Determined that spark actuator control panel for oven needed to be replaced. Serviceman called parts dealer, received price for control panel and informed homeowner of price ($400). Oven/range is 11 years old and, due to high price for control panel, homeowner opted not to repair the range/oven and will purchase a new replacement.

There was a mix up on the date they were to arrive. Once contacted Many apologized & a new date was immediately set. Manny and his helper were on time, efficient, professional and seemed to be knowledgeable of Asko. They dx the problem and fixed it within about one hour. They ran it through one cycle to ensure it was workiing properly and now full draining.

Roger answered right away and we had an appointment booked for the very next day. He was prompt, polite, and thorough, and gave me a lot of good advice on taking care of our appliances that I really appreciate being a new homeowner. He even cleaned out the ducts on the bottom! After a kitchen remodel, we are having issues with the RO system and icemaker line freezing. Roger was my first call, and he took a lot of time discussing possible issues and helping me to understand the way the systems function. I now have an appointment for the RO to be serviced as well as one with Roger immediately following to replace the fridge valve and get us up, running and worry free! I highly recommend North Valley Appliance, we will use his services whenever a need arises.

I called due to a good rating for a repair on my father's cooktop. My father recently died and I didn't know he had also called this company. The owner called me back, and based on the address he had figured out that he'd already been to check the cooktop and that it couldn't be repaired. He gave me the name of a company for a replacement cooktop and was very professional.

I called the provider to set up an appointment to repair our clothes dryer. Even though he could have come the next morning, i was unavailable, so was able to schedule the next day. I was given an approximate time that the technician would be there and he arrived promptly as promised. After spending some time working on the dryer, he informed me that the motor was gone and gave me an estimate as to what it would cost to replace. He also advised that even after replacing the motor, the computer board would probably go out in the near future as well. Based on his recommendation, I decided to forego the repair and buy a new dryer. I was very pleased with the service, and would use them again, as well as recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

The technician, Manny, listened to my problem and said that the refridgerator probably needed to reset itself and that he recommended I wait for a later appointment in the day just in case it began working again. He assured me my food would be okay as long as I kept the doors closed. He then told me to call him with an update after I had given it a few hours to sit. I came home from work at noon and checked the refridgerator and it was running just fine. I called Manny back to let him know and we cancelled the afternoon appointment. He then gave me his number just in case. I was so relieved that I didn't have to pay for a repair today. If it wasn't for Manny listening to my problem and diagnosing a possibility, I would have probably had to have paid for a service call. Because of this top notch service, I will definitely put this service on my contact list. I will also share what a great experience I had with this company. Thank you Affordable Appliance Repair!!!

Great we have used this company twice and both times were great. The service provider apperance was very clean and presentiful. Gave use the price up front by showing use the price in a book that has all the prices. I cant wait until the next repair ):

Excellent. I called at 8am and the repair man arrived at noon. He had the part on his truck and was able to fix it immediately. Pricing was per a standard cost book. I rated the price excellent due to the Angie's List discount.

We have a fridge and oven range potentially in need of numerous repairs. My wife first spoke with Don over the phone and he gave her a clear understanding of the range of possible issues. Then Jerry came out to our house and he diagnosed and explained the issues clearly and concisely. For various reasons we knew we had a fair and honest assessment of the issues and potential repair options. We will definitely be calling this company again for future appliance diagnosis and repair.

Affordable Appliance is the only company to call. They are reliable, reasonable, professional & efficient. Initially I called because my 2 Asko dishwashers were both behaving poorly. Asko is difficult to locate service providers for in this area so I was skeptical that it would be a good experience. I more than half expected someone to tell me that both units would need to be replaced... instead, Manny sprinkled some heavy duty cleaner in, started both washers and actually came back the next day to do the same thing again... once he was sure they were working he still left his cell number just in case! I've never even heard of such a thing. He's wonderfully kind and I love that he always calls about 10 min before he rings the bell. After he saved the dishwashers, I called affordable to service my refrigerator & freezer. I was surprised & delighted that Manny also came do this work as well. It turned out the ice maker needed to be replaced... Manny got the part& came back the next day to install it. I couldn't be happier with the service I've received & I will always call Affordable Appliance first!

He did the work he promised to do. He was unable to eliminate a noise from the dishwasher, but the work was done well, professionally, and promptly. He was a very friendly and honest man. I did feel the price of the part was very high because I found a listing on Amazon for a similar part for one fourth the price of what was quoted to me.

Dave came out, tested the machine (to the degree that he could), called his parts supplier and let us know that the machine was not working and probably couldn't be repaired (it's at least 20 years old). It was a Kenmore (Whirlpool) washing machine that was electronic. When he talked to his parts supplier, he was told the part would be about $280 plus labor, and then chances were that he would get it installed and find out there were problems with the touch pad. When everything was said and done, the bottom line was that we might as well go out and buy a new washing machine (which wouldn't break my heart). He also gave me some education on our front loading washer that has a steel drum in it. I told him that after washing, we do leave the door open, and he agreed this is a good thing to do (so it won't rust out). He said to just make sure I follow the instructions for maintaining my washer and dryer, as there are things we need to know. I cannot say enough GOOD things about Dave and this company. He was friendly, very informed on various washers and dryers and HONEST. Believe me, next time there is an issue with any of our appliances, Affordable Appliance Repair is the first company I'll call. I would give them an A+++!

I called this company on a Monday morning at around 8:15. The owner said that the technician would be there between 9:30 and 11:00, which was fine with me. Manny arrived at 9:35. He diagnosed the first problem as a broken water valve. Despite the refrigerator being 24 years old, he had the part on his truck and replaced it. He showed me the cost in his blue book and subtracted 15% for an Angie's List member. He said that if there was no ice in two days, then call them back and he would not charge me for a visit. On Wednesday there was no ice, so I called the dispatch number again. Manny came 20 minutes later and replaced the ice maker for $145, which seemed cheap to me. Now we have chilled water and ice.

We were very happy with them. We called them and within 2 hours of the call he came out. He checked out the dishwasher and did a diagnostic. He found that the front panel had some loose screws, so he tightened them up. The price was, I think $97 but he dropped it down to $55.00 because he didn't really do much. I like the fact that he was on time, he came in a timely manner. He was clean and not smelly. He was very professional. The work was great. We thought it was great that he checked everything out and found out that it was the screws loose on the panel and he dropped the price to $55.00 which you don't see very much. Usually they will charge you full price plus additional. I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them.

Although Jerry came out twice to work on my cooktop and could not figure out what was wrong with it, I really like his work ethic and he is very knowledgeable! I will definitely use this company again.

Carlos the technician arrived on time, he checked out the ice maker, knew right away, it was bad, and explained, and showed me why. Then gave me a price that was reasonable to replace it, when out to the truck and got the new one (I was shocked that he actually carried them on his truck) and replaced it. Quick, courteous, friendly, quality work. We're VERY happy. He did a great job.

Showed up on time, figured out the problem and fixed it. After he left I looked the part up online at it was $35. So for an additional $230 he installed the part which took 5 minutes. He did charge me straight out of the blue book - so what can I say?

We had some issues getting the right parts, but Doug kept us posted of everything that was going on every step of the way. He kept in constant communication, gave us a very fair price for the amount of work done and was extremely professional. Very pleased and would absolutely call him again.

He physically showed me why parts needed to be repaired and was upfront with any options I had, as well as the cost involved. Both times he was here he was professional, polite, informative and clean. I spoke with the owner over the phone twice and he was polite & friendly as well. The repairs, pricing and customer service were all great. I would definitely use Affordable Appliance again, and would highly recommend them.

Great service! They came out the same day I called (today) and explained everything they were doing, answered all my questions, and made sure that they showed me the faulty parts. Wonderful experience. I appreciated the advice to try the less expensive route 1st, and if this doesn't work, they will credit me $'s towards the "next step".
