I can't say enough good things about Mike and his crew! We recently had an issue with our AC, and another company tried to scam us by insisting we needed a new unit that would cost $8600. Thankfully, Mike came to the rescue. He thoroughly inspected our system and assured us that a new unit wasn't necessary. Instead, both of them expertly fixed the problem, saving us a significant amount of money. Mike's and his crew honesty and professionalism are truly commendable. Highly recommend his services! Excellent! Chris provided a choice of solutions based on the age of the current AC unit, with no pressure to pursue either choice, only the pros and cons of pursuing either route. No pressure either to choose one manufacturer over another. No pressure either to purchase a maintenance plan, simply explained the cost vs benefits, which, frankly, make perfect sense in this climate.

Everything was fine. They sent pictures of our furnaces and made suggestions on how to make our home more energy efficient. Included in the summary were the SRP rebates for the work that they recommended. We received a follow up call to see if we had any questions.

We have used them before, and that was why we used them again. And still use them to provide maintenance twice a year. My wife and I were driving somewhere in Oklahoma on our way to a Midwest vacation. Or so we thought. It was a Saturday when we received a text from our tenants -- the air conditioner had died and it was 110 degrees outside. Luckily they had family in town they could stay with during the replacement. We new the aged air conditioner was on its last legs, but it was working well and we had hoped to get another couple of years out of it before we had to replace it. Our rental townhouse was built in the 1970's. We called Alien on Saturday. Did I mention it was a Saturday. Someone was at the townhouse within a coupe of hours and assessed the situation -- the air conditioning system was dead on arrival. It was an old system and was still using a refrigerant that was no longer allowed for new systems -- it meant we also had to replace the still functioning air handler. Such is Federal compliance. By Sunday we had an estimate for installation of a new system. By Tuesday night our tenants were back in the townhouse, cool and grateful to be back -- going back home to live with mom and dad for a couple of days was ok, but, it wasn't home anymore. It was an incredible piece of mind to know that we could depend on Alien Air Conditioning to quickly and efficiently do the right job for a reasonable price, I say that with confidence because we have been using them for a couple of years for maintenance and had them replace out air conditioning system at our house two years ago (two air conditioners and two air handlers). For that project we had the advantage of time. Our 22 year old system was working, but maintenance costs were indicating it was time for a replacement. We checked a total of seven different air conditioning services and had four of them come to our house to provide an estimate (including the company we had been using for maintenance for the prior ten years). Alien air conditioning was an easy decision. The person who provided the estimate was the person who was hear installing the new system and not a salesman whom we would never see again. We are and continue to be a satisfied customer. This may age me a little bit, but, Alien Air Conditioning "You Rock!!"

The technician arrive on time. He conducted the inspection of the unit and gave a written report. The next day he sent photos of the readings that were indicated in the report. He explained some possible areas of concern to my wife and indicated services that were available to address those concerns. No pressure, just information.

Alien Air Conditioning was a referral from a friend whom I now owe a significant favor. I called on Monday morning following a weekend without a/c and 110˙ + temperatures. The kids and I had already holed up in a nearby hotel and with my wife out of town on business, getting the problem fixed was a matter of considerable urgency. I was greeted by a very friendly and professional voice on the phone. Given this was one of the first big Arizona heat blasts of the Summer, I was expecting a 2-3 day wait for service. But I was told a technician would be out that same afternoon. A couple hours later, I got a call advising that the technician would be held up on a previous job and that another technician would be rerouted to accommodate. Dropping the ball on the projected time of service is practically an industry standard. I was very impressed that Alien Air Conditioning put promptness in such high regard. It's just good service. I got a call from Jose a short time later to tell me he was about 20 minutes out. So far, so good. In just a few minutes after arriving, Jose had confirmed the diagnosis and ordered the requisite parts. Although the job necessitated leaving the unit partially disassembled, he left the area very tidy. As promised, he was back the next morning with the motor and had it installed in short order. I was very impressed by Jose and his professional, efficient manner. I will ask for him by name in the future and will absolutely recommend Alien Air Conditioning. He had the whole job wrapped up and the invoice in my hand in just about an hour. The air was back on and the temperature in the house dropped quickly. Top notch work all around. I own rental property and sit on an HOA Board of Directors. I'll be back.

The service gentleman was polite and professional. He sealed all the ducts and cleaned up after himself. He was friendly to my dogs.

Our heat pumps (AC Units) were over twenty years old and showing signs of their age. Both were working fine, however, repair bills were beginning to mount and we did not want to suffer a catastrophic breakdown in the middle of summer and be forced to make a quick decision. We had estimates from five different companies, including the one we had a maintenance agreement. That company had been servicing our AC units for about five years. Of the five companies we had narrowed our choices down to three. All three were reputable companies and we were sure they would have done adequate jobs. But it was Alien Air Conditioning that answered all of our questions and offered the most beneficial advice. We are not experts. We would also like to think we are not stupid. It was Alien Air that did the best job of explaining what we needed, why we needed it, and that they would do a good job. We awarded them the contract, and then discovered that they were also the cheapest. We did not want to suffer quality of equipment or workmanship based on price. We didn't have to. Also, Mike who provided us a quote and answered all the questions, was also the one who did the install. One thing we have learned and still have trouble with when getting estimates for home repair work is that the nice salesman who provides the estimate is rarely involved in the actual work. This was a major factor in our final decision. A further benefit, was that Alien Air dismantled the old and the new air handler so that it would fit through our attic entrance. All other companies were going to tear out the upstairs air screen space to fit the air handlers. They would repair the drywall when done, but we would have to paint. Which meant matching the paint. The AC Units have been working flawlessly for the last couple of weeks and we are very satisfied with our new Trane Units and the workmanship of Alien Air. Post Script: We also have a rental property. The other company we had a maintenance agreement with was at the townhouse and said they needed $1,000 to slap two pounds of refrigierant and to do some cleaning. I asked what if it is leaking. He responded that when the come back out in six months they would check the refrigerant to see if it was leaking. We no longer have a maintenance contract with them. I called alien air - they went out took a ton of pictures and evaluated the unit. They recommended a repair strategy and said if it doesn't work, we would have to replace the AC Unit and air handler. He gave us prices on both. We asked him to try and repair it, our tenants were not getting any heat from the unit. Needless to say, Alien got it fixed. It cost about $2,000.. But it is repaired, and when Alien does the maintenance on it in six months, They may be checking for leaks, but I don't think they will find any. And when the unit is no longer abe to be repaired, Alien will be replacing it.

They were very nice and did a great job. No pressure to do a bunch of other stuff, just gave me the information and will let me decide.

Bill and Eugene did an amazing job under very difficult circumstances. Now the system is performing much better. We would not hesitate to use Alien again. Thank you guys!

All around great guys. Was told they could install a fan motor and new fan blades on the upcoming Friday. The work was completed by that Thursday.

Arrived on time, Excellent work, friendly, experienced and took the time to explain how the Nest thermostat worked and how to use it, also set all its functions and cleaned up. They also inspected my AC unit and explained any work they suggested I have done sent me a detailed email report with suggestions and pictures and prices. I will use them again and recommend them to family and friends

They were punctual, clean, friendly, and knowledgeable. They explained things well. They showed me additional work that could be done and different possible thermostat choices, but did not pressure for an up-sell. I would call them again.

First of all Chris and his tech were great. They were friendly, professional and actually took care of something that I didn't even know was an issue. We bought a new house about 8 months ago and one of the AC units is an original 20 year old unit. I wanted to get it serviced as it had been chilly out and I was thinking of turning it on. However, since I had no idea of the status of the unit I wanted to have it service. Angie's list had a great promotion for a heating inspection with Alien Air so I took advantage of it. Within the two day window Chris, got a hold of me and scheduled to come out on New Year's Eve morning. He and a tech arrived on time and were both super friendly. They actually found an issue with the thermostat being wired backwards and fixed it free of charge. They did a very thorough inspection and answered all my questions. I had Chris price both just some repairs and replacing the new unit all together. I received two professional estimates that were easy to understand. The pricing is on point with what I was expecting for a new unit. I was really pleased with Alien Air and their service. When I make a decision on whether to repair or replace I will definitely being giving Alien a call. These guys are awesome!!

Overall, the service was good. The guy who came was willing to answer all of my questions about the system and was very nice and professional. There was a misunderstanding about the price, my understanding based on the description of the deal was that the coupon would cover an inspection for the entire heating system. However, when they arrived they informed me that it was only good for one furnace and that we would have to pay double for the inspection of entire system. Also, the service tech said that they were not even aware that there was a deal through Angies list available. When we looked over the coupon, they agreed that it was not clear and only charged me for one of the systems. I was happy that they were reasonable and with the over all service, but the misleading coupon should be fixed.

Their prices were in the normal range and competitive with everybody else. I felt they reasonably priced. They were really good until the last visit, they had a little bit of an attitude, and so I was not too happy with that. I would use them again.

The Alien representative that showed up had absolutely no business being the "face" of the company--he was surly, unprofessional, and arrogantly argumentative. While all the other contractors we met with did a thorough inspection, listening intently to what we wanted, the Alien rep didn't stay for more than 6 minutes--hardly enough time to learn exactly what we needed--especially for a renovation project. It was clear he was in one heck of a hurry to leave. As he was starting for his truck--I asked--Is that it? He said, I have all I need. Really? I asked him if he had our email address in order to send a bid, to which he replied, yes we do. If the idiot had any sense, he would have asked and/or verified if I provided our email address to the office when I called to schedule the visit. The fact is I never provided my email address to anyone at the company. And no one phoned us to ask for our email address. No follow up whatsoever. Needless to state, based on the actions and unprofessionalism of the representative from Alien, there was no way we would have hired this company anyway, even if they had sent us a bid--which they didn't. This was a HUGE red flag for us. We can only imagine what their work would have been like. Perish the thought. With all the HVAC competition in the Valley--you would think the owner of the company would put more thought into who he sends out to represent his company--especially when being invited to bid and/or trying to mine new business. Alien was a TOTAL waste of my valuable time. As contractors ourselves, we know how important it is to make certain prospective clients are treated professionally. Following up with the client is also an absolute must. It makes all the difference. After all, perception is reality. These guys were a complete JOKE!

I encountered a problem installing a Nest Thermostat in my home. I looked on line at the Nest site and Alien Air Conditioning was listed as a qualified installer. I then looked on Angie's list and saw the A ratings for Alien. I talked to Chris Anderson, explained the issue and the fact that we had not had our system inspected since we purchase the home 1.5 years ago. Chris dispatched a technician the same afternoon, he quickly diagnosed the problem with the installation, completed the work and inspected and serviced the Air Conditioning system. My wife and daugher were home during the visit and said the gentlemen who came was very professional, knew exactly what the issue was and then walked them through the inspection he performed as well as the maintenance program offered by Alien. We are signing up with them now for bi-anual inspection of our system. Angie's List and the Nest recomendation worked for us. We highly recomend Alien Air Conditioning.
