David was very professional; he diagnosed that our RO (Reverse Osmosis) system caused our ice maker to fail because the water pressure from the RO was too low, which led to a drip that shorted the heating element. He replaced the unit, and advised me to get the RO system PSI increased, and went over how it should appear if working correctly. Our vendor that maintains the RO system didn't want to adjust the PSI because they felt that could damage the system, and instead added a second tank. This did not increase pressure, and our ice bucket wasn't filling up. I called Affordable Appliance Repair back and asked if they could return to change the ice maker settings as a work around to the low PSI (something I knew about from watching youtube videos). When i spoke to David, he was happy to show up and make the adjustment for free. Overall I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this company. PS - I was lucky enough to remember that our other fridge had an issue also, and thought I'd get David's advice when he made a return trip to make the free adjustment. He knew exactly what was wrong and told me I had to set up a new work ticket for a repair job. Given how professional and helpful David was for the ice maker, I didn't think twice about setting it up.

The experience was perfect. They arrived on time, they had the parts needed to fix it and they fixed it quickly and it was exactly what, the cost was exactly what they quoted us.

Ended up choosing to not finish the job and get a new machine. Rene was terrific I would have him out again!

I have been using this company (specifically Manny) for a few years. Manny has come out for a variety of appliances: Samsung front-load dryer, 2 Maytag refrigerators, and our Bosch dishwasher. His ability to diagnose is excellent, so quick, and the repair has been 100% for us. I am willing to "pay for what I get" which is great service with someone I completely trust. Even my husband said "those guys are great". And he used to install appliances back in the day. My only hesitation is applauding too much because now everyone's going to ask for Manny! Sigh.

They were very pleasant and responsive with all of our communication. In the end, we decided to purchase a new dishwasher. When I requested a refund on the Big Deal they were very courteous and directed us to Angie’s List to get the refund and they even followed up with me via email.

Technician arrived per schedule and replaced defective control board. When he finished he asked if I had stainless steel cleaner. He cleaned off refrigerator front where he had made finger marks from his repair. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. He left contact number of we should have any problems.

They showed up on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, but unfortunately didn't have the part with them. They came back the next day and completed the repair quickly and professionally. The technician, Robert, was very professional, friendly and transparent about what he was doing. I would definitely use AAR again.

They showed up the first day and had to come back the next day to complete the job which was entirely my fault :) They returned today, completed the work and everything works great.

They have been very good. They were prompt, nice and repaired it quickly.

Charlie arrived immediately after calling me to let me know he was on his way. He diagnosed my washer problem and gave me an estimate. Makes more sense for me to buy a new washer and he gave me advice on what brands to buy and what to stay away from due to high repair bills. Will use this service should the need for major repair of appliance arise again.

2015.02.01 Update: The part I so easily ordered was indeed the correct part. In response to the repair company they never did give me the option of having the repair since THEY could not locate a part. Upon repair I discovered the washer (I'm calling it a washer, it is similar with cut-outs) in the switch mechanism was rotated in such a way that the knob would not rotate. Rotated washer, and problem fixed. No parts needed. Still switched out the old with the new, and I'm back in business. Came to appointment on time. Looked at the problem identified the part, gave a quote to replace $365. Then they called the office and said that they cannot get the part. Collected $55 for service call and gone. I went to the internet contacted the manufacture that confirmed they did not have the part (listed price @ $85) but had a couple of suppliers here in town that would probably have the part. I Went on the internet, 5 minutes later ordered the part for $70 (with shipping). Called recommended company from supplier for cost of replacement about $170 if I supply the part. OK, so first off, the part was easy to get, second they were looking at charging me $55 + 365 = $420 !!! I'll just do it myself for the $70 in parts. I don't like messing with gas lines, but I just can't see paying about $350 in labor here from these guys. If I were to have someone else do it, I would use one of the other recommended service companies that gave me a quote of about $170 for labor ( I supply parts). I'm out $55 for trying these guys... Lesson learned. Won't be doing business with these guys again.

I was thrilled by the service from this company. Came out the same day and quickly fixed our dryer. The owner even called me the next day to check in. Definitely recommend.

In order to fix it, they would have had to get behind the fridge to replace a water dispenser valve which was outside of my budget so they did no work. The fridge was blocked in by a counter so it would have been a bigger job than anticipated.

They were very easy to schedule with and showed up exactly when they said they would. The technician worked for 2 hours to try to repair the washer and but suggested we replace the washer because it would be too much to repair it. He was very thorough, fast and efficient. He was also very knowledgeable and super fair with pricing.

I contacted Don through Angie's list to get a quote on replacing the door seal (boot) on my front load Kenmore washer. His price was good and we set up the appointment. Don is quick to return messages. The serviceman arrived exactly on time and the work was well done, and the price was exactly as quoted.

they were busy, took extra day to get here, had to order, then took 2 additional days (from scheduled return) due to his getting hurt at another job. all toll, took 10 calendar days to repair.

The guy who did the replacement was awesome...very punctual upon arrival and did the job well done.

Freezer still not cooling. Service guy now dodging my calls and texts. Had friends call on different phone. He will pick up, and promise to come back but then doesn't show. Total scam.

Rene was on time and very courteous and business like. He advised that due to the age of the appliance that repairs would be impractical and costly. Said a new range would be a better way to spend my money

I thought this is "affordable" place to ask fixing my dryer stop providing a heated air. Just exchanging an element, which costs around $20 itself as a part, was estimated for $280. When I called the company and made an appointment, I asked about the Angie's list coupon, but I forgot to make it sure because the technician did not mention it. I just feel I overpaid.

They gave me a discount even though it was a totally different problem. They are really great. What I like about them is that they are on time. When they say that they are going to be there, they are there at that time. They are very reasonably priced. They explain everything we can do. They don’t make one call out, and then we don’t have to go back and come back. They do it all when they come out. They are just really friendly. They are a pleasure to deal with. The price and quality of their work is very good. They are just real easy to deal with.

It went very well! They came last night and replaced the garbage disposal after determining it was older than we thought and it needed to be replaced. He called twice before arriving: once to let me know he was on his way and then again when he got closer. He was very nice, very efficient, and cleaned up after the job. He was very professional and very personable. I would definitely use them again.

The call center to request service answered in two rings. The call center rep was friendly and helpful. I explained I had no working washer and needed work done ASAP. They sent someone out the very next morning. Rene, the service tech who did the work, was outstanding. He was polite and was clearly knowledgeable. He ended up saving me a ton of money by explaining the cost of repairs would approach the cost of a new washer. Since the one I have is already six years old, it was stupid to pay so much money to get it fixed when about the same amount would get me something new altogether. No complaints! They arrived when they said they would and provided honest information and services.
