Joe was great and gave the full hour of value and great service. We bought two coupons, one for my husband's PC and one for my Mac. Joe said that he didn't have all the cleaning programs for Macs and gave me a refund as a result. He did a great job with my husband's PC, and we'd use him again.

It went very well. He spent over an hour with me online. He cleaned my computer and increased it speed considerably. He took a great deal of patience with me and answered all my questions. What I appreciated most was that shortly after he began he explained that it might take longer than the already paid for onehour. He explained he fees and gave me the option of extending the session or not. I knew up front my cost and time. I would certainly recommned him to anyone.

Joe resolved all problems remotely. He is, very professional, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He really knows the ins and outs of software. There was no way I could have begun to do this. The computer is now operating as it should and I will keep Joe on speed dial forever.

Mr. Shipley sent me a .pdf of instructions for cleaning my system before he was to enter my computer on-line. On the morning of October 7, he called and we were able to connect thru a compatible program so he could review and clean my system. I mentioned that I thought there had been virii which came in thru e-mails. He was thorough, personable and worked quickly. Thank you, Mr. Shipley.

Joe was just the best - he talked me thru everything he was doing as he removed the Microsoft add on and reinstalled the original program I had been using before Microsoft pushed their new one on me. Then he cleaned up my computer and removed a lot of programs I did not use nor want. As the original reason I chose Joe did not take the full hour, he did spend the entire hour doing the clean up and explaining things to me. He was courteous, very knowledgeable and very patient with someone who is not really computer literate. It was great to have someone do all this remotely so I didn't have to have someone at the house nor take the machine somewhere. I will use Joe again when the need arises.

Joe was GREAT. We provided a list of problems to him that we'd been experiencing over a period of months. He had us prioritize them, as we said we wanted to keep it to an hour if possible. He sent us an e-mail w/some things we could do ahead of time to save us time when he called!!! He called promptly at the designated time. Due to him having a few computer problems of his own, he added time to our hour. We went down our list question by question and were able to take care of them all within our time frame. One question he was not sure of, so he said he'd research it and get back to me. I had an e-mail from him the next day and it fixed my problem. He was polite, knowledgeable of everything, and most of all patient -- my husband and I are not real computer savvy. I would highly recommend him to anyone!!!

The process went well. Joe was the technician that remotely accessed my computer and started the cleaning process. He sent the instructions prior to the appointment so that he could access the system and get right to the problem. It also made the process shorter which allowed me to get a printer setup as well. He gave clear, easy and explicit instructions. I will definitely use his service again! Great experience!

Mr. Shipley called me back at the exact time agreed to and proceeded to generally fine tune computer and remove various annoying problems. From start to finish, I really appreciate how Joe handled every aspect of the service. Within a few hours of purchasing the Big Deal, I received an email from Joe asking my reason for purchasing his service and clearly stating what to expect. He saved us both time, and he saved me money by having me download a few simple programs prior to our scheduled service time, which I'm happy to say was within one business day of my request for service. Joe was very careful to explain over the phone exactly what he was doing as I watched every move he made to my computer. He took time to understand how I use my computer and to verify that he was not eliminating any necessary items. He answered all of my questions in simple, understandable terms and shared tips about how to keep my computer operating in top condition. Now my computer is running faster than EVER! But best of all, I have peace of mind knowing that all that extra cyber junk is gone, and I'm running with a clean machine. It's a great feeling!

Joe Shipley remotely tuned up my computer, removing malware, unnecessary files and cookies, etc. He checked the registry, and looked at the Start Up files, removing any that were not neccessary. During the tune up, he answered my questions, and provided instruction on how to use certain files in Windows. I asked Joe about an older program that created files with an extension that was proprietary to the vendor, so I could no longer open the files. Joe set about to solve the problem for me and we talked about some possible solutions. He agreed to continue working on the problem. Later that day, he came back with the solution, and the problem was solved. My computer is decided working faster, and the problems I was experiencing with malware are gone. This is the third time I've had Joe Shipley service my computer and I'm always very pleased with the results. Joe is very nice to work with. I definetly will continue to use this service.

He called or emailed when he said that he would. He was fair with the time....and stuck to the price that he quoted for the entire job. He was patient. I was very happy with his service and am recommending him to my aging parents since he is patient and they need someone who is patient. He was also very professional. I cant say enough good things..... I just hope that he can maintain his high quality of service.

Joe resolved an issue in which my laptop would become unresponsive. I spent about ten days troubleshooting the problem, thought I had it fixed about 5 times, but the issue always returned. Joe spent about 1.5 hours working with the computer. He made a lot of changes. We aren't sure which change that he made solved the problem, but something did as it's been a week now and the computer has been, and is, running great!

What a strange time we live in. In calling Joe at Smart Ideas I feel like I have connected the future to the past. His service was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous; it reminded me of romanticized notions of the past when personable, considerate, patient, and effective service was to be expected. He performed his work with all of those characteristics, and he did it while working on the technology of the future - at least for many of us who are technophobes. It was cool to work with him, he was patient and comprehensive - left me feeling like even if something comes up later he would take of it. He even helped with a second computer while we waited for downloads or clean up programs. He really seems like a good guy who will do a very good job for you at a reasonable price. I highly encourage you to give him a chance to fix your computer - he is what we are looking for when you do not want to get ripped off. Thanks for the good service Joe!

Joe was great. I had purchased two new computers and after a horrible experience with Geek Squad I called Joe. Joe was able to get everything working including a new touch screen monitor. He also helped me set up an automatic report that monitors my child's use on her machine and set up a link to Windows 7 so that I could access an operating system I was more familiar with. He arrived right on time and was responsive on the phone as well.

Joe was great ,I could not use my laptop because of constant interruptions Joe did a remote access and went through all the files to see which ones I wanted to keep and which to disable he explained everything to me as he went and gave me guidelines for any future issues. He was amazing to work with and my computer works great now.

Joe did a great job and explained everything to me. He is a wealth of information based on years of experience. He used analogies rather than "computer language" to explain things so I would understand. He installed some software to help my computer run better and help me locate files quicker. My main computer issue was a shut-down problem and he worked it out as well as gave me advice on using my computer better. He made a 2nd trip to my home for follow-up at no charge. Very nice person and professional. I would definitely recommend him and have already done so to my colleagues. I'm sure I will use his services again and was very satisfied -- particularly with his follow-up to make sure all was running well. Thanks, Joe!

Joe is the best. He called me right back when he said he would. He gave me a repair estimate beforehand that was accurate. He efficiently cleaned all the junk out of my computer and now it seems brand new. We had all sorts of viruses and unnecessary files taking up space and making the computer crash when we tried to complete simple tasks like open two web pages at one time or cut and paste within a word document. Since we do not have any technical knowledge, we got frustrated and were ready to give up and kick our machine to the curb. Thanks to Joe, no need to do that. And he gave us tools to use weekly to help prevent this from happening again to us. I would highly recommend this guy if you need computer help!!

Easy, quick and simple, what more could you ask! He logged onto my computer from another location, ran some programs and had it back in action...much improved action in no time. It was a Big Deal and it was a Great Deal!
