The first time I call Affordable Appliance Repair, the owner answered right away. He requested that I provide him the model number of the refrigerator. I called back with the number, got voice mail, so I left the model number as part of the message. I was called back later in the day with the message "Please call me back". I attempted to call back three time over the next two days but got voice mail each time and no return call at all. I finally gave up and went to another company. Seems like this is a one man business, he must be too busy to return calls.

I said Googled the hinges while the repair man was there and found that they were only $60 on Maytag online - so wanted to order the hinges on my own and just pay for installation. The repair guy said it would be $175 for him to install them, PLUS what was advertised as a FREE service call (this one to diagnose the problem) was now going to cost $55. I told him that the ad on Angie's List said free service call and that the receptionist who scheduled the appointment did not tell me otherwise when I ask for the free service call. Apparently it's free ONLY when you buy their super expensive parts that the service call is free. I am fine with company's increasing parts cost to cover their labor - however I am REALLY not okay with hiding fees only to spring them on the customer later. This is really dishonest. I paid the $55 service call fee and told the repair man that I would not be using their service for the installation of the hinge.

Doug is very personable, and he replaced the ice maker the first day, leaving us with the old, but usable bucket, which he replaced the second day. Prompt, friendly service. He told me the price up front. Very professional. I have already called Affordable again for another repair.

I left a message and within 15 min I got a call back, the technician was very knowledgeable, we we're able to describe the problem and he figured it out over the phone. Advised us that the possible repair would be about the same price of purchasing a new washer. Very honest and professional. Will definitely use them for any issues I have in the future. It's nice to see that there are companies out there that care about the customer and not just about making money out of them. Plus a charge of only $55. for a service call can't be beat if you use them!!

service was great, repairman was knowledgeable and friendly. he was honest about the replacement of the ice maker. he told me that in about six months this will need to be replaced so i just had him do it while he was there.

Great service! Investigated the problem. Informed me what the issue was and what it would cost to fix it. Only problem was part had to be ordered from vendor directly so that took almost 2 weeks but they came out promptly and completed the work.

The serviceman was so nice and he did a great job on the repair. I thought he went above and beyond what he needed to do.

Prompt call back after first contact - by owner. Scheduled technician for the next afternoon. Technicians were prompt, and thorough. They showed me what the problem was; a quick internet search revealed that this particular refrigerator has many power supply board problems. Went through pricing in great detail. Didn't hassle me about wanting to use credit card. Gave me the old part and explained part and labor warranty to me. All in all a VERY GOOD experience.

Very prompt service. Replaced part in refrigerator. They already had part needed on the truck. Very honest and professional. Manny explained what needed to be done. I will definitely call them again.

They were on-time and honest. Could have charged us for a whole compressor but told us that a "hard start kit" would fix the problem and get us through another few years with our refrigerator!

This repair of the refrigerator was performed by tech Chris. I have had one additional minor repair on a washer as well. In both visits Chris was on time, very knowledgeable of both appliances - very courteous and professional. I asked him to repair a 17 year old washer and told him I could not spend very much money on the repair while our inherited house is in the probate process. The washer had only one temperature - HOT! He immediately diagnosed the problem and found that for the past 17 years the hot and cold valves had been reversed! He reversed the valves in five minutes and charged me for a diagnosis. This is a well run business from the initial phone call to the service visit . I commend the owner for hiring quality individuals with customer service skills.

I called shortly after 8 a.m. on Thursday May 9th, left a message and Don called back shortly. The appointment was scheduled for noon that very same day, and Kurt Rakowsky called to see if it was okay to come early. Wow! What a surprise! Polite and personal, I would absolutely have Kurt come back for any service issue - he was wonderful. And I will definitely call Affordable Appliance Repair again for any appliance repair I have. I am beyond happy with my experience!

They very quickly responded to my call and set up an appointment for the next day. They could have come out the same day but it wasn't that urgent for us. Our washing machine had a burning plastic smell. The repairman came out within in the time specified and called about 20 minutes prior to his arrival to let me know he was coming. He was very professional and polite. He identified the problem quickly and was able to repair it then. The price was within what we were willing to pay as our washer is already 9 years old. Great job! I would definitely recommend them in the future.

He worked quickly, but well. Knew what he was doing. Vacuumed out dust and linter before putting the dryer back together. He was professional, but friendly. The price was very reasonable.

I called to get service on my washing machine. They scheduled a free appointment to come look at it. Over the phone I told them the model and problem. He advised me the issue sounded like a certain part needed to be replaced and the way the manufacture built that unit it would require replacing the tub assembly. He looked up the price of the part for me and told me the price. I decided to cancel the service call and just bought a new washer. I would call them again if i needed service.

We had been putting off getting our whirlpool ice maker repaired for months. The ice bucket was frozen to the door, and the ice maker itself had stopped working. Our technician arrived today at 11 am, and by 11:30 am we were writing a check for the repairs. Our technician, Rene, was courteous and skilled at his craft. I highly recommend Affordable Appliance Repair!

Repairman came same day I called. He explained problem , fixed refrigerator, and told me how to prevent it in the future.

My Jenn-Air double wall oven stopped working and would not stop beeping. I had to shut off the power to the oven to stop the noise. When I looked at the available companies I was a bit overwhelmed. I recognized a name on the review list of a person I know and whose opinion I value - he recommended this company. I called and received same day service. Unfortunately, my oven was an older model and the part that was needed was no longer available. He also gently told me to beware of buying used appliances off of Craigslist. When I bought the used oven it never occurred to me to check the age of it. The promptness and professionalism of the repairperson made the situation more bearable. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

Wouldnt call anyone else for appliance repair!!! I called first thing in the morning, Robert called back within 5 minutes and had me scheduled for the same day. He was fast, professional, and talked me through everything had to do and my options. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND and even reset my ice maker on my fridge, which was a totally unrelated to the service call. Top Notch, and afforable!!!!

I called first thing in the morning to get some help installing appliances in our new house. Our dryer had the wrong power supply cord for the outlet. I spoke to Don, who was very courteous. He dispatched my call, and within minutes I received a call from Robert, who was the tech servicing my area that day. Two hours later he was on my doorstep. He installed my appliances quickly. As an afterthought, I asked him to take a look at a burner on our stove that wasn't working. It turned out that he had the part that was needed to repair the stove and switched it out lickety split. He was very friendly and professional throughout the experience. When I didn't have my Angie's List coupon ready, (we had just moved and I hadn't set up our printer yet) Robert gave me the discount anyway and offered to print out the coupon on his own printer and take it in to the office if I would just email it to him. Nice!

Dan took my call at 8:30' Carlos showed up at 10:20, and my refrigerator was back in service by 11:00. I couldn't be happier with the speed and, value, and quality of service. I have no problem with recommending this fine company and will use them again if I need major appliance repairs.
