the conversation we were extremely professional, patient and we’re never rude. We have the recorded conversations to prove that. She said she was upset because when we hung up with her we had stated thank you and goodbye. She said that we did not wait for her to respond so if she considers that rude and us hanging up on her. She took plenty of time out of her day to write several reviews on several different review sites, but we find it interesting that she couldn’t take three minutes to call us to cancel her move that we had held for her for over two weeks. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. From their arrival when they had fewer wardrobe boxes then was agreed upon; to the dirty runners they used on the white carpet in our new home; to the THEFT of all of our pantry food; to the unauthorized use of an antique white comforter or ours they used and soiled beyond repair; to the nicked furniture and picture frames, to their unresponsiveness to any resolution of these matters, I cannot recommend them. The damage you submitted was very minimal and could hardly be seen in the photos submitted. We are in the process of processing a claim for the minimum damage. Unfortunately we do not have your food. The movers unloaded everything upon arrival at the destination. An inspection of the truck showed all items were unloaded and nothing was left on the truck. Again we are sorry for any damage. Your claim will be processed according to the valuation coverage you have chosen. Unfortunately upon our conversation after you submitted your claim form we explained to you that the claim process could take 8-12 weeks for processing. You had demanded we process your claim ahead of everyone else. We had explained that we could not unfairly place yours above others who were already submitted. We are sorry and ask for you to please be patient, and we have been completely upfront about our process.

Shafh and Greg called before arrival to confirm the type of work to ensure they would have the right crew. They arrived on time. We did a walk through of the furniture to be moved, since this was a partial apartment move. Shafh did an excellent job of packing the china and glassware, and the many other dust collectors. Greg carefully wrapped all the furniture to prevent rub damage. They did an excellent job loading the furniture and boxes into the rental truck. And even though I did not have tie-downs or rope, they helped to secure the load so it wouldn't shift. Overall I'm exceedingly pleased with their work. I probably could have found the same service for a lower fee, but I did want the job done right and I strongly feel I got my monies worth. I would call ADM in the future.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. From my first phone call to get information to wrapping up the move with our movers, the entire experience was smooth and without problems. The crew (Jose, Jacob and Pedro) arrived on time. They were courteous, professional and they got right to work. They made the move in just over 4 hours in the Az summer heat. I was pleased with the care they took with our belongings and the attention they paid to details and time. This was a top-notch professional service with no hidden fees. We have used this company 3 times in the last 4 years. I found them originally on Angie's list, I liked that they had been in business for 43 years which is impressive. I hired them again to move our home last month. I cant say enough about this moving company and how they have accommodated my family every time we have booked. With the unknown closing dates we had to reschedule several times. They always worked with us, and when move day arrived they were punctual, professional, and funny. I made a review on Angie's List on 5/24/18 for my moving experience on 3/8/18 . The owner of Arizona Discount Movers (Amy) personally reached out to me to discuss the issues I had with my move. There was also some miscommunication with my claim process. During our conversation she apologized for the confusion, and was not satisfied with the decision regarding my claim. She listened to my side of the story and came up with a solution. She was extremely professional and is going above and quite frankly beyond my expectations to rectify any and all of my issues with the move. Our move was short term and we will be moving again in a few months. We will be giving a second chance to Arizona Discount Movers for this move and I will definitely be giving another review. I am hopeful it will be the kind of review that I love to give!! Amy was professional and immediately took all responsibility for any issue that we had during our move. 5/24/18 From the moment they arrived we received a complaint by Jose about how big our house was and all the furniture we had AND that they had to climb stairs. We had 3 movers and 1 big truck (which was recommended by Az Discount Movers) Comments were made continuously by Jose on "Where we were hiding all of our Gold" and that he needed to hurry so he could get home in time to see the Ellen DeGeneres show! Other comments were made regarding his personal life, but I will not comment here. When moving our furnishings majority of the time ONE guy would pick up our furniture, roll our furnishing or lay our TV's on there sides, they would NOT help each other with each piece of furniture. A lot of our stuff is heavy and should have had a least 2 people picking up and "placing" not rolling it onto the dolly. Our Tv's were not handled with care at all and we were surprised they did not get ruined. Our KING size bedroom set was carried by one guy and he banged the headboard against our bedroom door and stair banisters because it was too big for him to carry over his head by himself. I observed Jose pushing my coffee table on the dolly. He was trying to get it through the front door and instead of getting help, he pushed it off the dolly onto the ground outside, onto the concrete and on its side. He then asked for help getting it through the door. As he placed the table in front of me, I noticed several nicks and scratches on the side of the table. I ran my hand over the coffee table and a corner piece about 2 inches fell of onto the floor. My table weighs approx. 160lbs so when he "Rolled"it of the dolly onto the ground the table got ruined. I had just been given this table as a gift approx. 4 months before our move. Several other pieces of furniture had nicks and dents, but we didn't notice until after our move and settling into our home. I filed a claim on our coffee table since that had the most damage and after 2 months of not hearing back from Az Discount Movers I had to call to get an update on my claim. I was told that they were working on it and that I would get a call back by Monday. Well I didn't get a call back on Monday. However, I did get a letter on Tuesday informing me that my claim was DENIED. The reason for the denial was they accept NO responsibility for the damage to my table since it was MY responsibility to have it CRATED before my move. They highlighted the portion of my contract stating this : Shipper assumes all liability for the moving of uncrated/unboxed glass, marble, paintings, pictures, lamps and lampshades. My coffee table was made out of Steel frame with a concrete top and NONE of the above materials was a part of my table. Any table would have been damaged by the way my coffee table was handled. The mover did not say that my coffee table should be crated. The only suggestion was that we remove any fire arms from our gun safe. The movers were careless and Az Discount Movers are definitely liable for the damage. I have left a message with the claims department and after a week, still have not received a phone call back. This move was temporary until our new home is built. I will NOT be using this company again or recommending this company to friends or family.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond accordingly. It must be said that Jose, the crew leader, does indeed have a sense of humor that unfortunately seems to have been misinterpreted. We have since informed him to be less lighthearted and more professional when in the field, and we apologize for his excessive joking. We do acknowledge that our office staff is small and at times our peripheral obligations may not be completed as timely as preferred. We whole heartedly apologize for any delay and appreciate your patience and understanding. Regarding your observations about the crew members moving items by themselves, we complete approximately 3000 moves per year and employ only seasoned moving veterans who know how to move. In the case of the coffee table being damaged, it seems that procedures may not have been adhered to. Since the table top was not crated, we followed through and denied the claim according to protocol. Since then however, we have reached out to the Customer and, in good faith have volunteered to provide a settlement for said table. We do appreciate our valued Angie's List Customers and hope that our agreement will alleviate any discomfort or dissatisfaction experienced.
