About us
Alien Air Conditioning and Heating. We are a Green company, we properly recycle everything that involves our company, from freon to copper. We are an APS and SRP (your utility company) qualified contractor. What that means is that APS Qualified Contractors are licensed, bonded and insured members of the Arizona Heat Pump Council, and are committed to a rigorous continuing education program for their service technicians. We perform a load calculation on all new installs, and our technicians follow a complete checklist from beginning to end so I, the owner, can make sure every install is done perfectly. I have my technicians take before and after pictures for my customers. After installation I do a follow up to make sure the install was done correctly, the jobsite is clean and the customer is satisfied. We are a referral driven company, so you the customer are always completely satisfied and proud to recommend us to other people. I am working with property managers like Prudential, Mode Commercial, etc... I have testimonials from actual customers with phone numbers, and I am dedicated to customer service. Their prices were in the normal range and competitive with everybody else. I felt they reasonably priced. They were really good until the last visit, they had a little bit of an attitude, and so I was not too happy with that. I would use them again.

I encountered a problem installing a Nest Thermostat in my home. I looked on line at the Nest site and Alien Air Conditioning was listed as a qualified installer. I then looked on Angie's list and saw the A ratings for Alien. I talked to Chris Anderson, explained the issue and the fact that we had not had our system inspected since we purchase the home 1.5 years ago. Chris dispatched a technician the same afternoon, he quickly diagnosed the problem with the installation, completed the work and inspected and serviced the Air Conditioning system. My wife and daugher were home during the visit and said the gentlemen who came was very professional, knew exactly what the issue was and then walked them through the inspection he performed as well as the maintenance program offered by Alien. We are signing up with them now for bi-anual inspection of our system. Angie's List and the Nest recomendation worked for us. We highly recomend Alien Air Conditioning.

Arrived on time, went up on the roof for initial inspection. They then sat down with me and explained their proposal; the technician took photos up there so that I could see exactly what he was describing. He then conferred with his home office and drew up a detailed proposal. I called back a couple of days later, said "yes," and then we set up a date. The workmen and the crane showed up on time, and the work was done on time. As I said, these guys were the lowest bid, and I can't imagine that spending more would have gotten me a single silly thing.

This review is late but well deserved. I waited 2 days for two different AC companies to return my call after my air conditioner failed during the hottest and most humid days in July. I had to send my kids away to a family member with air conditioning so they wouldn't have to suffer. In a desperate moment, I signed up for Angie's List and figured if it's worth paying for, the reviews must be good. Alien Air Conditioning had wonderful reviews and they weren't too far from my home. The technician was 1/2 hour early, was honest about exactly what he was doing and what I would (or would not) be charged for. He was very efficient and didn't rush! Found what was wrong with my air conditioner, fixed it, didn't charge me and even gave me two free air filters! Of course there was other work that had to be done that I was glad to pay for because their prices are very reasonable. Again, efficient and honest. This kind of service is impossible to find these days especially in the summer months in Arizona. Paying for Angie's list was definitely an investment and I will be looking to them as well as Alien Air Conditioning in the future! Thanks Alien Air! Your service is literally out of this world!!,

When I originally called they mentioned that they were busy and I couldn't get an appointment. I let them know that I had a leak so they were able to get to my home within an hour. They were able to find the issue, explained the problem and took care of the issue right away.

Michael came out and did an energy audit and annual servicing of our two a/c units. He throughly explained all the issues and his recommendations. I was very happy with the work that he did. Later in the month, one of the somehting stopped working (he had mentioned that one of the parts was on its last legson). It was during a heat wave but he fit me in at the end of the day on a Friday and the unit was repaired quickly. It kept us cold the rest of the summer. We were very happy with the service we received.

I was out of town for most of the summer and my tenants were having intermittent problems with the AC over a 10 day period, forcing them into a hotel (and forcing me to pay!). My old ac company had just charged me $600 in repairs and now they wanted $875 to replace the compressor - under warranty! I was very frustrated. So I called around. Sun Devil never returned my calls! Alien, on the other hand, called me right back and replaced the unit the next day. Their price was a few hundred dollars less than my old company quoted me for total replacement. I went with the 13 SEER, which is much better than the old unit, because I couldn't take the federal tax credit since the house is a rental. In addition, Alien added a 10 year parts and labor warranty for 3-4 hundred (still cost less than the other quote which only had a parts warranty). They were super fast, responsive, and professional. Total turnaround time was less than 24 hours, including a new elbow. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

It was a great experience. We had bids and met about four other potential companies. Many of the people we met were merely bidding the job and not actually technicians or owners of their companies. The previous unit that had been installed incorrectly and many items had to be redone. The bids from all of the other companies were higher (some slightly, some a lot). All of the previous bids were for 13 seer. When we asked about a 15 seer he explained that with the rebate from APS it would be @ $200.00 net difference to us after the rebate. My opinion is that a tenant that pays a lower electrical bill is likely to be more satisfied with their overall rent and more capable of paying rent too. If it was our primary residence then we would also have qualified for a $1500.00 (i think) Federal tax break, alas, it is not. Alien did the required load calculations for APS and he's processing all of the paperwork for the rebate. He's a APS & SRP certified contractor He completed the work very quickly. He photographs everything as soon as he arrives and upon completion.
