Description of Work: Cut a shelf into two sections and modified one to make room for an electrical box, including braces so the second piece still provided shelf space, and repaired weather stripping on a garage door. As noted above, the quality of the work, timing and professionalism were great and I'd recommend Paul to anyone.

Description of Work: Miscellaneous tasks, putting up battery-powered lights, moving and dismantling a large piece of furniture, and installing a handle in a door that needed a special drill which he had. Paul was great and did everything well. Some jobs took some maneuvering and planning. He is good at that.

 + 0 morePaul arrived and quite quickly, cut and attached trim at the base of the wall where it had been removed when I re-did the floor. He also cut and attached the trim around the door, as well as spraying in foam insulation. He cut and attached thresholds to cover the gap between the wood floor and the tile entrance and fireplace hearth. He did a great job with all this. His price was great too. He was fast and the finished job looks great. The only problem was that I asked him to install my new ceiling fan. He took the old fan down and then left it on the floor in parts. He started to attach the new fan, but then told me that due to the slanted ceiling, it was impossible for the fan I had purchased to be installed at all. It turns out I did need an extender, but the lighting company sent someone the next day who completed the job in about 20 minutes! Paul also charged me for this job that he did not complete (it was a reduced rate, so only about $20). Since I had to also pay the lighting company, I was frustrated about that. On the trim work and floor thresholds I think he did a great job for a great price. On the ceiling fan; I wish he had realized before he started that he would not be able to complete the job. I would hire him again for any trim, woodworking job that I needed done.

 + -1 morePaul was great. Very professional. I have him a list of things to do in every room in the house and he just went down the list from room to room and got everything done. I felt overall that $470 was a lot to pay for what was done however, it was time consuming. He was here the whole day, he charges by the hour and really works during that time. I'm not sure he ever even stopped to eat lunch. If we need a handyman again I would use him. If I had another long list as he does charge for transportation.

 + -1 morePaul and I prioritized the most important items and made the most of his time by allowing me to go and purchase the items while he started taking things apart to get ready to repair. Upon my return, he worked fast yet with attention to detail. He showed me how I could address other more cosmetic areas myself, which was invaluable advice. He was punctual and worked hard.
Description of Work: Paul performed numerous repairs including drier duct, light fixture, repair of screen/security door, kitchen faucet repair, garbage disposal repair, bathroom plumbing repair, etc. Paul also provided great advice on how I could repair some of the other items myself that had been found during inspection. He does a very quality job.
