He was punctual. He called before he came which was great. He used our vacuum to clean up the lint/fuzz that was in the dryer. I had a large kiln shelf on the wall of the laundry room. Looking back I should have moved it but after the guy left I went in to the laundry room and it was broken into many pieces. He did not say anything about breaking the kiln shelf. I cannot imagine he did not know. It is replaceable but it would have been professional to admit this happened. Also the laundry room area was not clean after he left. I am not sure if appliance repair companies use their own vacuums but that may be a benefit instead of using the customers.

When I called after reading the reviews on Angie's List I was told that there was a repairman in the area of my home and they could come out that day. He arrived right on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He did not have the part but called and ordered it ( it was already in the warehouse), so he arranged to come back the next morning to complete the repair. When he came back he completed the repair and then showed us how to clean the coils (and cleaned them for us). He also answered some questions about other potential work to be done on other appliances. He looked at the washing machine and said that the hoses did not need to be replaced and they looked just fine. I really appreciated his promptness and professional manner. I was also relieved that the repair wasn't so expensive that I would have to consider buying a new refrigerator. I would definitely use Affordable Appliance Repair again and recommend them to my friends.

It was a stacked set, so they had to remove the dryer first, and then reassemble the set after. They were done quickly and checked to make sure no other problems or leaks were present. Got here on time (slightly early actually!). Very nice guys.

On 3/22/16, as with the initial estimate appointment, Affordable Appliance arrived within the scheduled time period. Their technician was very professional and polite. He completed the work in a timely manner and also cleaned out quite an accumulation of lint from the dryer's vent. The dryer once again heats up and is working properly. We also feel safe knowing the lint removal will prevent the possibility of a fire. Thank you for a job well-done! We would definitely use Affordable Appliance again and would highly recommend them!

Charlie explained to me he thought the reason my refrigerator wasn't working was because of a bad relay. If he replaced it, and it didn't work, it was the compressor, a much more costly fix. He installed the relay, called it fixed and walked out the door for $225. Four hours later, on a Friday afternoon, the unit was not working at all. Tried calling late Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, leaving messages each time on the several different phone numbers listed for this company. I do not understand their claim for no extra charges for after hours because I was unable to get any "after hours" service. Bottom line is it was the compressor, and we are not willing to invest that amount of money into this fridge. So Charlie says I will only be charged $135 for Labor. Seems a little pricy for a refrigerator that doesn't work.

I was able to schedule the service promptly. The vent did have a lot of lint buildup. Since I was not the first occupant of my home, I was concerned that this service may not have been done recently and could pose a fire hazard. Jerry did a thorough job and I feel that this was a minor expense to pay for peace of mind.

Technician Mike diagnosed the problem as an issue with the sealed refrigeration system in this refrigerator, and advised that we contact Kitchenaid as that system is still under warranty. Mike advised he could repair, but we would have to pay for it, as his company is not an authorized Kitchenaid repair service. There was no charge for his visit and diagnosis, which was very nice. I would call this company again for appliance service

Awesome! Loved how he anticipated the problem and had the part on his truck. Quick, on time, personable, competent and I surely will call them again.

I spoke with the owner, Don Decker, who was willing to diagnose and give an estimate over the phone. He explained that a $55 service call would be waived if the service was performed. An appointment was set up for the next day (Saturday) between 2-4pm. Mike, the technician, arrived around 3pm and was pleasant and professional. Mike confirmed the phone diagnostics and was able to complete the work in about 45 minutes and within the phone estimate parameters. I would use this company again.

Although I didn't end up needing service on my dishwasher, I just wanted to recognize the fact that I was very happy with the speed of response and the clear back of the envelope estimate of possible work needed. It was most appreciated!

I had water dripping from somewhere inside my fridge. Over the course of a few days, there were several cups of water that had accumulated underneath the vegetable bins and dripped onto the floor. I called Affordable Appliance Repair and explained the issue. They had someone come out the same day, assessed the problem (a clog in the drain line) and had it repaired in minutes. The scheduler and technician were extremely professional and friendly and I felt that the charge was appropriate for the work done. The tech (Rene) called me 30 minutes prior to arrival and arrived exactly when I expected him to. Would definitely hire again!

Had a leaky freezer ona whirlpool gold model. Was there the next day with the repair parts and fixed it correctly! GREAT service! Use these guys!

The provider was right on time for the first appointment. I own a veterinary practice and he was mindful of the staff, the patients and treated everyone with courtesy and respect. He gave me an honest quote to repair the dryer, and also the option to replace it. I told him I would think about he. The next day he sent me some dryer prices and where to buy. I opted to repair the dryer instead of buying new. An appointment was made for January 20 in the afternoon. The repairman was on time and finished the job efficiently, and again with courtesy and mindfulness of the business we were operating while he was working. I highly recommend.

eI'd called and asked that the my renters be called directly to arrange a time that they would be home to evaluate the burner that wasn't coming on for the largest burner on the radiant heat stove. And I asked that they call me (as the owner and payor) to give me information on what was broken and an estimate prior to starting the work. Over 10 days later, I received a call from the service person who said he was just calling to get my approval to do the work. When I asked more about where he was in the process (having already gotten mixed messages), he finally stated that he had called the renters ahead of time, gotten the model number of the stove, arrived with the part already purchases, without any call to me first, and had installed. He hadn't closed everything up on the stove, and was now asking for my payment, $396.50. Here's my problem. His communication started out to indicate that he was calling to have me ok the work, but then he finally admitted to having installed without permission. I had no choice at this point, had not agreed to this prior to the work being done. I was driving and could not provide a credit card number, so he said he would have to take it all out and charge me the service fee, and that fee would remain even if I called later to provide credit card number and he reinstalled. I asked if he could wait a few minutes and I would pull over the call back. I don't really know if this part is this expensive (approx. $260, I think he'd said) and that the time it takes to install is worth another $130, but it is bad business and unprofessional to simply complete the work, then charge, especially when I had expressly asked for an estimate. Will never call them again despite the great ratings on Angie's list.

I called at 8:00am and they were able to fit me in the same day. They had a cancellation so they called and said they would be there early. I met the tech and within about 30 seconds he had it narrowed down to the heater or the timer. He had the part on his truck for my 18year old GE refrigerator. He took the freezer compartment completely apart, defrosted the coils, replaced the heater and reassembled everything. The whole thing took about an hour. It cost about $300 with my Angie's list discount. I thought the price was a little high, but I might be out of touch with prices. They certainly deserve to make top dollar for the job they did but a new side by side is $1200, so is it worth 25% of a new one??? Time will tell.

When our one year old dishwasher stopped working we thought we would have to start shopping for a new one, but we thought we would try Affordable Appliance before putting out all the extra money. Are we glad we did! Robert came out the day after we called and had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. He was professional, neat, and extremely personable. We will always use this company in the future for any of our repair needs.

Doug doesn't give up! The refrigerator was acting up in so many ways and Doug was able to get to the bottom of the issue and get it running like a charm. He showed up the next day after I called and kept returning until everything was complete. He even called me to see how the refrigerator was doing (my doctor doesn't even do that.)

On 12/4/14 submitted request on company website for service. Company promises quick contact times and next day/same day repairs. After a day of not hearing anything from them, called company to try and schedule appointment. Again, no return call. Next day tried again, was escalated to supervisor of some sort and I had a tech out on 12/8/14. Diagnosed issue as the control board in the range hood and had to order part which was fine. Shortly after Christmas, tech came out to replace control board. Turns out that wasn't the issue and was told they would get price estimates on the new part and let me know. No further contact was received from the company. Fast forward to October (yes, 10 months later), tried to call and have them repair hood since it was never completed the first time. Called on 10/15 or 10/16 and receptionist took information and stated a tech would call to schedule appointment. Once again, no contact. It is now 10/27 and the company has not responded and issue is still unresolved. This company has zero professionalism as demonstrated through their repetative lack of communication and follow-up. Maybe the only way this company gets good reviews is if they have parts in stock and can repair on first visit. Had high hopes for this company based on their reviews and even let the original oversight slide, but their lack of response is ridiculous. Plenty of other quality appliance repair companies out there.

I had thought the appt went well and the repairman did what he could. After cleaning the dryer vent, the repairman had said the dryer vent was very clean since nothing came out. However the next day I went outside where the dryer vent goes, and everything that had been in the vent was in my yard! I was very frustrated that when he cleaned my vent, he didn't go outside to see if there was lint everywhere or to put something out there to catch it. When I called he said "Ya that happens sometimes." It rained that day and I was happy I found the mess before the rain made it worse. When I used my washer the next time, it was also not level so it was shaking terribly when washing. I had to wait 4 days before they where able to send out the repairman to adjust the legs. I've used all of the cleaning products suggested for my front loading washing machine, but it still keeps getting the musty smell (and I leave the front open when not in use). In the end, I really don't know what I paid for!

Don was very courteous, professional and timely in his call back and during our conversation. He spent about 10 to 15 minutes over the phone without pushing for an appointment or anything else. Kind of like calling a friend in the business. I will definitely call his company again when anything else comes up with other appliances in the future, and I told him so. I'm a big believer in letting someone know if they deserve it. Obviously, IMHO, he does. Honesty like this doesn't come around all the time these days. I know I'll be a future customer when (not if) another appliance fails.

It went well. My house was built in 2008 and this is the first time I have had this done. There was not much to clean out, which is good. I am just glad I got it done for peace of mind.
