First of all, I'm thrilled to have my computer working again- thank you Joe! Our problems started a couple of months ago. The computer started slowing down, stuttering then freezing. First of all it was just the internet then it spread to every program. The first thing (ok, maybe the third thing) I thought of was a virus. However, my anti-virus program didn't catch anything though it was continually being hit. I did the usual things, clearing out temp files using IE, running defrag, scouring the internet for solutions. I ended up calling Joe since none of those things did anything. He got to me that same day. Joe started by dialing in remotely. He first ran a cleaner that found 1.3 million temp files that IE had not found. Yes, it's unbelievable! It took hours to delete all those as the computer was so slow. Then he ran an virus program. Nada. At the end of 7 hours of cleaning, it ran a bit better but not super. He suggested changing the IP address to try to get rid of the constant virus hits. It was possible that Norton running constantly cleaning up hits was bogging down the system and hogging all the memory. He felt that something was still wrong but we left it there as it had taken 7 hours to get to that point. I changed the IP address and started collecting MAC addresses of our mobile devices, but the system was just getting worse again. It became totally unusable. I called Joe and took it over to his place immediately. The next day after he'd dug deep into the system and ran additional programs, he found the virus that was the problem. He manually removed all of the associated files. Now it works great plus at his suggestion, I got a new router that takes advantage of Cox's speed. So the speed is better than ever! The first round he charged only $273 for more than 7 hours of work. The next round, only $80. I was thrilled that it was so reasonable as it was a ton of work! I know a little bit about computers but not enough to find this type of problem. I do know it takes a lot of experience and patience to tease out a solution. Joe was extremely patient as it was a much bigger job than we'd first thought and he's very experienced.. He kept plugging away until he found a solution. We're very glad to have found Joe and will not hesitate to use him again (though I hope we don't have to soon!).

joe was professional, effective, explained everything he was doing. I did not feel like being taken for work that was not needed. his services solved the problem and the network has been working flawlessly since the visit. highly recommend.

My college daughters laptop was disabled by a virus mid semester. Joe was able to remote in and quickly take care of the problem. He explained his actions in terms I understood and taught me a great deal about computers and viruses. When the issue turned out to be a little more complicated than originally thought, he had me drop it off to him, and had it finished the same day! Very knowledgable and professional.

Went very well. Joe was right on time with his call to me, fixed the problems efficiently and all I had to do is sit back and watch!

twoHe took over and did a masterful job of cleaning my computer. He not only cleaned and sped up my computer, but gave excellent advice on overall usage and safety factors. Have used four times in last two years. Has become a trusted and reliable friend. One can certainly not go wrong in trusting Mr. Shipley with his computer, wireless and interfacing problems. I have no qualms at all in turning my computer over to him completely to him. He has also been available and amiably answered questions when called--at no charge.

Joe was very responsive and competent to resolve several issues. We have used him several times in the past and he is our go to guy for IT issues.

I had purchased a big deal for computer repair and services. It was $60 for computer clean up and more, and it turned out okay. There weren't any additional charges. The price was pretty good.

I wish even 10% of all businesses were as responsive, helpful, honest and ethical as Joe Shipley. I called Joe on a Sunday morning and what immediately struck me about Joe was he was trying to resolve my problem over the phone... Most technical people say, bring it by, let me look at it, etc. etc., so that really was a pleasant surprise. Only after exhausting everything he could think of to resolve my PC problem (over the phone) did he agree to let me drop it off. Everyone else I called had a "what's in it for me" business agenda. When you find someone who is genuinely trying to help you like Joe was helping me, you feel you'll be treated right, so I dropped off my desktop computer with him. He spent a great amount of time trying to restore lost data on my PC and eventually identified a hardware failure. He even brought an expert colleague into the restoration effort to ensure all potential restoration avenues would be covered. This expertise, time and effort should have cost me much more than what he asked, but since my lost data couldn't be retrieved, he felt bad about it and kept his fee at a bare minimum. If you have PC problems, and you have to go to someone you've never gone to, Joe is your guy. He's very honest, dedicated, and forthcoming about what he offers and the timely solutions he provides. His guidance allowed me to fix my hardware problem in a matter of minutes. I will definitely use Joe Shipley in the future.

My Vista-running computer suddenly stopped communicating with my 25+ yr old laser printer - tried the fixes I knew and nothing worked - telephoned Joe and left a message - he promptly returned the call, explained he was on another project and gave me an extimated time for a call back. Joe called back, immediately understood the problem and in approximately 20 minutes restored communication between my computer and printer. He was a true professional and should any computer problems arise in the future, he will be my first call.

Joe was very professional, punctual and fast. For everything he did, it only took an hour and 15 minutes, less time than I thought. He was able to "remote in," saving me a lot of time and effort so I didn't have to drag my p.c. somewhere else which was a huge plus. He was very courteous, patient and explained everything he did and answered all my questions. I was very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needed computer maintenance. Great job, Joe!

He knows his stuff quite well however he created some problems on my account for which it took another forty five minutes to correct. He charged me for that time and it was a very high rate. I think he's very competent but I felt like I was overcharged. I just used him once. He heard my problem and was able to get right to it. He explained to me what he was doing along the way. He worked quickly and he was very positive the entire time even while we were running into problems. He was a pleasure to work with. I did feel like he created a problem for which I had to pay him royally to correct which I didn't think was professional. He put something on my computer that he had to take off and it took a long time to get to it which was not good.

great job! I've been to Joe several times. Since I have a technical background myself, he doesn't get easy work. Yet, he always gets it done for a reasonable cost. I Will not go anywhere else.

It was diagnosed that my problem was an old hard drive that was failing. Joe recommended going to a local service to see if they could save any of the data off the old drive.

I made an appointment to take my equipment to dealer's place of business. He told me that it would probably be ready the next day but he called later the same day to tell me it was finished. I picked it up the same day. Mr. Shipley was very knowledgeable and efficient.

It went well and it was helpful. He explained everything very well. His price was a little more than I would have liked.

Joe Shipley is the Super Hero of computer fixes. He has worked with me, my father and my 16 year old son. No waiting for a "geek" to come to your house. Joe does it remotely and at the exact time scheduled. He is quick, efficient and knowledgeable....and has a delightful personality.

I called him and he returned my call soon thereafter. He looked at the machine, identified the problem and gave me his charges and an estimate. He stayed on the phone with me the whole time and explained to me what he was doing. My computer is now working wonderfully and much faster.

Joe was patient and kind. He worked quickly and efficiently and got everything up and running well. I contacted Joe initially last week to discuss the problem and told him I would contact him after the weekend to schedule a time for remote repair. I contacted him this morning around 8:45am and we scheduled the repair for 10:00am same day. Joe was great!

All services provided were performed as expected. Call this guy before calling the hood winkers!!

Joe is an amiable guy and knows exactly what he is doing. He is whip smart about these things and downloaded the appropriate spy and ad ware necessary. I highly recommend him to your members and will surely do so for all of my friends.

Accessed my computer remotely and over 1- 1 1/2 addressed the above issues and services. Easy to work with. He basically took control of my computer and then walked me through what he was doing. His rate was $110 per hour.

I wish i would have called Joe months ago. It was so easy to do over the phone. He was able to repair 2 laptop computers in an hour and a half. Both computers are free from viruses and run so much faster than before. I would recommend Joe to anyone needing a computer expert.

He tried to help. He stayed on the phone with me, we just couldn't connect the computer. He was most professional.

Joe was great, extremely responsive, tons of suggestions, great communication. We didn't find the exact cause of the problem so there was not even a charge. I am computer literate and when I get into sticky situations again, I will contact him in the future. Scott
