 + -1 moreDave (the owner) was very nice and very responsive from day 1; he gave me a quote within 2 days of my original phone call He arrived on time the day of the job, worked all day, and finished the job the same day. It was a very laborious job and a very hot and sunny day but him and his employee worked like dogs. My husband and I were very impressed and very happy with the job they did. I would definitely hire him again!

Description of Work: We called Dave back to do more work in our home. This time he installed to new sinks and counters in two bathrooms and installed new faucets and plugs in both sinks. The job was tricky because both bathrooms have faux painting on the walls and I was concerned that it might be damaged when he removed the old countertops. But he was careful and there was no damage. The installations were done quickly and well with no leaks and the new countertops with integrated sinks look fabulous. This is the second time we've called Dave and I will continue to use him for any handyman jobs we can't handle ourselves. He's a great guy too.

 + 3 moreThe quality and quantity of his work is outstanding. He is very conscientious, knowledgable, and a hard worker. He worked in 5 - 6 hour stretches and never took a break. We will definitely have him back in the future to do other tasks.

Description of Work: Got an estimate for a garage ceiling that needed a drywall ceiling installed. Dave showed up right on time and gave an estimate and we agreed on a time to begin work which was only the next week. He and his assistant showed up just as scheduled and the work was completed to perfection. He is very professional and concerned about doing quality work. I would highly recommend him. He cleaned up after working and I am completely satisfied with the finished product.

 + 5 moreI was referred to owner, Dave Shurleff, by my boss. We are new homeowners with no experience in household repair, and have been taking advantage of in the past by other companies. Working with Top Notch was a refreshing change. There was no surprises-there were written estimates and final invoices with everything explained in detail, and all my questions answered. He is now our new "go to" man, offering a variety of services. I now trust him to work in my house, and around my pets, when I am not there. He cleans up after himself, and protects my items. It was so nice to come home to my newly remodeled bathroom and everything was done, it was like he was never here. In certain areas I was unsure, he offered helpful suggestions and ideas that I did not think of, I trusted his judgement. We have received many compliments on his work, and he has stood by his work if I had any future questions or concerns. I would highly recommend him, it was a welcome change to the bad experiences I had hiring others in the past.
Description of Work: I had several jobs done in my house by Dave Shurtleff, including my bathroom remodeling, he installed a bathroom fan, changed my vanity and plumbing, removed the old textured paint, etc. He selected, bought, and installed my front porch railing, removing the old one. He repaired a crack in my basement wall foundation. A new door was added to my garage. He bought and installed my new thermostat. he removed an old heater system that was an eye sore in my garage, and repair the hole in the roof it made. He tore down the front of my garage, removed the old brick, bought and installed a new door, tore down the old frame, built and installed a new support frame and more.

 + 0 moreHe arrived on time and went right to work on the items that had to be repaired. He was polite and friendly. Everything was explained what was wrong and why . I would call him again and pass his name to others who need someone to do these types of work. I did pass his name on to a friend and she call to say was very happy with his work and disposition and how he showed everything that need to be done. So that is two persons who are very satisfied with him,and would call him again. My friend lives in Lancaster so he is very willing to go to other areas.
Description of Work: Called and he returned the call almost immediately. I had the kitchen faucet fixed as it was moving all over the place plus the outside tap was leaking and would not shut completely off.
