, This was a satisfying experience from start to finish. 1. A real human being answered the phone. Upon hearing my problem, he said that the representative in my area (Gilbert) would call back within an hour. 2. The call back came within an hour and we set an appointment for between 11:30 and 1:30 on the same day 3. The repairman (Robert) met the agreed upon appointment. 4. He quickly diagnosed our problem, showed me the defective part and the price for its replacement in the catalogue. 5. He explained that he did not have the part on hand but could come back in two days to complete the repair 6. He met the agreed upon date and successfully made the repair.

After this company said they could not make the repair, my calls to the home warranty company and eventually the manufacturer finally resulted in the repair which was eventually made by the manufacturer. I thought the repairman was honest and fair, but he did not have the opportunity to do the repair for us. We ended up cancelling the home warranty because it seemed that they didn't cover most things that broke.

Refrigerator is working very well since the work was completed.

Was having a problem with my dishwasher... very strange noise during the wash cycle. Took a crack at figuring out what was going on myself. Knew what I was doing but got a bit pressed for time as I had to travel on business the next day and didn't want to leave my wife without a dishwasher for another 5 days, so I decided to pitch in the towel and get some help. I had narrowd down the root cause to either a frayed wire or bad motor. Called and got a quote from the owner. Completely disclosed that the dishwasher was partly disassmebled at the moment and there was one part that I was not 100% sure how to put back (a grommti that needed to be either face-up or face-down). Owner didn't think it would be much of an issue, gave me a worst-case quote for if the motor was bad (which was a reasonable price) and I agreed to do it. When the tech to perform the work called, he freaked out because the dishwasher was partly disassembled, but that it was about a 10-15 minute activity to re-assemble what was apart, provided he could determine which way the grommit needed to go. So the tech called the owner back up and talked him into turning down the work. I asked if he woudl even come out and look to see if it was beyond what he thought he could handle and hestarted talking about needing to protect their reputation, etc, so he wouldn't even come look. We din't get further than this, but just really disapointed (especially after reading the stellar reviews to date) that they wouldn't even come and look at what they were dealing with. I would have been perfectly happy to pay a service call fee for them to look and make an assessment, even if at that point they turned down the work. I would have even been OK if they had said they needed to charge me extra for having to do investigative work to put back together what I took apart. So I gave them a 'C' because the initial price quote was good, they were quick to respond, but dropped the rating because the owner (who in my opinion had the right mindset to start) listened to his tech and bailed out. I really got the sense that the tech was more worreid about taking a job that wasn't a straight-forward, 20 minutes in-and-out job than the reputation. You don't hurt your reputation at all by going to look and see what you are dealing with. Since it took about 1/2 the day and there was basically no time left before I had to leave for my business trip, I decided to guess which way the grommit went in, fix the frayed wire, put it together, and see if that fixed the problem. This fixed the problem and the dishwasher has worked fine since that date.

They were prompt. They fixed the problem right away. They did what they said they were going to do. I would recommend them. I used them in the past and I am going to use them again.

I was interested in learning about the diagnostics on my machine and they took the time to show me how to run them in the future. I really appreciated their time as previous repair people have never offered. I didn't even realize the information to run diagnostics was stored inside my washer area vs. being in my handbook. They took the time to clean my machine and left me with wipes and tablets to use in the future. Frontloading machines are notorious for getting very smelly if not cleaned correctly so I apreciated getting the cleaner. I would highly recommend this company and will use them for any and all appliance repairs I have in the future.

I hired Affordable Appliance Repair to repair a cracked broiler glass in my double oven, as well as some hinges in my lower oven that were not shutting all of the way. They came out and did an initial quote/visit, and told me that they would call me the next day with an accurate cost and suggested install date. They took a deposit and left. After not hearing from them for around 2 weeks, I called and spoke to the office. I was informed that the parts were on their way from Viking, but would not be there for another week or so. I still wasn't sure what parts had been ordered (just the broiler glass or the whole broiler unit). But they assured me that they would get back to me. When the parts finally arrived, they came to the house to install them. While they were present, they seemed very professional. They used blankets to protect the tile and seemed to be taking great care. They informed me that they had to order the entire broiler unit, to the tune of $700 or so. But I needed it fixed, so I authorized them to go ahead. However, once they left, I discovered two large gashes in my cabinets where they had used some sort of prying tool to remove the double ovens from their cabinet. They are two very large grooves that will be very difficult to cover. Also, and more importantly, I discovered that my kitchen island was crooked. The whole island had been knocked so hard that the ENTIRE THING had shifted. It was now about 1.5 inches off, as was evidenced by the variation in the tile. They must have hit it very hard to get the entire thing to shift like that. I had to bring in a repair man to get it shifted back. It took two guys to knock it back into place. I understand that accidents happen during the course of repairs, but I would hope that if they really knocked the island that hard, they would have alerted the homeowner. Really, they weren't bad. But I'm disappointed about the large grooves left in the cabinets and the island mess. For $900 worth of service, I would hope for a flawless install or at least a heads up that there was damage. I didn't like "discovering" it after they had already left.

I was very pleased with the service I received. I felt that although no actual repair was done I was able to correctly make a decision to replace rather than repair. I trust this company.

Great job.. will definately use them again. This business understands that if you treat the clients right they will grow.

He showed me in a little book what the retail price of the icemaker was $342 or around that. He said he would give me 15% off of that. And I got 5% more off for being a repeat customer. Well after he left I looked up the price of these icemakers and they go for about $133 and he probably gets a discount from that. So he charged me like $150 + in labor. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I will not use this company again and I would advise others to do their homework on what parts cost because they are severely upcharging people.

They were okay, but I was not totally happy with the effort they put in to line the microwave up with the with the oven. The oven had to be pulled out entirely and then when they put it back, it didn't quite line up the way it did before. However, they were excellent to deal with on a person-to-person basis.

See above description for the positive experience I had with the appliance repair person. This is my third time using Affordable Appliance Repair. The name is "right on." AFFORDABLE and APPLIANCE WAS REPAIRED.

Technician diagnosed the problem then it only took five minutes to fix after he explained the problem.

I sent them information about what I needed done using their "contact us" link on their website. I was never contacted by them.

Jerry arrived on time, was polite, professional, and knowledgeable about appliances. He did not have a new part with him, but diagnosed the problem with a similar part. This required him to make a second trip out to my house, and once again he arrived in a timely manner and even went the extra mile to reschedule at my convenience. While taking the machine apart to install the part, he found another small repair item which he included without charging extra. The washer is running better than ever, it was a great experience from beginning to end. I even learned a few things about washer maintenance and minor repairs as an added bonus.

I called Affordable Appliance Repair and talked directly to Don. Don was able to have a repairman come out the same day. The repairmen arrived on time, were very professional and courteous. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it faster and cheaper than I ever expected (which is always a nice thing). Thank you guys!

They were very informed and provided advice on how to prevent the same issue coming up in the future (hard water buildup). The gentleman was very professional and I would use them the next time a major appliance breaks down.

They were courteous and prompt. I think they were reasonably priced. It was expensive because of the part. It was good. They seemed honest and they were someone you could trust.

It went well, he did come out on short notice and made an evening call. I appreciated that.

We contacted Affordable because they charged considerably less than the manufacturer for a service call and also would apply the service call fee toward repair costs. Carlos arrived on time and clearly was familiar with our cooler. He explained before starting the analysis that the problem could be the compressor which is costly to repair. He was very thorough and explained what he was doing during his examination. After checking out the system he felt that the problem was low freon. He added freon and explained that the problem could also be the compressor but for now we should go with adding the freon to see if that solved the problem. So far the cooler has been working fine. He also stated that if it wasn't working and we had to replace the compressor that a portion of what we had paid this time would be deducted from the cost of the compressor. I felt Carlos was very honest as he could have easily told us it was the compressor in order to get the more costly repair job. Additionally we asked him a question about our clothes dryer which kept running after timed cycles. He suggested that possibly our "start" dial was stuck which solved the problem immediately(we had another repair service tell us a fix would cost several hundred dollars). I would definitely use this service again.
