The Service Tech called first to make sure I was home and stated that he would be at my house in about 20 minutes. He had no problem finding my house, as some other service techs have had in the past . I didn't know whether it was the timing knob or the entire timing mechanism that needed to be replaced but within a very short amount of time he discovered that it was the timing knob. He tested the dryer and it worked the way it has for the past 18 years. The service call was reasonable and I would not hesitate to call them again when I have another problem.

Prior to ordering our new microwave, I checked with Doug at Affordable Appliance to ensure that their company could perform its installation. Not only could they install our oven, but they would also detach our broken oven from the cabinet over the stove and haul it away. The store wanted to charge $129 plus a $10 haul away fee---Doug's quote was for a flat fee of $125. Once my oven arrived, I made an appointment with Affordable for it's installation. Doug arrived exactly on time and was extremely personable, friendly, and knowledgible. The old oven was quickly removed, the new oven was unwrapped, and then....it wouldn't fit because my back-splash tile was 3/16's of an inch too high. Although the Whirlpool microwave was the same cu. feet and same length as the Samsung (which I would never buy again---the average customer review is 1 star and it was an expensive piece of junk), the Whirlpool was just a smidge longer. Doug was so nice. Although I offered to pay for his service call fee then, we agreed to simply work it into the bill when he returns to finish the installation. I am getting back to Affordable Appliance once we have that 3/16's of an inch cut from our back-splash--he even marked the cut-line with masking tape so that the handyman will know exactly where to trim that tile. Needless to say, I am a huge fan of all at Affordable Appliance Repair.

The overall experience was great. I call this morning at 8 am, Don answered the phone, I explained the problem to him. He informed me that Robert is the technician that handles the east side and he would be calling to arrange a time to visit. Robert called said he would be here between 10 am and 12 pm.. He showed up at 10 am introduced himself professorially, I told him the problem, he took one look knew what the problem was, quoted me a price out of a replacement manual which I thought fair and replaced the switch. He cleaned up after himself and left. I would diffidently recommend these guys to anyone who needs a appliance repair.

Two servicement came on time 24 hours after I called. They diagnosed the problem (lack of freon) and recharged the freon. Then they left- it took about 4 5minutes.

He came out on a Saturday to determine what was wrong with my clothes washer. He determined the drum needed replacing and gave me an estimate of repacing the drum and purchasing a new machine. I decided to replace the drum. He returned the following Tuesday to replace the drum. Because the drum was stuck he had a lot of difficulty in removing the old drum. But he stayed with it, got the job done to my satisfaction and stayed within his initial estimate even though it took a lot longer to remove the drum than he originally estimated.

both calls were handled professionally, on time and at a reasonable cost. we have recommended them to others.

Robert came right out as promised, found the problem immediately, and had the freezer repaired and running within 30 minutes of his arrival. Very polite, friendly, and professional. I was told the price before the work was done, and provided a comparison chart on the price the distributor would charge, which was well over what Affordable charged me. The faulty part that was replaced was returned to me for inspection. We paid exactly what we were told we would pay. We will definitely use Affordable Appliance for any future appliance maintenance needs. Great experience.

Had appt set for weekend between 11-1. At 20 minutes till 1pm, I called to attempt to confirm appt and that someone would be on the way. At 20 minutes after 1pm, I called again to attempt to find out if anyone was coming out. Both attempts to call I had to leave a msg. Its now after 2pm and no call, no show. No money spent, but definately cost me my time. This is the 2nd "A" rated appliance repair company thru Angie's list I have scheduled with only to be disappointed and not have anyone show up at the appt time. Beginning to wonder if anyone is worth an "A" rating. Owner did call and left message to offer apology for the scheduling mix-up.....could have blown us off completey, so its appreciated.

We have a fairly new Mayatg Gas dryer that had faulty coils in it, and would not stay heated. When I called early in the moring, they got back to me in a very short amount of time, and scheduled the repairman to arrive shortly afterward. He was obviously knowledgable, and identified the problem immeadiately. He also cleaned out the interior of the dryer of all lint and dust build up. The only thing is that this service is pricey, but then again you pay the price to have it done the same day, and minimize the inconveniece you have to deal with otherwise.

Called and was quickly connected with the repair man who was going to come out. He was able to come out within a few hours. Within five minutes he had discovered the problem and within a half hour the washer was fixed. Very professional and friendly.

The experience with them was awesome. It was really good. They came out immediately, they identified the problem, they advised us about whether it was a good repair to do or not. And they came back the next day and repaired our refrigerator. He really explained to us what the parts were in the refrigerator and what could go out, and what kind of shape the other parts were in, so that we could make an informed choice.

Called the owner who immediately dispatched my call to the technician in my area, Chris. Chris called me within 10 minutes to discuss problem, then set up an appointment for the next day. He was very professional and helpful on the phone, gave me a 2 hour window for his arrival. He called 1/2 hour before his arrival - a VERY considerate thing to do in my book. He got right to work, checked our non working ice maker, determined it was broken and not reparable. Replaced it with a new one at $100 below book value!! He was extremely helpful, competent, friendly and top notch professional! I trusted him completely. He didn't try to upsell me in any fashion, just took care of the problem at hand. A few days later, I noticed ice maker not making ice again. I called Chris back and he went out of his way to trouble shoot the problem. He then called the manufacturer to get down to the possible problem, and called me back to inform me of his conversation with the manufacturer. He set up another appt. to come back out. On that same evening, siily me noticed that the ice maker was turned off - which was the obvious root of the problem. I called Chris back to let him know and he was so gracious and understanding.....not making me feel like fool for not noticing it was off. He told me the ice should start being made again in about 4 hours and to give him a call in the morning if ice bucket is not full. Happy to report the ice maker is working perfectly, making plenty of ice. This is an absolutely wonderful company to deal with!!! I was so pleased with every aspect of the interaction with Don, the owner, and Chris, the technician. I highly, highly recommend them for their top notch quality work, fair prices, honesty, dependability, punctuality, consideration and friendliness. It's a pure joy and delight to find businesses like this!!

When I first called the person who answered the phone was very nice and was able to have someone come out that night. Carlos was very professional and personable. He took the time to make sure I understood what he was doing. He was able to figure other issues that I had going on with the water dispenser. It did start to leak, but he was able to stop it and even cleaned up the water that ended up inside the freezer and the floor. He was able to give me an estimate on the cost if I wanted it fixed at a different time. All in all, Carlos did a fantastic job!

They were fine. They came in, did the job and didn’t waste any time. They cleaned up after themselves. There was nothing that I disliked about them. Their price was reasonable. Their quality of service was fine and I had absolutely no problem at all. They apologized for being late and everything was fine after that.

They were in and out in no time. Very polite and will use them again.

Locking mechanism stopped working on oven. Initially we had some problems with the first person that came out - he was confused, ordered the wrong, and never got back to us when the part came in. Affordable Appliance was very apologetic and sent a new person with the correct part and resolved the problem quickly. Price was reasonable/fair and our oven is now locking again!

Don (owner) answered the phone right away and gave me the name of the technician that would be contacting me. Less than an hour later the technician (Robert) called me, got my information and scheduled the visit for the next day. He fixed the problem right away and stayed to make sure that the repair worked. Within minutes the ice maker broke again. The problem was that there is a small plastic piece that keeps the auger in place. The plastic piece was breaking and then the auger would either spin ineffectually or not spin at all. Robert made a call and realized that all the parts in the auger drive needed to be replaced, or you can just purchase another bucket with auger. He contacted his parts supplier and put one on hold for me at his price and did not charge me for the part that broke, or a visit since he could not fix it on the spot. I picked up the bucket, at significant savings, and now the ice maker works the way it did when we purchased the refrigerator almost 10 years ago. Affordable was polite and professional throughout the entire process. I will use Affordable Appliance Repair in the future and highly recommend them.

Let me start off by saying the only reason that I didn't give them a rating of "F" is because both people I spoke with were very nice. I first contacted them on Dec. 10 at 9:00 am. Finally received a return call at approximately 2:00 pm. While speaking with that person he told me what he thought the problem was and they'd be happy to come out and take a look. I decided not to have them come out at that time because the dryer was under warranty and needed to contact the manufacturer. On Dec. 17 I contacted them again to schedule an appointment to have the dryer repaired. The receptionist I spoke with took my name and number and said that she would have a technician call me, I never received a call back.

Affordable Appliance Repair were punctual, they had the part needed when they came, efficient, there was no delay, friendly, and accommodating in terms of the service call. I chose them based on their rating on Angie's List. I would definitely use them in the future.

The tech replaced our control board, and we were sure that's what the problem was. On using the washer several days later (I do laundry on weekends). The washer would not function. We called them and the tech showed up later that day, performed a simple board reset and the washer has been working perfect ever since. Job well done.

The refridge at my tenants condo was not working at all. I looked on Angies list & saw that Affordable Appliance had a good rating & many good reviews, so I called to schedule an appointment. Everyone I dealt with frorm this company was knowledgeable, courteous & professional. The Tech showed up on time, diagnosed the problem & returned later the same day to install the replacement part. I definitely plan to use this company for my future appliance repair needs. Thanks!

I had Affordable Appliance Repair come out to fix my washing machine and they did a fantastic job. What I was most impressed with was how fast they could come out (within the hour) and that they had the part they needed to fix it. I had called another company (East Valley) once before to fix my dryer and they did a good job, but I had to wait for them to order the part and once they had the part, I had to wait to be rescheduled. I also called them to fix my washing machine, they came out and said the same thing. I have to order the part and then reschedule you to replace the part. As soon as they get the part they don't come straight out and replace it, they schedule you like a new customer. Literally it would take days to get it fixed. Mind you I waited 3 days for them to come out to begin with. I was so mad. So I called Affordable Appliance Repair and they said they could be out to my house within the hour, they had the part and it was the same price as the other company. I was so impressed with how nice and helpful they were and they really saved me so much time. I have 8 children and cannot be without a washing machine and dryer. I love Affordable Appliance Repair and would recommend them highly. Thank you Affordable Appliance Repair for saving me that day.
