ARIZONA DISCOUNT MOVERS

This was a partial move as I had them move the bulk of my things the first time around. They charged more the second time around for less items than they did for the bulk of the move! There was only two guys on this move though. The guys worked well together but seemed to play around somewhat. When I complained that this was taking too long the head guy seemed to take charge and figure out my bill even though there was one hour left of labor to do. I wasn't as pleased the second time around as I was the first time. My grandfather's armoire was scraped at the top during the move, sad to say

Everything turned out well. I thought they were very careful with our belongings and did what we asked. Nothing was broken. Everything turned out how I expected. The price was a little more than we expected but it was more involved than we anticipated. They didn't waste any time.

These men are the best. I have used them two other times and they always go above and beyond to help me.

Everyone at the company was very courteous and professional, from the person that came out to give me an estimate to the crew that showed up to do the move. Everything as far as furniture and breakables was wrapped very well and arrived in good shape. I would definitely recommend for local moves. Good job! Thanks!

They moved a bed and a few other pieces of furniture. They were excellent to work with.

They were on time and did pretty good job. However, they charged extra fee for fuel, etc which should be all included with the big deal. I had to call the office to get refund. A lady at the office was very nice and acknowledged about the deal, but the movers seemed they never trained, and had no idea about the Angie's list deal. Overall, they did good job on moving though.

The move was fantastic! Jr. & Bo called ahead to let me know their ETA and was right on time. Walked the house and listened to any special instructions I had for the move and was very attentive to my needs. They both were very courteous and friendly. Bo and Jr. worked continuously the entire time with no gaps in movement. They knew what the other was doing at all times which made the move seamless. Before we left the house they did a complete walk through to make sure they had complied with all of my needs and direction. When we reached the new destination we again took a walk-through the new house to give instructions as to where each piece would go, and again before they left. Asked if there was anything I needed changed before they left. Bo & Jr. made this dreaded day move flawlessly. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

The specific crew that moved out my room mate showed up on time, wrapped everything that could possibly get damaged, and were courteous and timely with their support. Very good service at a very good value.

It goes very well. They arrived on time and were very well organized. The job has been done perfectly.

Even though it took a week to finally get a response, they were very quick with the initial $85 an hour. I was adamant about the fact that we were not moving our entire house, merely a few heavy items that wouldn't be possible to move myself. After I made mention that I was getting a quote from another company later that week, he offered to come and do an in home estimate also, as it may be cheaper to do a flat rate. Awesome. My wife was home and she also let them know that we were basically hiring them to move, what would end up being 13 pieces of furniture. The largest of which weighed about 175lbs. Only 3 items were actually heavy, but we didn't want to mess with it ourselves (a couple of dressers, broken down bed frames with a couple mattresses as well as a sectional and TV stand) We were quoted for $1,400! 3 times the amount of the other two companies that had come out. Apparently customer service lacked throught out the brief 2 day encounter, since it was mentioned a few times that only a few items would be packed. I am sure that this is not the norm, but atleast pretend to pay attention after taking far too long to respond in the first place.

When Ronald, Gabe and NIgel arrived they asked for a tour of the items to be packed and moved. Then they went right to work with attention to detail and obvious care. If they had questions, they asked. They were friendly enough to make me comfortable but not so chatty as to distract them from their job. They told me they would take good care of me and that is exactly what they did. These three guys worked smart and efficiently with urgency of purpose but not frantically to make me nervous. This move was as painless as you can expect such a traumatic task to be. They set up my king sized bed and put items in specific areas that I requested. And they even gave ME an ice cold can of tea! Thanks guys!

I had stored all of my furniture and household effects after relocating from Virginia and I hired Arizona Discount Movers to move the items from storage to my new home in Goodyear. I hired this company solely based on the excellent reviews on Angie's List and I was not disappointed. Amy, one of the company's owners, provided excellent customer service, a fair price for the job, and abided by the contract terms we previously agreed on. (I had requested that the crew wrap my furniture pieces in blankets for protection, and that the doors and floors in my new home be protected during the move to avoid any scratches or other damage.) The moving crew, Jimmy and Simon, arrived on time, were congenial and professional, worked quickly and were very careful with my belongings. They were willing to put together my bed frames, sectional sofa, and do whatever else I asked, which made the move much less stressful. I highly recommend Arizona Discount Movers.

Fantastic company - the movers went above and beyond what we expected.

I am in transition between two houses, and I have been moving carloads of small stuff on my own. But I needed help to move the big, heavy pieces of furniture that I can't move myself. So I called AZ Discount Movers and described the job. There were not many items, and I had already taken them all apart to the extent possible to save some time and money in the move. I was surprised to hear that because it would only take about 2 hours that they could fit me in on the same day. Since this was really a last minute, short notice deal, I didn't mind that their last few jobs ran a little long and they showed up later than expected. They were in contact with me several times to keep me updated, which I appreciated. Jimmy and Adam showed up and were courteous and professional from start to finish. My furniture was wrapped up and carefully loaded, unloaded and placed where I wanted in the new house. This was their last job on a 15+ hour shift, and they did remarkably well. Everything was moved quickly with no damage, and there were no hidden charges or anything. The price I paid is what was quoted on the phone. These guys are the reason I will give my business to AZ Discount Movers again in the future. Thank you!

The movers were terrific (Chris, Myron and Roy). Super nice. They all seemed to really like each other and said that the company was a good place to work. They got it done on time and on budget and wrapped everything up nicely. I'm always amazed when I see movers doing their job. It is really, really hard work, especially when it's over 100 degrees outside. Would never hesitate to hire this company again.

After using ADM to move from our old house to our apartment and storage unit, we were thoroughly impressed by their work ethic, professionalism, punctuality and general service. I called ADM this time 3 days before our move...After letting them know I was an Angie's List subscriber, they quickly got me scheduled for our move even though they didn't have any open crews. On moving day, we were packed and ready to go. The items in our storage were still packed and wrapped from the last move, so the packing process should have gone very smoothly and quickly. We were scheduled for a 10 am to 1pm packing time. We were called before 10 that the crew was held up and that they were going to be there at about 2:30. We were called several times during our wait to let us know they were still coming out but late. Their communication with us was excellent even though we had to wait a bit more. On arrival at the apartment the 3 man crew quickly got to work. They disassembled all of the necessary furniture, wrapped up dressers and couches etc.....One of our crew men sustained a foot injury that severely hampered his movement. The packing process at the apartment took longer than expected, so to cut down on the additional hours my family helped unpack the truck and place things in the house. The crew had to put furniture back together that they did not disassemble, so extra time was added trying to figure out how some of my complex desk pieces fit back together. They reassembled it perfectly and safely so the hutch did not fall on our toddlers. The total time of move was nearly six hours. About half an hour more than the original pack and move. My wife and I weren't completely impressed with the second move process. I called ADM and spoke to Amy about our experience. Not only did Amy and Larry review our move, but they went out of their way to make sure we were completely satisfied with the service by refunding us money for the extra time it took to move us, as well as discounting the travel fee. They did WAY more for us than I believe most companies would do if I were unsatisfied as a customer, and I appreciate their willingness to make the deal "Right". It's very difficult to give ratings to a company that goes out of their way to make sure you're satisfied... Thank You.

We opted not to use this service provider specifically because we found a provider that had a better HOURLY rate, albeit a higher trip charge. After the 2hr minimum passed, we would net out a lower overall cost. The reason I'm writing this review is to let Angie's List members know that ARIZONA DISCOUNT MOVERS were EXCELLENT in responding back to my request for quote that I submitted through the AG's website. They were very prompt, professional and fairly competitively priced. Really appreciated that they were able to navigate my need to communicate electronically.

The job went smoothly, with everything completed within 2 hours.

I had trouble with communication with the office this time. They did not always return my calls and there was a mix up on when they were coming. The crew came the wrong day, then when they came back, they did not have enough time and had no room in their truck to pick up my addl items, so they came back the next day. They did a good job, though at the end, many boxes did not get placed in the correct locations. It had been a long day for them. But the garage had kitchen boxes and the dining room had bedroom clothing. I believe part of the reason, in addition to being tired and not stopping for breaks, was because all of the men did not understand or read English. These are the reasons I downgrraded the service to B, C, D. On both occasions when I used them, they were excellent packers, were neat , professional and efficient. My disappointment was mainly due to the scheduling issues.

We own group homes for medically fragile kids and we were moving six individuals to another group home. We have our nurses who transferred the kids, but we had these guys move hospital beds and furniture and stuff like that. They did a great job. We really needed to have the schedule right because these kids have medical needs and we had it all taken care of, it was done fine.

The move got off to a rocky start due to some technical issues. The mover's GPS was not working and neither of the movers had working cell phones. They called me from a pay phone about mile and half from my house. I gave them directions, but they got lost in the neighborhood. Eventually they stopped at a Circle K and I went to get them so they could follow me to the house. Also I thought there were going to be 3 movers, but there were only 2. Once we got past the initial confusion the 2 movers that AZDM sent got right to work, packed up the truck, and the 3rd mover that I was expecting wasn't missed. When they got to the new house they moved everything in quickly and did a great job at getting all of the heavy, bulky, pine furniture for the master bedroom to the 2nd floor. They thoroughly wrapped and padded everything, so nothing was damaged during the move. After the move was complete the movers contacted their office to make sure that the billing was correct and I wasn't paying for 3 movers. The movers at AZDM were worth every penny.

I'm a single woman, so moving is really overwhelming, even a small apartment! This company made that task very do-able. Showed up about 15 minutes later than scheduled time, but called ahead to tell me of approximate arrival. Was not charged for it, either. Very personable and best of all, the price was lower than I expected!
